My network send a sms saying that you have voice mail. I use to recive ...but now it stoped.
I already called several times to them...and the problem is on my side..
What can it be ?

you need to backup your all doc. and contect and then HARD RESET the phone
power button + ok button + soft reset button all combine = HARD RESET

I have an erroneous 'voice message waiting' indicator that I would like to remove. It shows up as a message icon in the top bar and also gives me a 'notification' message on the today screen (left hand softkey). When I select 'notification', it says I have a new voice message. Then i hit 'dismiss', but the message indicator in the top bar does not go away. I have tried going to voice mail, but there are no messages waiting.... Each time I soft reset, the notification reappears
Aside from a hard reset, does anyone know if there is a way to reset the message indicator counter to zero?

Ok, I guess I am down to a hard reset then . Anyone know of another way?
tried tapping the voice mail icon in the top, and then dismissing?
if that doesn't work
tried dialing your voice mail and listening to / deleting all messages ?
if that doesn't work
call yourself, and leave a voicemail - wait for the voicemail notification, call your voicemail, listen to yourself (hehe), delete, and see if that makes it go away; read this approach in some other thread
Many thanks ZeBoxx. I had tried these approaches, but without success. I believe that the voice mail counter has somehow got stuck with one entry that cannot be deleted. It may have something to do with another SIM that I used overseas, that was no longer a working number... for some reason, the message showed up then and I can't seem to delete it... Thinking it may in some way it may need to connect back to that number to clear the counter...
Oh well... I might give phoneAlarm a try before I hard reset, as that app interatcts with the message counter and I may be able to do it from there...

I am having trouble sending text msgs but not receiving them...and my autocomplete works only in the body of the message (i want autocomplete for the text message recipient). Any ideas of what i should do besides a hard reset. Cingular 8525 is model
also my ok button closes programs but memory shortcut does not work
One of the most annoying "features" in almost every ROM I tried (and I tried a lot!) is that if you are in Manila's SMS or e-mail tab and press the call button (in order to open the dialer).. then the dialer will automatically dial the displayed e-mail or SMS sender's number.
Does anybody know how can this be disabled ?

I have the same problem. And it is soo frustrating, i press the phone button and immediately have to press the end call button. Then type in the number i want to ring.

Is it possible to call the sender of the message form the sms menu itself in my T mobile wing , I was able to do it on my old nokia cell , Is there any thing I need to change it the settings.

I was wondering if someone can edit phone.apk and add/replace a button with a SMS button, so whenever you want to send a message to someone, you enter the phone app, type his name (smart typing), press the SMS button and it opens to u the SMS application with the recepient as the user you typed.
Is this achievable?
Why dont you just swipe left on the contact to send message?
