That beta on the 13th is ONLY for WAP phones, NOT for Windows Mobile. Just letting you guys know. It's a completely different beta.

just a heads up and fyi for nfl fans.. i've been waiting a long time for this on WM devices, usually only for the older phones.

Not available on Titan?
I tried downloading the NFL Mobile Live app that released today and got an error message saying "NFL Mobile Live is not currently supported on this
device". I tried to get more information from a tech support agent - not much help there - she said that the feature will not be available on the
Titan/Mogul. Kind of hoping this is incorrect because I was really looking forward to this app ... anyone have better luck or more accurate info on this?
I tried too, no luck. I sent a text message to 7777, received the link to the application, clicked it, and got an error message that said "We're sorry, NFL Mobile Live is not currently supported on this device". Tried going through the Digital Lounge on Sprint.com too, to no avail.

yeah i've been researching and looks like all WM users and bb users are pissed this isn't available yet. looking from the demo they have up on their site this app runs on java... so release it already sprint!!
I've been following this for days. Don't pay attention to what the Sprint reps say about it, they know NOTHING.
It just because available for BlackBerry Curve users this morning. This is confirmed, yet if you ask a Sprint rep, they say it's not available for that either.
What bothers me is that right now, if you go to purchase a new phone from sprint.com, the #1 feature listed for the Mogul is "NFL Mobile Live".
and now they've removed NFL Mobile Live from the Mogul. Which means every single phone on Sprint supports it except WM phones.
Real nice.
I'm still not completely discouraged by the fact that it isnt listed as available for the Mogul since Sprint TV isnt listed there either and it works just fine.
The real test will be to see if someone can get their hands on the application and see if it'll work as is or if someone here can work some magic and
get it to work ...

Is it time for another online petition? i think it's pretty lame that we paid so much for this phone and don't even get what the budget phone purchasers are getting (Instink) and (BBW Curve). It's getting pretty old pretty fast.
Supposedly it will be released for the Mogul very soon. A version for the Centro was just released.
That's pretty stupid that they have those commercials with the phone like a football stadium and they don't even have it working.
I don't have Sprint, but I was able to get the cab file for the 2007 version to work. I hope they come out with a cab file for the new one.

It's a Sprint program running on the Sprint network so I'd imagine you'd need a Sprint phone. But I do remember a while back a few people on Verizon got a hacked version of Sprint TV to work on their phones so maybe someone will get it to work for other carriers.

this cab was out a couple months ago, but still links to a page that says like your phone is not supported. everyone please give it a try, i can confirm it does not work on the touch pro or the mogul...
i'm still holding out hope that it will work sometime this season come ooooon sprint!!

i also install it on my mogul, but the only thing that bugs me is how slow it is, other than that perfect!

i don't see why the thread has been closed even though the beta is supposebly over. (mine is still working and i installed it the first day it was released). i think we should be free to discuss about it. I'm personally creating this thread cause i need to report some major bugs so D-man can be aware of these issues that are very annoying.
1- with the Touch Pro. when your phone is locked if you slide out and and then you slide right back in the keyboard it automaticly remove the password protection and unlock the device.
2 with the touch pro again. everytime when you slide the keyboard and go try to type something on email or messages whatever it doesnt let you type the first try it takes you to call history. u gotta type on the task manager on the messaging section to go back and the second time it lets you.
if you have any other issues/thoughts, please share

i tried the sw and i found a strange thing in the setting xml file... there was a command line called "deploytrojan=1"...
however, i think this sw is really cool, would be better with autolock function and the possibility to set a "fixed line" of icons not sliding with the other... and a better clock function.

You people should read the threads. People are different. So is D-MAN666. He wanted to end the beta to keep his interest. Most things that are in beta, REMAIN beta for A LONG TIME. And he felt that it would be better to do them in phases. He is weird I'll give you that but who isn't? I'm certainly sure that some people think I'm weird.

I think iDiamond is really nice, BUT I think it sucks hard that there is no weather app included and reading a sms is als crap cause the keyboard almost covers 80% of the new message...

If I remember correctly DMan666 said in the Idiamond thread he would make sure people could still use the beta after january 15th.
I hope he does because I have been using it since the day it was released and love it.
For the people whining about lack of weather and active icons etc. It is a BETA and nobody is forcing you to use it. So give positive feedback or come up with constructive ideas instead of pure negativism.

since the new twitter policy rolled out yesterday, does anyone if there will be an update for Peep?
Per a tweet from HTC themselves last night, Twitter is actually working on an update for the HTCPeep app and several other mobile clients, that is supposed to fix the issues follwing the API change the other day.
MoTweets is currently the only app that works with the new authentication (that i'm aware of). 3-4 bux on windows marketplace.

I really dont see how Twitter is working on this, unless HTC shipped them the source code to Peep and is making them rewrite it? yeah right!
There's really nothing that Twitter has to do from their end, HTC needs to rewrite the authentication portion of Peep. The only possible thing Twitter could do is reenable Basic Auth, which im sure they will not do, atleast not on a permanent basis. If Twitter was feeling kind they could reenable Basic Auth for another week or 2, give the developers of all those twitter clients that window to get their clients supporting OAuth, then cut off Basic Auth again.
This whole problem is HTC's fault, Twitter notified developers MONTHS ago that this change was going to be taking place. In fact the change was originally supposed to happen back in June or July and was pushed back to give developers more time to get their clients updated

I would agree, but from the sound of the message, they're doing it to re-enable more mobile clients than just HTC's, so maybe there'll be a basic auth "bridge" for just mobile clients..? I don't know any more details than that, but HTC did firmly put the issue in Twitter's lap with that announcement

Suspiciously my Motweets won't retrieve my timeline today and I think the last time I used the program was Monday and it worked fine. Ha. Did I speak too soon?

I'm all about some TweetDeck. Adobe is working on a port of "Air" for Android, which is really promising for TweetDeck in the future. However, I have a hard time believing that Adobe would work too hard on Windows Mobile, especially since Windows Phone 7 has just been RTM'd.
On the bright side, I'm digging me some Motweets. I really like the whole pic preview thingy, even TweetDeck isn't doing that yet! I still miss being able to tweet from a tab though. HTC is not going to waste time working on HTC Peep, especially when they also have Windows Phone releases on the way.
I feel like I am holding a sparkling, beautiful machine that was seriously outdated the day I bought it. Twitter's switch to OAuth is just another sign that Windows Mobile and the associated apps are on a fast track to the great recycle bin in the sky.
Oh, and if any of you are interested, there is a way to get in on the Adobe Air Android Pre-release program right now. Testing phase only, but it's gonna be awesome

one thing that REALLY bugs me about motweets, for selecting a photo to upload it uses the windows mobile thumbnail view which takes FOREVER to load and thumbnail pics. the thumbnail view used throughout sense is much much faster!
I tend to upload a lot of photos to twitpic/twitter and it annoys the hell out of me

I believe the beta download is tied to your phone via serial number or MAC address. Tried to let one of my Friends use me Samsung account and it wouldn't work. Samsung must have been MAD that everyone was sharing the beta update zip it is locked down now.
I am trying to have them do this to my phone, I got a warranty replacement and they can only have one IMEI per account and the registration servers are being optimized so the will switch it later. Probably opening up beta registration again.

I signed up for the beta in the Samsung+ app. Got accepted, installed the beta. If I open the Samsung Members app to submit feedback, it tells me I'm not in the beta. Stupid. If I can't help I don't want the beta (too buggy), but because the Members app doesn't think I'm in the beta I can't even withdraw from the beta :good:
the best part is i posted those screenshots to imgur and everyone took it without crediting me. I know this was last week, but still. I DID IT!

I have the same issue. Two hours on the phone with the 866 number, about 5 different clueless reps, a bunch of posts in the Samsung Forum, nothing works.
I can downgrade the phone using SmartSwitch, but then get nagged to death about reinstalling the beta. Reinstalling the beta doesn't change anything. It's making me nuts.
