I would highly recommend BT Alert for anyone who needs that sort of thing, what ever that is. (i assume BT = Bluetooth?)

v0.4 Beta 1 is MUCH improved over v0.3. It does what it does MUCH more efficiently and effectively IMO!

I've been working on this using Basic4PPC, and it's coming along quickly and nicely. But, I'm using the unregistered version!
I initially wanted to charge a tiny fee for the app, but I have a better idea. If I could get donations to get a proper license for Basic4PPC, then I'll release it and any subsequent versions and updates as freeware instead. Hell, I'll open source the buggers.
In addition to this, it means I finally have a development platform I can use to make the apps that I've always wanted to. I have the skills, just need the tools: so you can get more apps in the future!

Alrighty: So, I gave up on looking for stuff, downloaded Basic4PPC, scraped up some of my old VB knowledge and got cracking. I'm now working on the application myself.
Basically, the feature list for this application would be:
Features
Fullscreen landscape mode
Configurable colours
Configurable fonts
Wishlist
Windows Alarm integration
Dim backlight to 20% while running
Button to enable Aeroplane Mode
The Features List is the must-haves, and the wishlist is the would-be-awesome-to-have.
The iPhone version charges $0.99 for the application. I'd gladly pay $5 for one for our PPC.

That's pretty much the feature list that I'm aiming for. Nice and simple. Working with text is a ***** though, Labels suck. Will be moving to something slightly more exotic I think instead.
What's Currently Working:
It displays time.
Simple colour customisation.
Simple gesture support.
What Needs To Be Done:
Change rendering engine: move to proper rendering so as to do rich text formatting.
Integrate some form of alarm functionality.
Adjust backlight
Some functions may be hard to do because of B4PPC, but we will see.

I know all about skinning today plugins and shells... this is slightly different
What I want to see is just an application that is plain fullscreen that displays the clock, and possibly will allow you to set alarms in it. Nothing fancy.
There doesn't seem to be anything like that for WinMo currently?

Kind of funny to tell someone what they can do with rlToday when they have an rlToday theme in their signature.
I would love to see something like this for the Tilt. Make a great travel clock.

Nice idea. This app should run always, so i think you should add your app to the S2U2 exclusion list (or however S2U2 works to prevent starting itself).
Are you going to add an option that the display is always on? Besides that it would be nice to adjust the backlight through the options so the battery drain can be controlled.

Basic4PPC is a bit ick though, which is annoying me. It limits me.
What I'm thinking of doing is loading sprites in for the numbers, allowing people to create their own just using images.
Colours can possibly be done with some trickery using alpha channels.

I'm just working on the config screen now, got all my variables set up for it so I can change it when I switch rendering modes.
I *still* have the issue that I don't have a license to use!

HW buttons are handy in some cases (when you'd like to switch between the desktops in Design mode), but everything can be controlled using your fingers.

I'm glad you like yrgo.
yrgo should be able to handle auto rotation without any problems. I'm not an Omnia owner but users using Omnia didn't report me any problems with rotating and it also works on my Diamond.
yrgo needs any phone with Windows Mobile 5 Professional or higher. So your Kaiser should be ok .
Currently yrgo cannot replace the Today screen. When you press the red phone button you'll always be moved to the home today screen. But there you can map yrgo with a context buttons for example. Would it be helpful if I prepare and Today plugin to run (show) yrgo? (implemeneting whole yrgo into the Today would be more difficult)
What exactly problems do you have with dual SIM a what exactly would you like yrgo should support? Thanks.

Dual SIM has 2 antennas for 2 operators working simultenously. I understand that yrgo has only 1 operator indicator.

I'm sorry but currently I do not plan to add this functionality in the yrgo. The problem is I have lot of work on another stuff and I do not have either phone nor the emulator that supports dual SIMs so it'd be quite tough to implement it.
But maybe later... if the market says "do it", I'll just have to do it .

I installed this yesterday and had a play and generally I like it. My only real 'gripes' are the fact that it's not a today plugin, the lack of kinetic scrolling in lists, and there's no way to configure the base font size... It just looks too big on the VGA screen on my diamond. I realise the font sizes can be changed for the gadgets on desktops, but cannot seem to figure it out for the fixed pages such as messages etc Is this setting held and configured in the skin file (.ysk)?

1) I'm sorry but yrgo doesn't work as a Today plugin... I can think about such possibility in the future, but currently there's much more work on the functionality side.
2) Yes, the "kinetic scrolling" is missing, but the version I'm currently working on already has this feature. The version (3.1 beta 1) should be released in about a week.
3) Please take look at http://2daysoft.com/yrgo/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=223 post number 6 (from LukyH). There's a description of "secret settings" that are currently not in yrgo itself but can be set directly in the yrgo_settings.xml - you can set the font size and also the default item size there.
I hope these information will make you my customer .

So here is a program for those of you in need!
Here are the functions:
1. you can bookmark pages
2. It will save the last page that you are in automatically
3. It saves the last orientation of the device
4. Both vertical and Horizontal views
5. Next, Previous buttons
6. Clear, big texts
7. Tap and Hold on pages to choose to:
bookmark
go back to the main page
exit
8. You can choose to go to certain : Page, Part, or even chapter
9. Choose orientation in the main page
10. tap the screen to "Page Down" (particularly useful in Diamond which has a smaller screen)
If this is used in any way, or it is to be published in any other place, IT HAS TO BE FREE as this is an open-source program. And the source code should be included if you change anything in the program!

I have been looking for such a program even before this Ramazan, but to my unfortunate i couldnt find any.
Once I download and install it, I will post a reply once I go through it thoroughly and check every feature.
Edit:
After going through the screenshots, I can say that this program is based on screenshots of Holy Qur'an, but not a textual version.
This isnt a real solution for those who are looking for features like enlarge and shrink font, so that word wrap will occur accordingly.
However, once I download this, I will post again..

After installing this application, I can say that it didnt live upto my expectations. However, I am happy since i got Qur'an installed on my pocket PC, which is really great and my desire.
I will be looking through for a program which can actually use text, not scanned images of pages of Holy Qur'an, so that I can zoom in and out and read easily.

I've tried quite a few and between them they offer the best features (translation / transliteration / bookmarks / recitation etc.)
Out of the two Pocket Islam is the fastest but the font is pixelated and uQuran is slower but supports the higer screen resolution Diamond screen.
both are free
but uQuran Pro has lot more features. check out their website for more info.

Try Pocket Islam... it has quran, namaz timings, audio, qibla etc etc.. and I think its free..
but good effort though

I made this for touch hd! Since the screen size was different than the previous ones, I did not find a working quran program!
About pocket islam, I do not know if it has any support for the Touch HD, but I believe you cannot have big texts in it while having kept the page format!
