Guys
Does anyone knows how to jump from field «To:» to message body when composing a new message in Pocket Outlook?
I've tried Tab, Down, PgDn... But all these just scroll down...
The only way seems to be tapping the message body but I would prefer to just use the keyboard.
Thanks in advance for any help!!!
i think as standard you can use the down arrow or tab to scroll down from the to box. If you change the IE behavior tho to scroll down pages instead of links then you also get the problem you describe.
Down arrow and TAB do it for me on my SPV M3100.
Gav.
You were right DeanJ... I did change Pocket IE behavior! Now it works just fine!
Thanks guys!

my question is how do you get rid of the envelope????
Please help me
Thanks alot

same problem
i have same problem ...
Hi m8,
i hope someone has the answer, and also does anyone have this problem with the UK rom installed???
Thanks alot
Zetex
I have had the same problem on my XDA II
but when i got the next SMS it went
i even did a soft reset.
Now my wife's phone is a Nokia 3330 and she has the same problem
Just do a soft-reset to get rid of the stuck "sms sent" notification.
This happens when you have SPB Pocket Plus installed and set to close applications when you click on the 'x' symbol. If you close the inbox app before the "sms sent" notification goes away, then the notification icon (envelope) gets stuck.
You have two choices:
a) Remove SPB Pocket Plus or set it so that it does not close apps when you click on the 'x' symbol, or;
b) Wait for the "sms sent" notification to disappear before closing the inbox app.
Possible fix...
Hi,
I'm using an XDA 1 but should be the same fix for you luck XDA2 people...
Start -> Settings -> System -> Pocket Plus.
Highlight Feature "Close Button" then click "Feature Options".
Click on "Programs to Minimize".
Add "inbox" to the list and hopefully that will fix your problems... (it did for me anyway!)
Enjoy!
Follow-up...
Just to follow-up....
I think my solution is intermittent!
Try also adding "poutlook.exe" and "tmail.exe" to the "programs to minimise" button.
Of what I have read, "tmail.exe" is the one you want. But put the others in as a pre-caution.
If this still plays about then the only thing to do (unless anyone else knows what programs the Inbox runs) is what rene_canlas quite rightly says with regard to switching off the close button feature on Pocket Plus.
The only other thing to try is going to the Pocket Plus web site and asking the question: http://www.spbsoftwarehouse.com/products/pocketplus/support.html?en
Go to the bottom of the page and ask.
Right,
Think I can help all of you! (maybe!)
Lets see if I've got this straight....
A text comes in and you get a wee white envelope icon in the top border with a "comment" box displaying the text message for a few seconds. If you do nothing with the comment box - or miss it (it only displays for a short while) and read the text through the "inbox" program the envelope icon on the today screen won't go away until you click on it and delete the text.
Pain, but it's because there are 2 routes to read messages which don't really talk to each other.
Hope this helps
Does tapping your tab button allow you to move from the subject line to the main body of an e-mail?
When I tap mine it just scrolls the screen down, which is really annoying. I'm sure it never used to do this and i'm concerned that I might have changed something in the registry by accident?
If so, any tips on how I can put this back?
Any thoughts would be much appreciated.
Hi there
I got a Qtek 9000, the European JasJar..
I've the same problem with the TAB. 1 week ago, using TAB was moving the cursor to the body of the message... and suddenly, the behavior is different, just a scroll down... :?
Why :?: Any idea :?:
Are we talking about when composing a new message or reading a received one?
When composing on my o2 Exec, pressing [Tab] moves from the To: field to Subject: field, then to the message body itself. Pressing [Tab] again, inserts Tab characters in the body.
With received E-mail, pressing [Tab] sucessively moves from sender's E-mail (or display name) to each hyperlink (E-mail address, attachment filename, etc.) in the message body. When at the end of the message body, the next Tab expands more detailed E-mail headers.
In neither case, does [shift]+[Tab] reverse the Tab direction - only moves forward.
Just in case it make any difference, I have Tom's PQz utility installed - now in main memory since latest version crashes upon turn-on when in SD-card storage.
Thanks for your reply, astage
I was taking about composing a new txt message or email, and actually, my Qtek doesn't work like yours anymore..
I can press TAB as many time as I want, it stays in the 'To:' field... the cursor never moves to the 'Subject:' field... :x
it seams the TAB key just does an 'Arrow down' instead of a TAB movement... except if I move to to message body with my finger and press TAB, it does a TAB... weird behavior..
My Pocket Outlook does the same thing
My Wizard with Windows Mobile 5 does the same thing. A few months ago pushing tab in Pocket Outlook would move the text cursor from the "To:" line into the message body area. Now when I push tab it scrolls to the very bottom of the message area and the text cursor stays on the To: field.
It's not a major issue, but it is extremely annoying.
Has anyone found a solution to this?
Hi there,
on my Trion PPC with WM5 I have tried to work out a way to mark an SMS as read, without opening the messaging app by the push of one hard key. So far I couldnt get it to work. Has anyone come across a way do it ?
Reason is, that on WM5 the message self displays for a while upon reciept, so no need to futher open the Messaging.
Greetings
Paddy
nice idea. i am also planning on adding this option for the application im creating.
any ideas?
upon receiving a notification, right soft button, and select 'save as read..'. Doesn't open the messaging apps, but not a 1 button solution.
The soft button way is obvious, but thats several clicks. Does anyone know how to assign a command under a short menu to a button ?
A One touch solution is what we need, its so anoying having to do so many steps each time you get the new sms pop up.
Greetings
Paddy
I would do it like noted above.. Add a button to the menu's of the notification .. and let it invoke a dll or application which uses MAPI functions to mark the sms as read.
please can someone help
i have had the phone a week now and there are a few niggles that are annoying me. the main one is contacts. is there anyway that when i select the icon on the home screen it takes me straight to the contacts list as opposed to my favourites? thanks
also - the phone doesnt go in to landscape mode during email or text, should it, or is there a way i can turn it on?
thanks
I know on mine there is an All Contacts button on the Home page. This saves you even scrolling over to contacts...
I recommend you to load a new ROM with which u'll find solutions to your pblms. Mine is Laurentius v 2.2, which is great !
Landscape on browsing, sms, etc... : easy !
thanks for your replies. actually, the most annoying is that when in emails i cant scroll down to delete trash etc without opening it. i think i am missing the little d pad on my beloved hd touch
When you're in the email inbox, all you have to do is tap and HOLD on the email header and it'll give you the option to delete it without ever opening it. Or you can delete multiple emails at once via the "select messages" option in the menu and then delete. It shouldn't be a problem...
As for the landscape problem, there are several programs that'll give you the ability to change to landscape mode whenever you want (e.g. HD Tweak, Advanced Configuration, Quickmenu, etc)
cool, thanks for the info there
Hello guys!
My first post on this forum, please excuse me if this has already been covered, but I don't see it anywhere..
The sms preview screen is driving me nuts... I always click on "All messages" to see threaded view...
Is there any way to mod the phone so it just goes STRAIGHT to "all messages" in threaded mode when you click on the text messages icon?
Are there any cab files available for the issue? I don't see a way to disable it right on my phone out of the box...
Many thanks!!!
BTW. I'm talking about the simple black screen with white font that pops up when you move the slider on the home screen to "Messages".
That black screen is so freaking annoying!!!
Bump, Anyone?
well....
well i dont know of a way to make the tab go straight into all messages, but you could uncheck the show messages tab in settings=personalize home tabs and just add a shortcut for messages to your homescreen
DUDE!!! That was one of those things that was right in front of my face but I didn't see. Excellent call. It's an even easier way to get into messaging than what I was trying to get.
Cheers!
i use CHT so i disabled the tab and set the defualt messaging client to the message icon in my start menu
