WM5 Themes - 8125, K-JAM, P4300, MDA Vario General

Hi guys,
I made a CAB file with 9 WM5 themes in it.
It are all "normal" themes, no pictures and stuff in it, just different colors!
Just install the file and select a new them from "Start --> Settings --> Today"
These themes are in the file:
Windows_Black.tsk
Windows_Black_2.tsk
Windows_DarkBlue.tsk
Windows_DarkBlue_2.tsk
Windows_Green.tsk
Windows_Green_2.tsk
Windows_Orange.tsk
Windows_Purple.tsk
Windows_Red.tsk
Regards,
Molski

could you post some pics of what these look like?

Hi Molski,
thanks for all the good stuff you publish but I think you attached
the wrong zip. It won´t install the WM5 themes instead it installs
the Molski.Biz StartUp Manager!
On your website I couldn´t find the WM5 themes cab.
Could you please attach the real deal because I am really looking
forward to some new colors.
Thanks in advance!
FREIMAURER

Hmm.
StartUp Manager here, too.

Sorry guys, will add the right cab in a hour.
Molski

Black colour wanted
Hi Molski,
Could you kindly add the cab file, i would like to use the black one.
Thanks in advance.
Mav

Here you go people (it's attached in the first post).
Regards,
Molski

Very much appreciated, thank you.
I'm way too lazy to have done this myself. >_>

WHY WHENever i try to use the blk theme it comes out grey not only your theme every blk theme i use the only way i can get it blk is with a theme editor

adjust your brightness/contrast?
Molski

Hi Molski,
thank you for this cool set of screens. I like the orange one a lot
after using the green one for three months ;-)

I downloaded the file and it works like it should. No problems at all with extracting the zip archive.
Inside the zip archive is a CAB file, copy that to your Wizard and execute it.

Hi lifendet,
you are probably using the windows xp integrated file compression technique.
Check here: http://www.softpedia.com/get/Compression-tools/
for a free zip tool which can handle zipped (compressed) files better.
I use winrar (not free) for extracting files and did not have any problems with
Molski´s WM5 Themes.
Hope this helps!

I always use WinRAR. After the trial period is over you only get some pop-up that you can buy it, just close the pop-up and keep on doing your thing
Molski

Yep, that is also true! And you don´t even get the nag screen if you
just extract files an don´t open the archive with winrar.
molski, when do you think you´ll get your 2.26 rom with the 2.47 radio rom
finished?
I am really looking forward to this one
Thanks and have a good one
FREIMAURER

thanks guys I got it to work...sweeeet

Thanks so much for the themes. I like the Black one, though, like others have said, it comes out grey (w/ a little blk) on my device, it still looks hot.
Is there anyway to get a Black dialer to match this theme too?
Thanks in advance.

use the carbon theme fallN

[SKN] Calculator skin (Manila style FINAL) VGA, Cab installer

hi all, i recently seen a nice spb calc diamond skin, and i decide to make my own much more like manilla dialer (white), hope you like it !
Portrait AND landscape .
screenshot:
as usual install spbcalc wich is in the zip, then copy the 2 gifs to your /windows
EDIT: you must copy the 2 gifs files with file explorer like resco or total commander FROM YOUR DEVICE, don't use activsync!!, when do it properly the system must ask you : are you sure to replace existing files ? then answer yes to all, this way it should work...
EDIT 2: QVGA conversion by vitornog SEE PAGE 3 !!!
EDIT 3: "Ready to use" CAB file by Rondol1 on PAGE 4,thx man !!
EDIT 4: Updated portrait (with smoother fonts) see attached zipped gif, copy it in windows folder...
EDIT 5: FINAL VERSION SEE: SPB CALC MANILA STYLE FINAL.ZIP, I have not included QVGA in this version cos the image quality is not good in QVGA and i don't have a QVGA device...Installation as usual...Waiting for someone to make a "ready to use" CAB
EDIT 6: Now with cab installer , many, many thanks Rondol1: thanks to him just install the cab and voila !!
Updated with landscape mode...
Cool, now a new Manilla skin for the windows Agenda?
Thanks man nice job.
Cheers.
thank you for saving us from the ugly moth*r fu*er wm skin calculator!
why can they do a decent skin for such a common but useful application? why?
thanks for your great effort, I'm going to give this a try, I like it, it's simple and clean interface.
It doesnt work. I get the black skin that comes with the .cab .. but not this skin. I copied the Gif in to Windows folder .. what have i done wrong?
may be try a soft reset (if not already done)
...did the system ask you to replace the old gifs ? if not, you surely unzip in wrong folder or apply path when unzipping, the gifs must be in windows folder not in windows/spbcalc.../
please check, and tell us.

same for me on my diamond, & I've already copied the 2 attachment skin files to window folder, any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
I had the black background too, this was when I tried to copy the images via activesync into windows, it did not prompt for overwrite.
I copied the files onto the internally storage, then copied them and pasted them into windows folder on the device using file explorer on the phone, it then prompted if I wanted to overwrite.
It works with the method I just did.

(how To) Install A Theme

I'm Really Having A Hard Time Trying To Install A Theme On My Diamond, would Somebody Plz Help Me Out?
1,use TF3D config
2,use winrar unpack *.theme, then copy to windows
thnx man i'll give it a shot,i'm used to wm5 so touch flow is totally new 4 me,there's a little issue though.
i couldn't apply a background picture
thnx man,it worked, unlike wm5 it took way too long
I still don't know why theme creators don't make a cab file of their themes. The only thing a theme is made of are manila files. With a cab file you also don't need the TFL3D config program. Simply click the .cab file on your device and you're done.
@ Theme makers: there is a application named Qickcab.exe. Cabs are so easy to use and you get rid of all the repeating questions on how to install .theme files.....

I think it's already a great favor that the theme creators make all the gorgeous themes and generous enough to share them with us (they could keep the glory to themselves, look at those gold and diamond themes. We could have been drooling at them instead of showing them off on our diamonds). Do you think we are asking a bit too much to ask the theme creator to make the new theme and then ask them, "why don't you make the .theme file as I don't bother to convert the .png to manila files? Why don't you make the .cab file even saving my time to install diamond config?" I think as fellow xda-developers who know what to do, we can help out by making them instead of asking the creators to do it themselves. Or create yet another sticky faq to explain it. imho. Anyway, I bet even when .cab is created, somebody would still post a question asking what to do with the .cab he downloaded.
I fully agree but its a hard work too to copy all files to windows folder...a theme file or cab isnt so much price to do for them. I think..maybe anyone of them dont know how to do it so why dont advice them...
Ok, sorry guys, in my previous posting it wasn't my intention to piss the theme creators off. I respect their hard work. But I find it a bit strange the way .themes have to be installed. First you have to install TFL3D config utility and then you have to make some additional steps to install a theme. Why not keep it simple and create a cab file of the theme ?
I think the knowledge of the theme creators is good enough to also find out how to create a cab file out of it.
Also creating a cab is a 3 click process. Takes only 30 secs extra
Will make a short guide how to make a cab in a moment.
The reason i make theme files instead of cabs is the file size..
I agree cab files is much easier, but they just get too big with a cab!
I use cab files for minor changes, like a clock or some icons...
exampel..
Vista Ultimate Theme.theme - 1560kB
Vista Ultimate Theme.cab - 9070kB

Ok that's a big difference. But How many files are in your themes ? Do you put all the manila files in it, or just the changed ones ?
In the end both will be 9070kB But I got your point.
theme file is much better than cab which cant be always uninstalable (experience with some clocks fot TF3D) and it isnt for me such a sacrifice to such a great themes to install this user friendly program

I have about 450 files... And I made it as small as possible..
It's not just the image files...
And it depends on who is installing it...
If you have the same TF3D as I have it would be enough to just install the changed files...
but If you have another TF3D you have to replace some other files too...

I think copying manila files is easier than installing as .theme (I haven't tried .cab so I can't say anything on that). I usually do it via bluetooth. All I need to do is to beam the relevant files (via bluetooth) and then move them to /windows (using Total Commander because you can select a batch of files to move instead of one-by-one). It doesn't take much time as the relevant files are not a lot (e.g. for the gold diamond theme, just fewer than 20 files). Simple drag and drop will do.
so first of all there is 200+ files so you have some lite version maybe
the second thing...Im using resco exp which is the best for me and every replace file in ROM i have to confirm very stupid, common File explorer is the same and I wont install another explorer just for installing themes...
Guys, guys, all That Is Good But I Still Didn't Get The Answer, why Can't I Put The Background Picture That Comes With The Theme In Th Background ? It Just Gives Me A Plain Background

200+ files for a theme? Well, I have tried the darkred/darkblue, gold, gold with diamond themes and they only have <20 files involved (all found in the thread Themes for TouchFlo3D). Where did you get the 200+ file theme? And don't use Resco exp. Use Total Commander instead. I have both on my diamond and Total Commander has an option "yes to all" (similar to Windows replace command) and all I need to do is to select the group of files, find the directory to move to and then "move" then "yes to all" and done. Just a few clicks on the diamond will do.
Or alternatively, you can wire connect your diamond to the PC and move everything from your pc (so that you don't need to touch any primitive file explorer on your diamond).
guys,r u gonna keep arguing & not answer my question,i installed a theme & came out very good but without the background,so how can i apply the background to it?

No... It's been missing for a long time..
and the one circulating I made from the T-mobile theme
But I'm guessing if u find it, it will probably be from an old TF3D version and be slow and sluggish..?
But what I can see... the only difference from standard TF3D and this one is the white background and Black font text...
So It shouldn't be long until we can edit the coding in manila files and change those things hopefully!

Would be very nice if u could upload it

has anyone had trouble using tf3d config utility to apply this theme?
i've renamed the .rar to .theme and when i click apply, tf3d config has encountered an error and tells me to quit and restart.
I rather use tf3d config to apply the theme, jsut so i can revert back to the original theme just incase.
unless someone can make a cab installed for this?

I've put all the files in my Windows folder. Everything works fine(so far as i can see)
Only the clock don't work. It sticks on 0:00 hour..
sorry dubblepost..
you might wanna try doing it again.
i just used resco explorer to manually overwrite the files, and my clock is working perfectly!
nope , resco doesn't do it.
...I took the manila files of the clock en put them in my black theme. Looks nice..
i have overwritten the old _manila file with total commander.
And all works fine.
The file its a rar not a ZIP.
You have to deompress and recompress as a ZIP noa s RAR then rename it as a.theme
it should work

Installing themes/manila files without using TF3D Config on a 1.93 o2 ROM

Hi All
First of all I am new to all of this but have spent the last week trying to figure out what to do but failing badly - therefore apologies to you all if my question could be easily found through a google search ...., but I have failed to find it
So at the heading says - how do I install a theme/manila files onto my Ignito without using TF3D Config - I have tried copying them across to the windows directory but still cannot see them listed under the Today settings.
I am using TF3D, on a 1.93 rom on a O2 UK tariff
Fingers crossed someone will be able to help me in simple - idiot proof - instructions
Thanks all
Jean
Ermmm - in light of the fact 77 people have looked at this but not replied does that mean ....
a. Its a really stupid question not worthy of a reply
or
b. No one knows the answer
a lot of people use tf3d config on 1.93 roms with no known
problems.give it a try.you can always take it off again and
return to your stock rom.
Hi i have a 1.93 rom which had the o2 theme, i installed the original black theme on it using tf3d config and ive had no problems.

use total commander to copy and paste the files into the windows directory!
Is there actually a reason why you're trying to do this? TF3D Config is a quick and easy method for changing your theme so to try and accomplish this manually seems needlessly complex. Which, I'd guess, is probably why no one's answered your question; it's likely that no one has ever tried to do it manually as TF3D Config does it all for you.
For the record I've got the stock 1.93 ROM on O2 and I've managed to change theme with TF3D Config without any problems at all. My girlfriend's done the same with her stock 1.93 Vodafone ROM.
Hi All
Thanks so much - the problem I am having is that I can't find any themes within the TF3D config programme - so for example - it asks for a path to the file containing the theme - I highlight the theme location but it then does'nt load
Am I being really dumb!!
Thanks again all

loool OMG select the folder where your themes are located!
You can't select TF3D themes in the Today settings. A WM6 theme (.tsk files) yes, but no Touchflo.. You'll have to either use TF3DConfig> Create a folder called 'themes' (without quotes) in your storage card and put the xxx.theme files in there. Use tf3dconfig, press 'path', doubble click storage card, highlight themes, and press 'ok'. There has to be only .theme files in there, no folders or zip files, they don't work...
Or if you want to copy files to the windows directory, the method is to extract all the manila-files from a theme. Copy and overwrite all the manila files to the windows folder. Folders, zip-files or .theme-files do not work. Only manila files. I wouldn't recommend this one, but you gotta do what you gotta do..

Rom: 1.93.206.3 wme - Original o2 VERSION
TF3Dconfig: 0.6.7
It's very frsutrating as the process should be simple - yet installing a manila theme in anyway seems impossible - I can change the picture background via Flo and of course have a WM theme if I turn off Touch Flo - just not install a theme that intergrates with TFlo - thanks for the time and help
Yes I can imagine. But on the thread about tf3d config, it says 'Please do not install a Theme on a 1.93 ROM!' Maybe he's referring to stock roms? I also have a 1.93 rom, but it works without any hassle. You are not willing to update to a custom rom?
Have you tried to copy all the manila files to your windows folder? Use total commander.. original explorer does not work..
I think that's what I'm going to have to do - just less hassle if I can get away without replacing the rom - never mind it was worth a try - the weird thing is even copying across to the windows folder- via ActiveSyn - also does'nt work - so a bit stumped
Thanks for all the help though
You would have to use Total Commander to to copy files from your 4gb storage card to your windows folder. It doesn't work with activesync or explorer..
Ahh okay thats good to know -off to try!!!!
Perfect - fiddly - but worked a treat - it was trying to copy across via Active Syn that was the issue - hugely appreciated thank you
It's worth noting that this can't be an issue with stock ROMs because both my girlfriend and I have successfully updated our TF3D themes using TF3D Config and we both have stock 1.93 ROMs.
Not that that helps you out at all, but at least people reading this will know it is perfectly possible to do this using a stock ROM.

Same here, i have tried many themes on the stock o2 ROM with the TF3D config with no issues.
I can't believe so many people out there don't realize what the problem is. The aforementioned "Black and Blue" theme (and many others) is NOT a .theme file, so the TF3D Config application CANNOT be used to apply it. It is instead just a bunch of manila files that need to be copied into the Windows directory (with Total Commander from the sound of it). I have had the same problem with the same theme.
Are we being dumb in that there is a simple way to create the .theme file? From a collection of manila files?

I also downloaded M-Amines Opal Phone, but this one is also not installable correctly and it does not have this slider, that protects the buttons, that i can not click "end call" with my face
Does anyone have a Cab with the slider as shown on the pics in the link above?

I don't remember where I got this cab from and I'm not sure whether it has the slider to answer etc. You might want to check the name/size just to make sure it isn't one you already tried. Hope it helps.
Thanks, it is the right one.
BUT: It looks weird
The Slider is not transparent and the Red Button which ends the call is only red and does not show any font.
Do you know why and how to fix it? Maybe I'm doing something wrong

Maybe just make sure you have any other dialer uninstalled before you install this one?

This is what the Opal phone canvas looks like.
There is no transparent slider.
Sascha
Read this in another thread but can't remember where it was: Maybe try this and then attempt to reinstall the cab file. Hope this helps.
Delete reg keys under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\HTC\PhoneCanvas & set HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Security\Phone\Skin\Enabled=0, it should then return to the default windows mobile dialer.

Look at the Pics in this Thread:

The Phone is black-skinned and has a transparent slider. I need this, cause it looks really great
But the author only posted the raw files. Does anybody has this as a cab? I'm not a pro, i don't know how to make a cab out of the files

OK, i got it.
It's the cab posted here and the skin posted in this thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=470510
you just have to copy the new skin-Files to windows-directory with total commander
Thanks all
Look's good, i'm going to try it myself.
Thanks a lot!
I got it via mbarvian's upload. Just great to have it on TyTn II. Hope someone comes with a black colour.

You need the right language files for your ROM.
I installed mbarvian's CAB from here, and it has 3 language file:
phcanrc.dll.0409.mui
ContactAssistDll.dll.0409.mui
PhoneSettingExt.dll.0409.mui
Since I use your same ROM (M-Amine 2.0 [ITA]) I needed .410.mui files and managed to extract these
phcanrc.dll.0410.mui
PhoneSettingExt.dll.0410.mui
from AZTOR Diamond's ROM, and just copied ContactAssistDll.dll.0409.mui to ContactAssistDll.dll.0410.mui.
I am attaching these files, just unzip in \windows and reboot.

P.S.
I also had to install jadeStatusIcons.cab to fix the "battery shows as always full" problem.

Here you go...
I haven't tested these files, but they should work.
In order to extract more languages, just download the ROM in your language from AZTOR thread, extract DIAMIMG.nbh from the archive and issue these commands (you can find the executable here in XDA, just download a recent kitchen...):
NBHextract.exe DIAMIMG.nbh
ren *_OS.nb OS.nb
NBSplit.exe -kaiser OS.nb
ImgfsFromNb.exe OS.nb.payload imgfs.bin
ImgfsToDump.exe imgfs.bin
If everything is fine, you will find a "dump" folder which contains every file in the ROM, just open it and search for the MUIs in your language.

Thanks to all,
I was looking to change my dailer, and the opal one is exactly what I was looking for.
I then install the cab with the one correcting the battery status (works fine)
BUT SINCE MY PHONE IS NO LONGER RINGING NOR VIBRATING WHEN INCOMING CALL !!
I checked the register HKCU/ControlPanel/Sounds/RingTone0 Script String=av0pw3r on the default Windows Mobile ring tone
Any idea?
Many many BIG Thanks in advance !!
Hi all
I reply to myself: I got the solution:
For whatever reason the Category key in HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Sounds\RingTone0 was corrupted: after Ring, some gabrage appear poluting the key.
I just earased it and leaving only Ring and now my phone is ringing and vibrating again.
Good night
Cannot install it on 3LIT3 II ROM Naked... Instalation unsuccesfull
