Hi Folks,
When I use terminal services to control my servers, I have a problem. If I try to enter a % symbol, it does not register.
Could a few of you just start up terminal services and see if it will register a % symbol in the passowrd field please?
Anyone else seen this problem and have a fix?
Thanks
Richardracer
I have encountered the same problem in all areas of Terminal Services. I opened up a command window in TS and was unable to enter the "\" for "cd \". None of the symbol characters work in TS session.
I would really like to know if anybody has a fix?
Thanks.

hi
what i want to know is what it is? and how can i set it up...coz i think it will help me surf my pc???
am i right?? if so please help me out here
i have jasjar and wifi at home
You need Terminal Services running on your PC. I don't think Windows Home can do this, but XP can (and can most recent Windows servers). Then you simply put the IP address of your PC into Terminal Services client and log on as you would normally to you PC. If you don't have a static IP address, take a look at www.dynsdns.com
You use it to control your PC. I set mine up last night, I just did a search on google "setup terminal Services Client Pocket PC" For eg: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;314537
I just think that is easier than typing out the whole thing here.
Works awesome, I found that if I had no background picture and the theme set to "Windows Classic" the connection ran alot quicker and smoother.
Terminal services isn't pre-installed on the M5000 is it? if it is where is it?
Found it..... Was skulking around in accessories... wasn't there on my M1000
I have installed Microsoft terminal services but I get the message" 'mstsc' is not a valid Pocket PC application."
Have I installed a wrong version? Where can I find the right one, if so?
Hello.

Hi Mate
launch remote desktop (you have to be on your home network for you to remote onto another PC on your network- WIFI?)
Computer: Type the target PC's IP address (to get that IP address on that PC hold down the WINDOWS key on your keyboard and press the key R
now in the box thats poped up type in CMD and press enter> now in the black dos box type in ipconfig and hit enter - you should get the IP address)
Username / Password needs to be what you log in with on that PC
domain - leave blank
and thats it.
You ofcourse need to make sure that remote desktop connections are allowed on your PC and the right options are turned on
good luck

this is definitely one of my favorite programs for windows mobile. i'm constantly connected to my office computer. But I have one big problem. I cannot type properly. half of letters cannot be used on hard keyboard. For example i,o... does anyone have solution for this?
Is there a shell command for *#*#2432546#*#* (*#*#checkin#*#*)?
instead of going to the phone menu all the time, i want to have my phone connected to the computer and to be able to just type the command in the terminal and have it check for updates...
Hasn't it been pretty firmly established at this point that checking in doesn't give you update access any quicker than you would get it anyway?
i understand that. i was just curious if there was an actual command for that or wether that was just built into the dialer app.
all check in does is re-associate your phone with the network and let the mothership know you are alive and well
For anyone who is familiar with using the App Inventor tool, have you tried using the emulator while behind a proxy?
There seems to be a problem making a Web.Got call and an error is thrown when the app attempts to connect to the provided URL string and I was wondering if anyone knows of a way to work around the problem.
A screenshot is attached here that shows the very simple web.got call code block and the error that the emulator displays.
Note, the emulator has no issue reaching through the proxy and displaying any standard websites using the stock Browser app, so I can say with confidence that network connections are configured correctly.
Funky Fresh Samba worked awesome on the AFTV. It was even easier to setup than Servers Ultimate which costs $9!
I was able to instal FF Samba but after launching the app, I wasn't able to input any text? Text only worked in the first option but I don't even think it saved the characters in the textfield.
For example, I would go to SET USER NAME and select it but nothing happens, no textfield pops up to enter data?
Anyone else having issues with this?
