3.2 AKU windows media player - 8125, K-JAM, P4300, MDA Vario General

I think I read somewhere that one of the changes in the 3.2 aku was they added a equalizer to windows media player, is this true? and if so is there anyway to take the new media player and incorporate it into a 2 aku rom. I love tcpmp over media player just for the fact of the equalizer. It helps with the sound over a set of BT stereo headphones.

The best multimedia players!!!

Hi guys,
I'm looking for the best mm player for my Jam...
I'd like a player that:
- can works in background
- can play all the mm format (audio/video) such as: mp3, ogg, mpeg, avi,wma divx ecc...
- the player have to stop when I'll receive a call or text and then play again
- the player have to don't use the standard configuration fot the power management (es: I configure my Jam to shutdown after 3min. but if I play mp3 I don't want this!)
The Win media player 10 it's very nice for example but how can i add the plugin fro divx, ogg and all the other fromat?
Any other mm player application?
try this
Think TCPMP is the best.

I think that Betaplayer and TCPMP are the same now
Yeah, TCMP is the newer version of Betaplayer. Dunno why they renamed it, but oh well. Whaever floats their boat!
A good music player is MortPlayer. A good video player is the already mentioned TCPMP. You can also find plugins for the WM to play Divx movies and so on but I would recommend the above combination.
Man, except for TCPMP (aka BETAPLAYER), there aren't any mediaplayers that support all those features...
is there a way to play AAC file (ipod) with WMP 10
I'd like to find a player that can play AAC file (ipod).
I tried Nero ShowTime Mobile which is good but doesn't stop correctly when you get a phone call
Is there a way to play AAC file with WMP10?
Hi guys!
I tried TCPMP and it's really nice but...
I'd like the player in "pause" when I receive an incomming call and with TCPMP I can't find the option to configure it... seems to continue to play but with no sound.
How does it works?
Talking about TCPMP.
A fiend of mine gave me an MP4 movie file which he had on his PSP.
I figured as TCPMP plays MP4's it would be as simple as transferring it onto my device and playing via TCPMP.
It works in the sense that i get great video, but there is no audio.
I get the following message at the beginning:
AUDIO CODEC (MPEG4 AAC AUDIO) Not supported by the player. Decoder was removed from the official install package.
Is there anything I can do to resolve the audio with this player. Or should I use another player?
That problem would be fixed if you had the same codec that Namelous is after (3 posts up). TCPMP comes with the MP4 video decoder, but need the AAC audio decoder to run, as most MPEG-style movies are encoded with separate video and audio. If you were to rip a movie to your hard drive from a dvd to Mpeg 2, more often than not you'd have audio encoded in MP3, so you'd need both the Mpeg 2 and MP3 codecs on your system.
Good luck finding an AAC codec for PPC. If you do, please let me know as I've been looking too!
What about Soundexplorer? (obviously not for video...). It also records sound (much players don't). I like it very much.
Looks like PocketMusic has an AAC plugin.
Haven't tried this program yet, but would love feedback if anyone does (like does it pause music on an incoming call, how is the equilizer, bass boost, overall usability, etc.?)
Thanks in advance!

Okay, I went ahead and downloaded the trial version on my MDA Pro and like it a lot! Doesn't play movies of course, but the equilizer is pretty good, and it pauses your tunes on incoming calls. Other features like mapping to the hardware buttons, big finger-sized screen buttons, skins, cross-fading, and an alarm clock make it nice.
AAC Plugin...

It's illigal in some countries, but when you are not living in them you can try this.

Vids on Trinity

Dear all,
I want to play some videos I have (avi's) on my spv (uk orange rom). I installed TCPMP .72 and said yes to the bit when it told me it was going to disable something to do with the ati chip and soft reset needed (which i did).
My screen goes haywire every time i load my video whether i click on directdraw or ati in options.
The avi has been reduced to 320*240 in pocket divx encoder.
Please help!

PS whats the best mp3 player for the pocket pc?
Here's all you need to know: (Use Raw Framebuffer in TCPMP or Coreplayer)

Good Luck.
Oh, as far as mp3 player, the only way I can get solid bass with the Dopod GPS rom is to use WMP with files encoded as aac. Mp3 sound sucks on that rom. However, I haven't tried LVSW's new cooked HTC rom which supposedly has a bass patch for mp3. Best player irrespective of its performance on Trinity...Coreplayer by a mile.

I've been ripping music from Sky Satellite radio temporarily, I'm not going to rerip all my music. I'm using an aac decoder that makes .m4a files. They sound fine in WMplayer with full bass. I tried the same file in the TCPMP player with the aac plugin...no dice. It has to be the stupid WMplayer . I can't wait for the fix for this sound issue.

Audio Player

Whats the best audio player for the touchpro2 ive tried nitrogen it lags n windows media player not enough memory anyone has any other software

Touch player problem

Samsung creates a basic player with good sound but decides not to let it play wma files. Is there is any way around it other than installing a new player. The WM player is ordinary (as usual)
no, because touch player is a directshow based player, and windows mobile doesnt come packaged with a wmv directshow filter. windows media player decodes wmv internally and not through a directshow filter.

[Q] wma support?

Isn't this tablet supposed to support Wma audio? In the media players it doesn't show Wm a files and in astro it says file type not found or cannot play this file type is there any specific specs that the tablet requires?
Well because it's WM the specific specs are usually a Windows OS.
But try the market for some audio apps like Power Amp.
The upcoming 3.1 update will have:
...
- Media support more and WMA / WMV to improve the display of MPEG-4 Simple Profile.
...
Currently I'm using PowerAmp which plays WMA without problems.
I also use Power Amp, which I found after flashing a custom ROM on my Droid, which came with WMA support 'stock' but not in the custom ROM.
