Windows Media Player help in Wizard - 8125, K-JAM, P4300, MDA Vario General

Does anyone know of any tweaks/ hacks/ xda-developers working on adding an auto-resume or a bookmarking option on top of Windows Media Player? Is this really hard to do? I'm surprised no one has worked on something like that yet.
Also, are there any free/ low resource-intensive media player applications that can play DRM-protected WMA files? My problem is a basic one: Conduits Pocket Player and some of the other "robust" media players are too much for me. They have more features than I ever use, and are way too resource-intensive for my little Wizard. I'm just trying to listen to audiobooks on my Wizard while working out, and hate having to locate my spot every time.
Thanks much for any help/ guidance/ suggestions.

Search for The Core Pocket Media Player. This is a very basic, yet powerful media player for PPC devices. But it doesn't have a bookmarking feature as you've described.

Windows Media player problem

Everytime I try to open up music through the windows media player I get a message- Windows Media
! an unexpected error occurred.
I reset Windows and that did not work then I upgraded to Mibil 6 and that did not work. The only way I can listen to music, I open Windows media then I have to go to the menu button and Open File... thenpick the folder then play. This allows me only to play one folder at a time I can not play random music.
I appreciate any help Bob K
media player is almost certainly the worst media player on ppc for music. use mortplayer or htc audio manger, there's many more but i think these 2 are by far the best. they have many, many more features, especially mortplayer, and use less RAM usually.
thy're both easily available and free, and mortpayer is skinnable (do a google search)

Best intuitie MP3 players for WM 5 or 6/6.1 ?

Hi everybody;
I'd like to know, what are the best mp3 players for Windows mobile pda's ?
Actually i have windos media player (eeeeerk) and nero mobile;
I'd like to find an "intuitive" player, as ipod's player which is perfect for me;
Does any player with Ipod's style exist? or any other intuitive player of this style?
Thanks all.
i do not know anything about trendy apps, but try these, just good, simple mp3players..
gsplayer, mortplayer.
trendy mainstream will recommend sth. like s2p or similar...
I second s2p. cool player
There a number of good mp3 players which might suit your needs such as:
1. Conduits Pocket Player(I'm currently using it) - Extremely functionable which uses a library system similar to the windows media player library screen but more finger friendly. Also uses Windows media Player skins, Pocket player Skins and basic Winamp skins (2.x). Great for maximising your battery life because it can run on a underclocked cpu without any issues.
2. PocketMind's PocketMusic - Great if you dont like to change song via your playlist because the playlist uses a rather small font and is designed for a stylus but the main screen should be fine for your fingers.
3. Kinoma FreePlay - Extremely good program which uses a navigation system which greatly resembles that of an iPod and uses a very clean and finger friendly UI... But it lacks important features such as A2DP and a Toggle Screen function.
4. S2P - Looks great and plays songs alright... lacking a playlist function.
5. AudioManager - Never Tried It =(

Media panel using WMP?

Is anyone seeing the media panel playing their tracks in WMP?
Anyone know why it'd doing this? I'd much rather it play the tracks in the media panel interface.
I think I've just found the answer myself. It only seems to play MP3s and not WMA, etc.
Pretty crap.
The reason is that the file association part... it is assoicated with Windows Media Player and NOT the SE Media Panel...
I reckon they might be a way to edit the assoicated part in the phone some how but I am not the best person for this...
Anyone who can advise...???
Cheers
ENJOY
Anyone???
Is it possible... to associate to the SE Media Panel rather the Windows Media Player???
Cheers

Good Media Player

Hello,
Since I've seen the Media Xperia Panel on the Xperia, I'm looking for a good alternative "finger friendly and eye-candy" media player.
I've tried CorePlayer an Pocket player, but in comparision with the Media Panel on the Xperia they fail in many ways.
Anyone working on a good alternative/stand-alone Media Panel port? Tried to install the Media Panel witch the Blackstone panel-interface, but that does'nt work.
Any ideas for this one?
Try Pocket Music.

Click to collapse
That's what I mean with Pocket Player...
Oh, then nothing better than CorePlayer/PocketMusic atm
try S2P http://ac-s2.com
I tried installing TCMP but got a crash message. Anyone know what's wrong?
If its the crash error you should check this post - it has the link to download the FIXED TCMP..

BTW the version v0.81 does not work with the new windows mobile.
There is only one player i like on WM which is Pocketplayer http://www.conduits.com/products/player/ not pocket music.
S2P would be good if it was smooth, but its impossible to accuratly select albums because its so jumpy.
media players
Coreplayer is solid as far as any others there is a bunch on this website www.freewarepocketpc.net
How about Nitrogen player? (http://code.google.com/p/microfi-nitrogen/)
