So stupid thing happened today - I was listening to some music with Media Player through normal headphones connected through an 2.5mm -> 3.5mm adapter. Suddenly the phone rang and the guy calling hung up. The music continued playing. So far so good. But ever since I can get sound in/out my Prophet only through the handsfree port. I tried soft resetting several times - sound won't come out the rear speaker. I tried also plugging in/out the standart handsfree set - nothing helps.
Any suggestions? I really don't want to hard-reset now..
Exactly the same thing happened with me today. freaky. i have no sound whatsoever coming out from the speaker and can only talk though my bt headset. hope some solution will present itself soon.

Hello all,
since yesterday I have a serious problem with my Ameo.
When making a phone call or running media player there is no sound through the loudspeakers, even testing ring-tone or alarm sound is not working.
However, when a phone call comes in, I get the ringtone through the loadspeakers.
Tried soft and hard reset - both ot making anything better.
What can I do ?
Thanks for your help
Dieter
Now I discovered something strange:
After making a hard-reset, I get for about 1 second sound through the speakers.
Also after re-flashing the ROM I get for about a second somethin through the speakers.
Anybody an idea ?
Dieter
hi
have you used the headphones bevore the sound was gone? there are serval isues on htc devices that after unpluging the headphones one of the contacts inside the headphonejack of the device is not switching back to its normal position so the athena still thinks that the headphones are connected and is sending all output to theme. i had these also one time on my universal.
greetings mad
Hello mad,
thanks for the information. Putting in and out the jack twice got it running again.
Thanks so far.
Dieter

I have this issue, but wouldn't really call it an issue. If I've stopped listening to music, I turn off music then take out earphones. For me its not a big deal personally
Hi,
I have an annoying little problem with my htc touch2: when i plug my headphones and try to listen music or talk with somebody (or any action that requires sounds) the sound can be heard on the headphones and on the phone speaker at the same time. I did a hard reset and the problem was solved, but after 2-3 days the bug reappeared. I checked some forums and none seems to know how to fix this.
Any ideas?
Thanks!
Have you tried BT Audio? I think you can find the program here in the fórum.
Hmm you can just update to new rom. Most problems are rom based.
Hey everyone! As the title says I'm having a problem with plugging in my headset and the microphone.
To be more specific, any time I plug in my headphones (Samsung original that I've gotten with the phone), the phone stops hearing my voice both from the headset and from the normal one. If I unplug the headset the microphone still won't work and in order to fix it I have to perform a reboot
I'm running Android 7.0 stock and not rooted. I do have Tasker installed but I did try a factory reset to check if any app was causing the issue and it still had the same problem
Did anyone encounter the same problem? Any idea? Thanks in advance
When you remove the headphones does the sound switch automatically to the phone speaker?
If it happens on stock ROM after a full reset there's probably a problem with the headphone plug in your phone. Try to clean it gently but it will probably need to be replaced.
Does the microphone on your headphones work on other smartphones?
Hey thanks for the answer!
I must admit I kinda forgot about this post but I did find out the problem.
I'll type it in case somebody else searches for the same issue in the future.
It was just the headphones. I tried my sisters' and they worked without a problem So I just went ahead and bought a new pair
Thanks for trying to help though much appreciated
Thanks for your post.
It's always nice to know what was wrong and this may help someone in the future.
