Is there a way to set up a sound/message to remind me of unread sms?
Maybe something similiar like "Phone: missed call" event under Sounds&Notifications but for SMS.
Ofcourse blinking LED changes color when there are unread sms, unanswered phone calls or reminders but still it would be nice to be reminded with sound of unread sms.
I use phonealarm its great.
You can set it to alert you every so many seconds for a maximum time etc.

Does anyone know of a tool which can automatically provide a reminder that an unread SMS has been received? I'm thinking of a beep every 30 seconds or something like that.
I guess not... How weird, people must be happy enough to miss SMS messages!!

I don't think people generally miss their unread SMS, even without any reminder app. If you had Inbox summary displayed on your Today screen, then you'll know you have unread SMS or emails.
If one couldn't hear the beep when a new SMS arrived, chances are one could not also hear the subsequent 30 seconds interval reminder beeps.
have you found it?
Hi.. Have you got what you're looking for?
I often got unread sms/missed call.
When I check my XDA, it's been a few hours late..
kaiser notifications is the program for you then
Hi,
for each SMS I send, I get a confirmation SMS, which is nice, and I like that. But I would prefer that those special SMS don't ring the same tone as normal SMS messages, as it gets annoying somethimes... Is there any way to change that, without completely disabling delivery notification?

Anyone know if there is a way to get this behavior with notifications of missed call and voicemails...
Call comes in, I miss it.
Missed call notification pops up "Missed call from 111-555-1234".
Caller leaves voicemail.
Missed call notification disapeears.
New notification that shows "Missed call from 111-555-1234. New Voicemail."
Gets even worse if you're using BB Connect as it almost never notifies you. Best solution to all these problems is PhoneAlarm - adds a bar to your today screen with notifications of missed calls, VM's, SMS, Email brilliant little application.
Is it possible to repeat a notification/alarm/vibration for incomming sms/mms?
The vibrating alarm is very weak en I often miss text messages.
In the menu, I see the option "repeat" but I can't activate this.
Thanks!
SPB Phone Suite
If you get SPB Phone Suite there is an option for "Phone Notifications" under which you can set repeat notifications or missed calls, unread sms or voice mail which will go off every X minutes until you read or dismiss the notification.
You can try missedcallreminder

you can fix it with using an application that has feature
Something to note (as a result of the tweak)
1. Missing Unread count on the Messaging tab
First thing you will notice if you do not execute step 3 (as above), is that the messaging tab will never show any unread count bubble, even if there is a new incoming SMS. That said, you will still get SMS notification (i.e. notification sound, notification icon in the taskbar, etc)
Step 3 basically is a workaround fix utility, that fixes the problem by monitoring new incoming SMS and set unread count appropriately. It'll monitor the notification queue, and unset the read count once you processed the SMS notification. However, due to the way HTC implements its notification manager, which takes over standard Windows notification management, in some rare cases, the notification queue might be missed, and as a result you might see the read count not unset even though you have taken the necessary action (i.e. open the new SMS, dismiss the SMS notification, or set new SMS to read). When this happens, just soft-reset your HD, and you should be fine.
2. Missing MMS function
I have a temporary solution to enable MMS function in the Windows text messaging application. However, there's abit of problem in the time of the message transmitted, so I'm not posting the solution yet. You can however, do a google search on "arcsoft MMS" application, if this is one area you cannot live without. Originally Posted by zenkinz
