Hi, can any of you Gurus help?
Installed spb Diary earlier and noticed that it shows up two email accounts I thought I deleted long ago........
However, I cannot open an inbox for either of them and when using the standard email program they do not exist.
Is there any way to delete the properly? eg a folder or registry location for the relavent files/ info?
Any suggestions would be graty appreciated.
Thanks in advance!

I just re-flashed the ROM of my Wizard and used Sprite Backup to restore my SMS messages. Everything works great. But...
Now I have on the Messaging Today Plugin an old e-mail account showing with unread messages. This e-mail account is not installed on either the Wizard or my desktop I used for syncing. I can highlight it on the Today Screen but when I click it doesn't go anywhere.
I've search entire registry and deleted all instances of the e-mail account and/or account name. I've even tried creating a new account with the same name (it doesn't let me as it says its a duplicate). Either way...everyting I tried has yet to solve it.
Anyone have a solution?
Thanks in advance.
When you don't have any precious mail in there, you can use for example SKTools 3's mail database cleanup utility to clean up these databases completely.
Menneisyys,
Thanks for getting back to me. I've tried what you have suggested. First backup the entire phone again. Then did the following:
1) Deleted all e-mail accounts in PIM
2) Deleted all registry entries with any information linked to e-mail account name or account's e-mail address
3) Ran SKTools' Messaging cleaner and deleted all files
4) Ran SKTools' Databases cleaner and emptied all fldr* files that aren't matched to SMS messages. I was unable to delete any of them. It would just say "1 process" but when it re-scans it will still show as 356 bytes.
5) Ran SKTools' Delete PIM info and emptied all MSG for all e-mail accounts. Once again I was unable to delete any of them. it would just reduce them to Zero bytes.
Any other suggestions?
Thanks in advance.

Probably not very helpful now but if they are POP email accounts you are supposed to delete them before the backup as they cannot be restored to a new ROM or Device.
Sometimes when i have to use SPB Backup it causes my PIM information on the Desktop to "double" its contents (eg. the numer of Contacts, Calender reminders are doubled).
In order to try and resolve this i thought to DELETE the PIM information on my PPC and just do a normal Sync with the Desktop. When i try to delete the pim.vol file on the PPC it wont let me saying "the source or destination file may be in use".
Does someone have any idea how this can be done easily??
Can someone also suggest to me how to delete double identical entries in my Contacts & Calender either on the PPC or Desktop or both??

To Delete PIM, just rename PIM to something else in 'my device'.
Soft reset - now there will be a new PIM created. You can now delete the one you renamed.

That is an interesting question. I searched for a solution for some days ago after I played with PIM-backup. I got tripple entries of all contacts and calender entries in Outlook.
The only solution I found was to delete all extra entries manually on PC :-(
If I remember correctly, there's an option in SKtols that allows you to delete duplicated stuff.
the source or destination file may be in use

I am curious if there is a way to delete all the calendar events easily in wm5? I do not wish to do a hard reset. I have deleted all my events in my outlook on my computer and then have tried syncing but it still does not remove anything.

Check your AS settings as the entries should be removed. All PIM Information is in one file. You could delete that but you will also lose contacts, tasks, etc.
Hi I what to get the same done, but.....
what are the AS settings and where can I find the PIM file?
Thanks

I was not in front of my PC when I suggested AS settings. In looking at the settings (Tools|Options|Calendar|Settings) you can only set the range to sync, not whether to delete. Assuming W5 (not sure about WM6 or WM2003) the file is pim.vol and is in the root directory of your PPC
To delete the notifications, use the tool found on this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=280104
Good luck!
hello,
I use labels on GMail, and when i receive my mails on my phone, WM creates the folder's labels, but they are empty, it only sync the inbox mails.
How can i resolve it?
Thank you
try menu --> tools --> manage folders then tick the folders which additionally you would like to sync. If like me you have stuff with labels automatically going into other folders,
Jeremy
Thank you Jeremy! =)
Was wondering about this myself. 1st link on google search.
Thanks!
This helped me alot too!
Mucho's Gracias
Things have changed in 6.5 - anyone know how to resolve this? The above navigation isn't on this version of Windows.
Need to get my sub folders sync'd to my mobile device.
Thanks for any help!
Still no help?
Quick question guys:
1. How do you setup the email client (yahoo for isntance, or google) in order to delete the files from the server too?
When I delete them, the HTC Sense email client moves the deleted emails to a folder named: Deleted Items. However, when I click on - Tools -Empty Deleted Items it doesn't delete the emails contained there on the server.
Many thanks for helping!
