I really appreciate the answers I have been getting to various questions, but, why do I always receive the 'notification' to my question twice in my inbox ?
do you have phone alarm installed by any chance? if you do, you will be getting a notification from both the system and also from Phone alarm. I had this happen to me and I just went into phone alarm and set the alarm sounds to <silent> and they stopped duplicating.
This is the case with Phone Alarm, it may also be the case with other 3rd party software, I just happen to use Phone Alarm.

Hi! I am using the 4.0 Biggy with Cube by ttran. Its great and I like it a lot the only weird thing I've had to deal with is that it seems like everytime I set an alarm it goes off, regardless of if it is the current one set, or if it is even set.
Example.
I set alarm 1 for 9am and then I change it to 10am. Then I change it to 8am. Then I change it to 9am. The alarm will go off at 8am, and then two alarms (it will give me two notices and I can hear my alarm ring tone echoing, meaning two tones are going off) and then the alarm will go off at 10am.
Even then this doesn't seem to happen consistently, but it happens enough to where its starting to be an inconvenience. This morning i had 3 alarms pop up at my normal alarm time, with 3 tones overlaying each other pretty much going off at approximately the same time.
Does anybody know what the issue is here, I know the Dash had certain alarm problems where it went off everyday at the same time but its not quite the same as mine.
Please advise, thanks!
winmo has always been slightly spotty when it came to alarms. i suggest a third party program
I've used Memmaid to delete duplicate notifications/alarms. I don't know what freeware is out there that can duplicate this function but I'm sure there is something.
Sometimes, my default android alarm just doesn't ring in the morning, even though i'm sure it is supposed to ring..
The screen just turns on at the alarm time, giving me an option of snooze or dismiss, but there is no sound or vibrate notification at all.
I've googled it up, and seems like a ton of ppl are having this issue.
Anyone here know a quick fix regarding this? thanks!

I found that the stock sounds were too short to wake me up so I downloaded a new clock app for free called digital clock. It has worked great for the last week I have been using it
change time zone
I have the same problem until i change the timezone to the correct one, then it worked for me.
I had this problem with my Rogers Magic also -
When you're inside the "choose an alarm sound" menu and scrolling through the list,
if you press the volume buttons on the side of the phone then you can manually adjust
the alarm sound (mine was set to 0). Not sure what causes it to set to zero,
presumably when you take the phone off silent mode it sometimes fails to update the
alarm as well? This still needs looking at because it means the alarm volume resets
to zero of its own accord, but it can at least be managed by manual readjustment.
Hope this helps!
P.S. It might also be worth noting that when I was having this problem, no
third-party alarm apps would play the stock alarm sounds either.

lol I had this problem way back in my g1 days. I've tried everything from not closing the app from not allowing the phone to sleep. It seems to work at
random. This bug never seems to have been addressed with any updates or in the roms. I just use my alarm clock, its a hell of a lot more reliable. If you travel just get one of those clam shell clocks like my dad uses haha.

That's it right there.
Has anyone had the problem where the alarm on the alarm clock rings a single time and them stops ringing?
I have the checkbox in the control panel checked for repeat sound yet it seems to have started only ringing once (which is really annoying if you're a heavy sleeper).
Any help would be appreciated.
Yeah, I have that too. The only thing I've found it to be sure your reminders are on and it will remind you in a few minutes that you missed your alarm. Unfortunately the reminder tone will play at the end of your alarm tone as well so I picked a reminder that sounds OK with my alarm....
Hopefully someone will have a better solution.
p.s. I've noted that if attached to external power the alarm will repeat but if not, it won't. Seems it sleeps right after the alarm if alarm sounds when screen is locked and won't wake to continue the alarm.....
I suspected it was a power saving method but it's a pretty lousy method if it breaks the primary usage.
I decided to install a 3rd party alarm clock called Klaxon. It's free and it works great.

I believe that its a highly personal thing. I've never had a problem with it and it has been waking me up every workday morning for months. Volume is fine for me, vibrate is fine for me, the duration of the alarm is fine for me (I know that some opeople have reported issues with this) and the snooze is fine for me, when I choose to use it. I suppose I'm easy to please I know that some people have issues with having to leave the phone switched on to be able to use the alarm (so they could potentially be woken by calls, texts, emails, internet feed updates etc, if they don't put the phone on silent or in airplane mode, or the battery could run flat overnight). I've only seen a Symbian S60 phone actually "turn itself on" to ring an alarm though).
Couple times in my case alarm didn't go off at all.
As I read somewhere in the forum, I disabled "notification sounds" (from BsB I believe) and it hasn't failed me once since then.
What I do not understand tho, is why the builtin alarm tones play only twice. Makes no sense.
Also, it's silly to have all the ringtones in \windows\, how messy can that folder get?
I'm not talking of being able to configure the folder myself, bu why not using \my documents\alarms or whatever?

well normal phones can do it too, and i think the volume of the alarm is pretty high, sometimes a i forget to turn down the volume, and it woke up the whole house
it's stupid because it doesn't ring for long enough.
I've tried the search option and I've seen other people with problems of G-Alarms and etc. I'm currently using the Window's Mobile Stock Alarm. It rings, but seems to have a delay in between each ring and doesn't ring indefinitely. It really fails as an alarm because it'll probably ring for about 3 short times before autosnooze kicks in. Anyone have an idea on how to fix this without having to goto another program that needs to disable TF3D?
