PIE problem...help appreciated - 8525, TyTN, MDA Vario II, JasJam General

hi guys. in the past when visiting modaco and xda-dev on my m3100 I used to get the 'lite' versions which formatted nicely into one column n stuff...I believe they must detect that I am using PIE and display the right version.
but lastnight I installed SKTools so I could clean up my notifications queue (had issues with some alarms).
since then...when visiting modaco and xda-dev I no longer get the lite versions...just the full blown site. It's not the end of the world but if anyone knows a fix to this I would be most grateful. I assume it is something to do with my browser identifying itself appropriately.
Any help will much appreciated.
Syphon.

Hi Syphon Filter!
The program must have changed PIE's user agent. You need to change it back. It can be done either with a demo version of the tweaks2k.net program or you can search for it in the registry.

Got My New HTC Touch Vogue

Alright people, I got my Vogue today off ebay, everything is all and well. I did the whole Clear Storage setting and now have a factory Vogue. Now I need yall's help, is there anything I need to do to make it better such as updating and if I need to get some programs and ect. I'm kinda new to this and not sure if there are any updates and such, So please help me :] It would be greatly appreciated. Also if possible please include a link where necessary.
Welcome to xda! You have the best device, in my opinion, for customizing/hacking.
Link for everything www.forum.xda-developers.com
Grab a 12-pack, and browse around, you will have a headache after seeing just a percentage of what you can do.
Thanks. Last night I was on the SprintUsers forum and saw how easy flashing the ROM to Rev A with GPS was and did it and well, I have GPS now haha. Is this like the only "official update" for the vogues? Also I use Sprint service.
Yeah, the WM v6.1 from HTC is the only official Sprint update for Vogue. But there are lots of custom ROMs available. Plus, there's a kitchen that allows you to cook up your own ROM. Check out PPC Geeks, where there's lots of action in their Vogue forum. Well, there used to be. It's still active, but taking a back seat to Diamond and Touch Pro. But Pro is not as small and lightweight and Diamond can't take microSD card, so Vogue's still #1 in my book. Here's a link:

Thanks. Are there any guides around here on changing the theme/shell or whatever it is called? Also I was in the theme/shell section in TheChampJT's sig and was wondering, do you need the certain programs that the shells are underneath?

how to application unlock (NOT SIM UNLOCK)

Hi there,
Changing from hp hx4700 to htc touch HD brought me a lot pleasure. However some applications fail after initial installation and normal usage for a few times. Then the icon gets lost and running the program gives a message telling me that there is no proper certificate. Now, after one day of searching I 've worked out that I need to unlock applications. (I don't need to sim-unlock; I bought it unlocked). I can't find any specific threads for the touch HD nor do I see others noticing this problem.
Do others have this problem and what to do about it ?
Your help is very much appreciated;
Thanks
Geert
Does sdkcerts.cab do this? Not sure if it is specific to certain software but I grabbed a version from the FInixNOver VGA Battery/Network Icons Maybe it is only to unlock that software but it may be along the lines of what you are looking for.
@nerdino
Thank you for your reply, I'll have a try

[Q] Customizing TF3D Clock Tap Behavior

Hey all,
Recently purchased a Touch Diamond and have been heavily modifying the software/rom over the past few days. I'd first like to thank everyone who has contributed! There is such much information out there that it's sometimes hard to disseminate it all for new users.
In any case I have done a lot of extensive searching for this question and I've found a possible solution but only leads to more questions for me. Here's my question, how can I customize the application which is launched when I tap the clock on the TF3D home screen?
Through searching I've found I might have been able to edit manila.xml (26948339_manila) but couldn't find anything specific to application launching in that file. I also found reference to using something called "SSMaP" but was unable to find any further information regarding this application via the forums of google.
Can anyone point me in the right direction?
Thanks,
-Mike

Don't know what search terms to use!

I'm looking for an app to turn the phone ringer on and off at specified times, something similar to TProfiler (which doesn't work on the Artemis). If it could also control wifi/bluetooth that'd be very useful too. But I don't know what to search for! I've tried 'phone profile', 'scheduler', 'radio manager', could somebody point me in the right direction, please?
whoops, hadn't read you thread beyond the first few words and recommended tprofiler. searched in the ppc freeware site the link is to under profile manager, found g-profile, which looks great for you. http://www.freewarepocketpc.net/ppc-download-g-profile.html in the comments tho some are saying that the new one's not freeware, so be sure to download the older version from somewhere
best of luck
Thank you, Reg66, for responding. I've downloaded G-Profile and am currently trying it out (14-day trial). It does what I wanted, pity about the cool black interface when I'm running bog-standard WM6 for everything else! I've tried custom black ROMs in the past but kept running out of storage space when using them. Plus, I don't want to brick my phone by being this week's Miss Unlucky. So, could anybody recommend a nice black interface that matches G-Profile, and also has a fairly small memory footprint, pretty please?

Omnia II freezing

Greetings,
New to the forum and from what I can tell there is a lot of great information to be had.
I have an issue I was hoping to get some direction on. Our co. just deployed about 10 new Omnia II's and half of them freeze up and the end user has no choice but to pop the battery out to continue.
I have used the search feature but I'm not finding any info. on this issue and how to resolve it. It could be out there and it's possible I'm not plugging in the correct wording.
Does anyone have any info. on this issue and how to resolve?
Thank you in advance.
if they are brandnew, then hard reset them. thats what I would do if it was mine.
yes a hard reset should fix it. Also note that you may want to install a custom rom to get more ram out of the device
hi guys,
I've got a similar problem with my device from the very beginning.
the hard reset is a solution but it's really annoying!!!!!
aspecially when my wife catches me doing that her smile in her face makes me sick..
(she uses the iphone 3gs)
So my device starts hanging after a period which changes between 1-3 months.
I could still not figure it out what happens. I've got the feeling that a service or a file causes to slow down the device extremely.
I tried to find out from the task manager to see which service takes the most resources.
but when the device slows down the task manager hangs aswell when trying to retrieve the information.
I'm using the taskmanager V2.8 from fdcsoft
for some reason I got the feeling it has to do with the messaging services. I've setup a pop3 account from my e-mail which I use frequently. using max 5kb for the attachements etc.
anybody who can share or got any idea about that?
which rom version are you using?
Try an upgrade...
One thing:
Just show your wife, how you remove your battery, how you plug in an Storage-card, how you do REAL multitasking, how you send EVERY FILE YOU WANT via Bluetoot, how you use your phone as USB-Stick, and MUCH MUCH MORE and smile back at her
Regards
Hi,
WM 6.5
PDA: I8000JUIK2
I've upgraded a couple of months ago just for that reason.
the upgrade was released in the Samsung Web site.
Thanks for the other suggestion
Your rom is 8Month old...
Update your phone. You can have WM6.5.3 if you like to! I really love the I8000NXXJEx Roms. There are WM6.5 and WM6.5.3 Roms available.
I´m using JE3 for at least 2months now(since it was released) and I´m absolutely fine with it!
But dump your own Rom before you upgrade...
If you need help just tell me.
Regards
I see,
could be helpful.
But I'm not sure whether I would loss my warranty.
Is that really possible? I mean dumping the ROM
for a long time I was just tracking local forums and so far I was not satisfied with the knowledge of the people.
Is there a way to returen to my org. ROM if I need. that means the local service will not realize that?
IT IS POSSIBLE! Its really easy!
I think in this thread you will find everything you need! If you don´t, PM me, and I will upload it for you, but its not my application so all credits go to somone else!
You get your original Rom als .nb0 file. Flash it back with octans and everything ist as it has been.
Another thing is: you can watch whether there are updated ROMs for your Country available(perhaps via NPS or Kies).
