Hi all,
I have MDA (XDA) from Austrian T-Mobile with ROM version 3.13.12 GER. I would like to unlock my device but I am not sure if this ROM-upgrade will work with my device. Can somebody give me a help?
There is no reason why it shouldnt work. Make sure you back your existing rom by sd method before proceeding.
You need to get XDA2Unlock, just go into the right forum.
But it's quite easy. I did a unlock real fast. took me a few minutes (it was brand new, so I didn;t need to make backups.)
Go to eh unlocking it forum

The best ROM for unlocking your MDA I is the english 3.17.03 SER (Special Edition ROM) which has the XDA-Unlock tool built-in.
Then i would recommend a cooked version of the German T-Mobile ROM 4.00.33 with some nice Tools already included...
If you can't find the ROMs, I can help you to find them ;-)

Hi to all,
I just noticed that a new rom for jasjar has been released.
I've a Vodafone 1640 and it is from my company.
I'd like to test the new rom on that, but I'd like to know if there is a way to restore the original vodafone rom, in case they want the pda back.
Do you know if thereis any problem to upgrate the V1640 rom with the latest downloadable from Imate ?

Hi guys
Just a quick question and I hope you guys can answer me.
I have got the MDA Vario with T-Mobile and have upgraded the ROM to 2.17.7.2 WWE (this is the Qtek Rom) and it works just great.
My question is, however, can I downgrade this ROM to the original T-Mobile ROM it came with?
I am wondering since I want to send the phone back to T-Mobile but am worried if they see I have upgraded it they will not take it back.
Please help.
Thanks kindly
You'll need to use lokiwiz to unlock the device and then reinstall the opriginal ROM. As you have an AKU2 ROM you'll need to downgrade the ROm first to an old custom QTEk ROM and then run lokiwiz to unlock then re-install the ROM. There s along post on this forum or the upgrade forum on how to do this. There are alos posts re putting the device back into it's original state if you need to ship it back to a vendor - can't find them just now but would suggest you trawl the forums... painful though it may be
Hey thanks loads. I have looked around to try and find how to restore everything but can't find it yet. I'll carry on looking but if you can suddenly remember where they are I'd appreciate it
Also, do I have to downgrade the QTek ROM first, or can I just install the T-Mobile ROM straight away?
Thanks again

Does it matter that the link above looks like it is for US? I have UK T-Mobile
DaveyG th solution is explained at http://forum.xda-developers.com/vie...IBwAAABi/2UG&bcsi_scan_filename=viewtopic.php
If you want a TMo UK ROM got ot the TMo UK Site http://t-mobile.iris-global.com/mdas.html
Thanks JoninLA, the phone is unlocked using Loki already as that is how I upgraded the ROM, but I will make sure I have unlocked it and then install the original ROM from the T-Mobile site.
Thanks so much again, now I should be able to send it back, providing it all works...
Hi guys,
im new to this forum, so hello to you all
I have worked my way through the WIKI (which is great btw) and before i go any further i have a couple of questions.
I have the UK t-mobile version, ROM Version 1.13.110.1 WWE, basically i would like an updated version (if there is one) with all of the HTC software - looking through the WM6 threads doesnt look like there will be a version avaible for this phone, so might as well get it upto date as possible!
I have downloaded
Dopod_P800W_1.25.709.104_CHT_Extrom.rar
HTC_P3300_1.12.405.101_WWE_ExtROM.zip
both are extended ROMs, - which is best? also - what is the difference between a ROM and extended ROM?
Thanks for your help guys

I would like to know in your opinion which one is the best ROM to put on the device in terms of stability, speed, battery, applications and so on...is there a clear winner in this respect or more then one ROM could be the good choise?
Which one do you recommend me?
Thank you for the help

Hello All,
im kinda new to ROM's so i need a piece of advice.
I have a dutch MDA Compact III (t-mobile), running WM5 with ROM version : 1.13.114.1 NLD.
my problem is i want to use internet sharing with my laptop, and if i am getting everything good this is not really possible unless i have WM6.
My question is, where and how can i flash the phone to WM6? - should i? is there something i have to pay more attention to? anything about unlocking? i've never done this before so its kinda tricky to me.
thnx for ur time
