Hi all,
I've been searching a while around Google and the Freeware sites, even on here but cannot find what I'm looking for. I can't even find a commercial version for that matter.
I'm looking for something that does for Free Minutes what GPRSMonitor does for GPRS connections.
I would like something that keeps track of my contracts monthly minutes that I use and will then reset itself at the beginning of each new month just as GPRSMonitor does. It would be nice if it then kept a track of charges after the free minutes are used but even the self resetting counter alone would be great.
I know I can reset the call counter on the phone but I often forget.
Does anyone have or know of anything like this?
Appreciate any help 'cos I'm fed up with searching anymore. Cheers.
I made a very simple mortscript to do something similar. It may be possible to change it so that it automatically resets the counters too. Have a look and see if it is of any use:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=43547&highlight=show+call+timers
or see my ppc page (sig) which has a copy of the script
Offbeatmammal wrote a more polished .net version of it too, can be found in the thread and theres a link on my page.
Thanks for that!

My \Windows\Temporary Internet Files is empty and when viewing a previously visited page it is reloaded from the net.
EzWAP is reloading from cache properly whats wrong with PIE?
Anyone else experiencing this?
Is there some setting I am missing?
Appreciate if anyone can enlighten.
Anyone?
I hate to pay $$$GPRS for pages ive already seen
:!: AH HA! I knew it  ....Just kidding I have no idea really
Try downloading this:
http://www.pocketgear.com/software_detail.asp?id=2724
The trial period will let you run the program 3 times try changing the location of your Temp Int Files. This should rewrite the registry in this department.
You will also need to download these files and install them first for this app to work with 2003:
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsmobile/resources/downloads/developer/evb.mspx
Let me know if this does not help. I find it very hard to believe that the service providers changing ROM images would do this just to run up your GPRS bill  .....or do I? I mean what are you going to do....it's like complaining to the hotel that the soaps you took home in your suitcase gave you a rash. I hope the service providers are using this forum as a cheep high-end and consumer test group learning from the posts, what tweaks need to be made to their ROM version to get it on the level with what the consumers are going to be expecting before they release it 8) this is the smartest use of such a resource. Plaguing it only hurt them in the long run and builds bad faith and dissatisfaction with a product before it ever goes to market Sure fire way to quash those future sales  they might be hoping for
Cheers,
Thanks erickbryce will try if all else failed.
Anyone else have this problem with 4.00.05 or its just me?
I may just try 4.00.10. A pity because everything else with this rom is just great.
Hi all! Been reading for for about a month. Sites saved my life about 5 times now, but have a few questions i couldn't find, so hoping someone could point me in the right direction!
I'm using a XDAiis. Less than a month old. Removed that o2 icon and stability is up 110%. I use the WiFi allot in my home, but as a Network engineer by trade, would like to see and perhaps change my Ip address and other settings and so forth. Is their any FREE 3rd party apps, or perhaps a Pocket PC Version on command prompt?
Also, i've seen a few people mentioning using active sync over the WiFi. couldn't find a thread explaining how to do this, as i can't seem to work it out :?: (Must be doing something wrong  )
And lastly, are their any sites where i can download dialer skins? As all i have at the moment is the o2 and Windows defaults.
Thanks in advance to anyone who read this!...

I'm having a strange problem with the cookies in PIE. They all disappear after a few minutes and I have to log in again. I'll try to give all necessary information:
i-mate JASJAM
Windows Mobile 6 Professional
ROM version: 3.30.2.1 WWE (by LVSW I believe)
I'm a fairly experienced WM user, so I tried most basic things like changing the cookies folder location, messing with the registry, insuring cookies are enabled (lol) and uninstalling certain programs. And of course I already tried searching and the Wiki.
Do I have to upgrade to another ROM? I like this one so much.
Thanks.
Oh come on people don't leave me like this.. I searched and only found posts with the same problem and yet no solutions were given. I looked it up in the Wiki and there's nothing. I consider this a serious problem since I use the internet alot using Webxcope.com (which relies on cookies to save the display settings).
Even if I was stupid enough to miss a solution in my search, give me the link!
Another thing: I see the files in the cookies folder, and they all disappear after a certain amount of time.
Patience my friend - maybe those on-line at present understand the problem but don't know the answer.
It is generally good practice to wait at least a day before bumping your thread
So consider this a free bump
Mike
It has been more than 24 hours, so this is a BUMP.
please post more info.
some cookies are designed to expire after a couple of mins. such as banking sites etc. for security reasons
What kind of more info do you need?
Anyway, ALL cookies are like this, including ones that didn't delete themselves after a few minutes on my good ol' Universal. Even Gmail and XDA-Developers cookies.
Hi,
Forgive me for posting something like this, I have actually searched but am unable to find anything.
The first thing I'm looking for is something which will perform an action when I'm in a specific location. For example, change to vibrate only when I'm at work or remind me to buy something when I walk past the supermarket. I used to have a similar application on my N95.
Also any other apps which are useful or you find cool and would recommend them, show me =].
Also I am looking for some good themes, there are loads of them on here and I don't really have the time to go through them all... are there any that anyone would recommend?
Finally I am currently on o2 pay and go. I am having trouble going on the net, I downloaded a Cab file off here to get the settings and it works fine for browsing but I can't do things like download weather data or use the youtube application. Any fixes?

I do alot of skinning but finally decided to jump in and try and actually create my own program, and i need a little help
Some of you may be familiar with trinket softwares "fake call." If not you can do a quick read up with this link.....
http://www.trinketsoftware.com/FakeCall/
I am in the middle of developing something similar but a freeware version (if you didn't know the software isn't freeware any longer) I had put a very basic but working program together in basic4ppc, i then found out i had to buy the software to compile the program. Since i already own visual studio 2008 i decided i would go ahead and try to rewrite my program in vs.
I have completed my design, but i need help with the code....
i need a help with-
"sound" - i obviously need to be able to play sound, i have looked in ms help in vs and they provide some keywords but i am getting errors when i debug.....
-how to load images from an xml file- (in need code for the call)
These will all get me rolling and allow me to release a beta......
I'm getting closer and closer
Because everyone has a different dialer or "incoming call screen," i have decided the best way to go about your fake call is to allow people to select a screen shot and a sound of their choice, creating a very customized realistic experience for every phone (as it would look just like the dialer on your phone) without having to input an obsessive amount of information. (caller name, picture, ect..)
thanks for your help in advanced
THANKS TO-
MRABIE

Wow, this is great. Ya, since fake call is no longer free this is a very amazing idea. I know a lot of people here will help you. We just have to wait. =)
Great idea, I downloaded that app a while ago when it was posted and was rather disappointed to find out it was fake freeware. A couple of suggestions, the aforementioned app would use the default ringer. The suggestion seems pretty simple from a logistics point of view but may be more difficult to program than I would imagine, when selecting a person with a ringer other than default associated use that one. Maybe have a call timer that will stay up and count until the end button is tapped. Hope this helps.
I didn't realize that the other software had gone commercial. Thanks for stepping up!!
bump............
What programming language are you using, considering Visual Studio supports several.
In vb.net your Wait method could be replaced by Sleep(milliseconds). Documentation. I am not sure, however, it this method is included in the compact framework, assuming that's the one you are using. Hope this helps somehow.
Full .Net documentation can be found here.
I am using .net but may consider rewriting again later after getting a release to rid the program of dependacy on the .net framework.
I Have updated the list, as i have gotten some stuff already figured out thanks to different people on the forums, THANK YOU
If you guys can help me out with this other stuff it would be greatly appreciated

UPDATE:
