I'm using Magic Button and it's realy great! There is just one thing I don't realy like about the programma and that's that it uses the "selection color" of the current theme as background color. It seems to me that way anyway.
Does anybody know how to adjust this?
I included two screenshots to show what I mean exactly:

I did contact the programmer so if he/she helpes me out I will let you people know!
I don't really have an answer and haven't seen what the result will be with other programs, but I found a set of tweaks at vicsoft (http://www.freewareppc.com/utilities/uitweaker.shtml). UITweaker Suite. Loading the system changer, you can then change the System bar active and sytem bar inactive colors. They will still have a slight fade, which you can see in the second image, but it's better than being bright blue, grey or red! Hope this helps. I just found this ap today, and haven't used it to finish modifiying the theme and the colors, but this is the closest I've gotten.
Thats why I remove MagicButton and install Vieka vBar.
Thanks for the tips! With vBar I still have the blue square on the right side.
I'm now checking out that UITweaker

Sounds like we have all been bouncing back and forth between vbar and magic button for hte same reasons!
I also managed to edit some bmps for use with vbar that allowed them to match my screen. I never got the size exactly right, as the button seemed to overlap the faded bar between the top bar and the today screen. But it is possible to do.
There are things i like about both aps. I like seeing the icons across the top in MB, but sometimes I like the list in Vbar. I guess there is still room for the perfect ap!
I'm currently using vBar with a black BMP at the background... ..the best solution so far.. ..still not perfect though
Hi deecee52
Could you please tell me which collors exactlu must be changed?
I Installed the UITweak 0.4 and I have 4 tools: PT Explorer, TdyScheme Changer, SysColor Changer and WM5Color Changer.
Where can I change the SystemBar color?
I attached a screenshot of my screen.
Thanks for your help
Are you guys using Magic Button 2.0? I tried three different themes and don't see any problems. I will have to try the black theme next.

I'm using pBar now. No problems so far and it's also freeware!
@Kelu
Open tDySchemeChanger -> Windows Mobile 5.0
Here you can set the color for the taskbar
This is the key that will change that color
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\GWE\SysColor\ COLOR_ACTIVECAPTION
for black 00 00 00 00 but it will be slightly gray for some reason.
see here http://www.codeproject.com/useritems/PPCColorConfig.asp
For some reason when Magic Button was written, they didn't u se transparent backgrouns behind the icons. Now this might've been a limitation to the system... But either way, TranaCreative software appears to have gone stale as it hasn't been updated in over a year. With out the source code for it, we're sort of up the perverbial brown creek.
This is a shame because Magic Button is the best at what it does and no other app comes close to matching or beating it's features.
The problem is, that Magic Button can´t show a black taskbar-backround. Diamond & Touch HD has a plain black taskbar under WM6 without 3d-effect, but Magic Button makes the backround of the icons and the closing-button grey with 3d-effect!
Is there a way with the registry to tell Magic Button making a BLACK backgroud?
nick
I took wkTask and it works perfectly - and with black backgorund.
I want not to say it, but: Its better than MagicButton!

So, I have been working to replace my splash screens and also come up with a different wallpaper for Slide2Unlock that matches the Touch interface (see below), but am slightly stumped on how to create a gradient background that doesn't appear pixelated once applied to my QVGA screen on the mogul.
Is there anyway to output in photoshop that conforms to the way a QVGA screen wants colors to appear? What's the secret? They look fine off the device and then look crappy on it. I've tried combination after combination of output and nothing works.
hi, i've been tinkering for some time on the gradient effect in my qvga screen and what i've come to notice was that though the gradient appears smooth on the pc, it appears to have wave gradient levels as the colors goes lighter. what i do is after applying the gradient in photoshop, put a little bit of noise filter (just level/amount "1" would do). it wouldn't look that great on the pc but looks better on the ppc than the previous one. i hope this helps.

So you add noise. Interesting thought. I will indeed give it a shot and see how it works. Any other ideas out there? There must be and official way as I have seen some really good looking gradients out there.
Sweet. It still took a little bit of playing to make it look right but the finished product is pretty darn nice

Actually, I did fix that late yesterday in the wallpapers included in the TSK (at least on my mogul). Download it again and see if it works now. If not please let me know and how much you need to logo raised and I'll make it so!
I also created a blue version to match the blue used in the media player etc. I'll upload that later today.

Launch UI Tweaker, and then launch the TdyScheme Changer.
Click Standard Colors.
Scroll down and select "Today Screen Horizontal Bar"
Click on the dark grey box above the text.
Change the RGB settings to 0,0,0
Click Ok
Click Ok again.
Exit and close UI Tweaker.
Bob's Your Uncle.
Note: the lines on the taskbar and the softkey bar may not change, they are (I think) part of the .tsk file and would have to be changed there.
Also, the gray lines in the HTC plugin are part of that plugin, not driven by the theme, so you'd have to edit the theme for that plugin, not the today settings.

Does anyone know how to change the .tsk file, with ThemeGenCE or another app?
Anybody?
Yes, ThemeGenCE can be used to remove crap like that...although I myself dont know how to do it...ahh, I miss the days of the fully changable Windows Mobile 5.0 homescreen...man, you could change ANYTHING about the GUI in WinMo 5!

Seems to me the only "easy" way to get rid of them is to make a background the same color as the lines (or vice versa), so they will be invisible, at least. That doesn't help you if you were planning on using a textured background, though, eh?
Actually, it looks like once you have a theme imported, you can uncheck the check-box next to "Today Screen horizontal bars" and that should remove them...I've frankly never had much luck with this program, however, so you're really the expert here.
...doesn't help the version I have is about eight iterations behind the current one, either...

No ! you can't get rid of these lines. It is Operating System (OS) dependent.
But you can attenuate them by choosing a color for these lines.
See my tutorial here : http://pagespro-orange.fr/BenThon/AnimeCoulEn/ImageCoulEn.htm

When I open my theme with ThemeGenCE the thin lines allready appear as black, but on my wizard they are gray....
Whit what color option can I make them black? I tried several, but with no luck.
I've made a transparant slider. (without icons on it)
transparant (Glass) Slider! (Thnx NisseDILLIGAF for this files.)
transparant Bottom bar
transparant b.g. bricks

}
zip files
I've also made a Digital (Sprint) Clock and a Analog Clock.
Clock and slider and lower icons seems less whitish, but hte TF3D big icons seem still white - not changed?
I think it might be easier to show pre and post difference (not only clock but "mensen" for example)
I did not change any icon on this theme. (so you can use your own)
I only have made a new slider, now it's fully transparant. It's not showing any icon on top of it. (only under)
And i've made the bottom bar and b.g bricks transparant. Thats all.
We always wanted to get rid of Diamond blackness and you are giving us a piece of black hole But it looks really great. Im considering downloading it. Much better would be to reverse the colors. White would be the base and then use some colors on the icons...
Hi pamas, could you you please tell me which files are just for the slider, I have been looking for that. Or could you even better just post a zip with only the transparent slider, thanks.

I recommend this slider
This slider looks great and works perfectly with my theme, I hated the old one it looks so ugly. So I thoroughly recommend this customisation to all. Thanks again pamas,
Your welcome. Thnx!
I've edited it a little bit. Moved the slider a few pixels down.
Ok will try the new one as well.
After installing the bottom bar and slider my htc is acting really strange. I have soft reset it three times. It doesnt allow me to type in my pin password and doesnt even load touchflo3d
Thx
The new slider works fine for me and looks great.
Removing them now my htc is back to normal!

Yeah, i dont like having the menu bar's i want to remove them but this seems to be the only way But doesnt work.
Great thanks
By any chance you could create a semi transparent (glass-like, doesnt need shades) bar?
just the bar, icons not needed.
Great, thanks

Same on this side, touchflo will not start anymore, after removing this it is back to normal. Hope there will be any solution.
By the way, the problem is couse the tranparant slider. The transparant bottembar is working fine.
Maybe some people are having manilla build issues I have 1.2.34837.3_1813.6 at the bottom of my settings tab and the slider is great for me. I have Dutty's 2.2 rom (great).
Just installed the transparent bottom bar .cab on my TouchPro to add to over a dozen other Manilla mods... works really well.....!
Thanks for sharing pamas.....
.
It's a beautiful work pamas!
Thanks!
But it doesn't work with call history tab (TF3D doesn't want to launch) and Black_HTC_ColourTabs (the standard tabs re-apear...)
Maybe you could make something?

How do I change this color? Everything else on my phone is black or grey and this is really out of place, and I really don't even know how it got changed to that color in the first place. I'm sure there is some sort of registry file to edit, but I have no clue which one it would be.
I'd like to know this one too. Would be nice if you could change it to something more colourful

Google is your friend. Base Hue has a particular meaning in WM5/6 and somehow you've changed it. When I've been messing with various bits of theme editing software, mine has changed to red on occasion.
You should notice that the separator next to the Start icon is also red, also the SIP button when pressed. All down to the Base Hue.

I did Google it and found out what Base Hue is, but see, I'm using UI Tweaker, and I changed things so my taskbar would be black and all that, and that is when I started to get the red color for the unlock background. As soon as I change the same setting, but on the grey scale, it makes the unlock background grey, but it also makes my taskbar grey as well. It's like when I change the system color the grey, its fine, but as soon as I change it to black, I get the red color on a few things.

Hello everyone,
I have some problems with manilla.
To make sure that you guys understand what I mean and how I want it I have some pictures
Here on picture one you can see how my manilla is after installing a hdwall cab file.

}
Now I am going to make the top and bottom bar transparent.
So I open the program called "Max TTM" and go towards the "wm6.5" section.
But without a default wallpaper set in manilla I can't make the bars transparent.
So I go towards my manilla settings and select a other wallpaper by using this setting:
After that I have selected the same wallpaper as I used for my cab file for the theme I go back to the Max TTM program.
I clicked on the convert button and the program start processing and reboots automatically.
After the reboot this is my result:
Looks good but once I go to my messages I get this strange effect:
Anyone who knows how to solve this?
Thanks a lot if you guys could help me and I wish all of you a merry Christmas.
EDIT
And I have to other things which I would like to be solved:
Here you can see that the bars stay transparent and that the middle gets black transparent...
Is their any way to include the bars into the black transparent section while sliding?
Or is their a way to make the black transparent into white transparent?
And when I click on start:
The middle is black and the bars are 100% white transparent.
Is their a way to make this black also 100% transparent?
I did find this thread:
But when I try to install it, it says install was unsuccessful.
Hope you guys can help me.
Search my friend. Use the link in my sign to search. I have seen a thread with the files you are looking for.
I will search one more time
Already did it yesterday from 10 pm until 3 am and wasn't able to find it
Oke I found this thread (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=587646&highlight=transparent )
about making the black transparent but it already is...
The only thing I would like to do is changing this black into white so invisible or to make the black take position over the whole screen.
Am I following your instructions correct or not
EDIT
Also found this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=546746
But this was about making the slider transparent and making the clock transparent.
EDIT
And as last I found this thread:

But I can't get the cab installed

It appears that when you make the top and bottom transparent, it is actually taking your image and "slicing" part of it to put as the background to make it "appear" transparent but it's really just a background image for the top and bottom. Kind of like cookie cutting the sections of the puzzle but leaving it together as the completed image...
When you go to another tab, maybe it's shifting the middle image. I think I saw this behavior in some ROMs I flashed before and I found a small executable running called posfix.exe or something to that affect and I figured it was for a "position" fix to address the different screen resolutions.
Keep in mind I could be totally wrong with both assumptions! I'm just a user!
Oké, thanks for your reply.
I found out that it does work in the wm6.5 default interface but that's because it does not have different tabs.
I also found out what the actual problem is
The cabs which are made by HDWALL have a resolution of 480x696.
That could mean that the other x104 is used for the bars.
And since HDWALL is resizing I suppose that I would have to cut the pictures on the top and on the bottom to make sure that they fit.
Resolution problems of bars solved!
Oke I solved the problem with the bars.
This is what I did:
- I converted the big picture into a 400x800 picture.
- HDWALL converted it into a picture of 400x696
- I selected in the settings menu of manilla my 400X800 wallpaper as default.
- I went to Max TTM and selected that the bars should be transparent on my default wallpaper.
Now I only have the problem of the black background and start menu left
Clock in Screenshots
Hi rick94
I'm sorry to be off topic but I was wondering if you had or knew the source of the transparent Sense 2.1 clock in your screenshots as separate installer and/or manila files.
Thanks
