My rom is the last WWE.

this usually happend when you close the messaging program before the message sent notification appears.
either remove that notification or wait for it to appear before closing the program.

No vibration or sound when receiving sms

I have done a search and could not find any answers.
While using the Palm Threaded SMS app on SPB Mobile Shell 2.1 my device stopped vibrating and sounding when receiving sms msgs (yes, I had it set to do so). The problem would be fixed on a soft reset but, I found myself soft reseting several times a day. I removed the Palm app to use the standard sms. After a few msgs the problem persisted. I then removed SPB Mobile Shell; again, the problem was fixed but, after a few msgs it started again. I then decided to hard reset in hopes to permenantly fix the problem. That worked for about half a day. I then figured that maybe if I hard reseted and reloaded the standard T-Mobile settings that somehow the sms problem would be fixed. Again, this worked for a cpl hours.
Has anyone had similar problems, or know how to fix it?
Please do not crosspost. I responded on the other thread.

SMS issue with updated rom 1.66 WHY??

Hi,
I updated my ROM as soon as it came out in January.
I have been using my HTC HD2 on and off over the last two months due to its niggles but thought I would give the phone one more chance.
To my dismay again - I having issues with sending and incoming text messages.
For example
There was about a 3 hour window today where I suspect I was not receiving any text or sending any.
I noticed this because I phoned vodafone to give me an automated SMS message to tell me how many mins I got left. But after 2 attempts and left it for 90 mins, no messages came through.
I also sent out a couple of texts but noticed the delivery reports were shown as not delivered. These were two several different people.
So I thought this must be my phone then.
I switched off my phone and back on again, voila the messages I had sent were delivered 30 secs after my phone was switched back on.
I phoned up Vodafone again to get automated text message - viola the sms came within 5 seconds.
Question
What cause the cessation of incoming and outgoing messages in that 3 hour window? Could an app/update running in the background could have caused this?
Is this a common issue even with the latest official ROM update? Is there a fix?
Please help as this issue along with short battery life is making me thing whether to get rid of phone.
But I also love the other features of the phone - for that reason I want this fundamental feature of sending/receiving SMS message to be resolved.
Thanks -rant over
that sounds just like the original sms problem.
did you use backup software when you upgraded? with the wrong settings, when you restore it can cause problems by writing back some old system files.
could be as easy as a hard reset.
no I did not use any backup software. literally just installed the new ROM and then had to install all my programs manually in again. any ideas? it does seem like the old sms issue as the problem is much less frequent but annoying nonetheless lol.

Sorry to hear all your disappointing references your having with your HD2.
I not long after getting myne when had rom 1.48 and now 1.66 never have had any SMS problems(although a fix was installed by HTC straight away apon purchase)
I then installed a app to disable Sence Sms (sorry cant find where i got it from) being processed by Sence as it created a few limitations i liked in windows sms .
Any way by shifting the total responsibility back to Windows Sms functionality > i have never to today experienced a single problem with stuck sms.
I hope this helps.
but my problem is very intermittent. could a program running in the background cause this issue
I have an O2 HD2 which came with ROM V1.43 i had no issues with sms. I installed the V1.66 ROM...still no issues! It may be something to do with your network? might be worth trying a different networks sim card to prove???
I thought the same but i have no issue with my old phone. strange huH?

SMS message lags

My touch cruise 09 gets a very annoying problem which is messega lag.
The SMS messages wont be received until I press the shutdown button to wake him up from "stand by" mode.
This happened occasionally, but, in the recently days, it happens more frequently.
I am using the orginal Firmware and room from manufacturer. Any one got the same problem with me ?
Every suggestions or helps are highly appreciated.

i had the same problem with my iolite, still do... i think it's because the sms storage in your iolite i getting nearly full (if that's possible) all i did was erase all my sent and draft items and it stopped lagging for a while.
then it started again so i did the same thing for the inbox and for some stupid reason the erased sms are still displayed in the main menu screen, but they're not threaded they look like a regular sms.. i just entered all messages>tools>clear SMS/MMS...
it got the lagging problem fixed but it kinda got stucked while erasing all data for about 14 minutes and i had to soft reset it.. when it went back on all my sms were gone except for this annoying NULL sms that kinda sorts all new received sms around disregarding the moment they were received.. so be careful with this last "clear SMS" option.

Re-sending messages on reboot?

So, I've got an annoying issue with my DHD at the moment and am curious to see if anyone else is having it (can't find any threads yet!).
It seem's like when I restart or power-cycle my phone it starts to re-send random SMS messages from either the same day or previous day.
For example, yesterday and today I have had to restart my phone and on both occasions it re-sent SMS to 3 of my contacts. Mind you these messages were sent successfully in the first place... I could understand if it was trying to re-send SMS's which didn't make it through.
Anyone else noticing this issue?
I have experienced this once.
Sent a message on Friday 5th to my wife. On Sat 6th my phone starts lagging horribly so I restart it and on reboot it sends that text to my wife again...rebooted several times after and it didn't send it again though...
I had this issue with my Desire HD, I used the 'transfer data' app to transfer old contacts and sms messages from my blackberry 8900 curve, and a couple of days later when I restarted my phone, it started sending old messages from my new phone, complete with replies!
Turning of the phone stopped it, but then it would do it again when I restarted the phone again.
3 - 400 sms message later, I deleted all old sms message from my phone, and since then it's not done it.
I put it down to the 'transfer data' app, had anyone else used this to transfer old messages?
Nope. I started from scratch with my messages.
Are you seeing your re-sent messages on the conversations?
I only saw a message that was firstly unsuccesfully sent re-sent on reboot one time, nothing else.
For me, it took the original message and moved it further down the conversation thread to when it resent. It was not duplicated.
