Reassign headphones button - 8125, K-JAM, P4300, MDA Vario General

Does anyone know how to assign a function in TCPMP to the headphones button?
I used to use it this way with Alpine and Himalaya and that was great for listening to the music.
Is there a registry hack for that?
Thx

MortPlayer and headset buttons

I installed MortPlayer on Trinity. The sound is much better than WMedia Player(MP has equalizer ), the screen turns completely off D ), the player is free... BUT I can only control volume from my Plantronics 590A buttons.
Do you know if there is any way to map the headset buttons to the player? In WMP I could use the headset buttons to play/pause, skip track and adjust volume.

Not the answer you are looking for but FYI you can turn the screen off with WMP too: you just need to map the "screen off" command to a hardware button.
Where do I find this 'screen off' command? It's not in the list of actions that I can map to a button. Did you map it on a Trinity?

Very good tip! Thanks!
PS: perhaps you can also tell me where the WMP equaliser is? That would be a nice suprise too.

1. there is no equalizer in WMP (see my latest article on Windows Mobile media players, also posted to the General forum in here)
2. Are you using the LATEST (last september) version of MP? It's only in it that AVRCP has been implemented. Earlier versions don't support AVRCP at all, as has also been pointed out in my AVRCP-related articles (General forum)
3. if you still can't make it work, some other alternate players do support AVRCP and have built-in equalizer. (see my Media Player roundups / articles.)

Listen to music with the sreen turned off?

Hi, I just bought a HTC P3600 (S300+) everything works fine so far. My question is: can it be possible to turn off the screen while windows media player is playing some mp3s, I’m kind of new with this device, I looked on the wmp options and at the system setting but I didn’t find anything, i thing it’s useless to have the screen turned on using the battery if you are listen some music and the device is in your pocket!
Cheers!
Just try another program like Mortplayer or GsPlayer. They all seem to support this feature...
You could use Xbar and assign turn off screen to a button.
Check this thread:

Great WMP tip!
Not many keys are available to be assigned (beside directional pad) but I just figured out I could use "HOLD down" and "HOLD up" as key assignments.
Maybe Im the only one to miss that !?
Yes! Thanks for your answers, i did the "hold down" tip, is great!
i also tryed the GsPlayer and Mortplayer, they work fine, the probleme is that i sync my music with wmp on my pc and all music is reencoded in .wma (it's not so bad i can save place when my mp3 are supirior to 160kbps) maby i try another way to sync so i can use GsPlayer cz it look fine.
well, thx again!
I use VJEschaton screenoff / screentoggle to switch off my screen when listening to Carla Bruni

Media Player Remote Control

Hi there,
does anyone know which program catches the events of clicking once or long for redial at a bluetooth headset or the headset delivered with the HTC Backstone?
What I'd like to achieve is a program that catches these events and redirects them if necessary. On the other hand the program should be able to catch new events.
For example a double-click. This event should then be routed to the media player and switch to the next track.
Is there already a solution available for this. If not I'll develop one - but the first thing to start with is to get the events.
Thx in Advance
Steve
I don't know if it helps, but I have a Sonyericsson K800i, and it has inbuild bluetooth remote control, I think it's because of the AVRCP profile tha the HD has, that can control the HD. I was able to control my HD, simulating the d-pad for example.
AE Button Plus ?
I tried to use this software but it's not able to capture the button press of my Headset.
Any other ideas?

Control the HD with the standard HTC Headset?

Here ist my Question:
Is it possible to control a MP3 Player with the standard Headset? For exmaple:
One tap on the little Button (on the micro): next song
Two taps: previous song
Holding button: Stop/start
What do you mean? perhaps with a little softwaretool or a good customizable MP3 player...
I had the same question. Can the standard headset be used for anythign other than hang up/ answer / redial? what about accessing voice command?

long press the button....but i never use this function.
No, cannot. You are much better off with a bluetooth remote/headset like this one, Jabra BT3030 at around 38€:

Added bonus for me: I have two mobiles, can connect both and take calls from both, while music holds.
Does anyone know if the W100 wired remote works on the HD?
Cheers

And will it work with windows mediaplayer and tcpmp, or does it only work with the player in tf3d?
I was very enthousiastic to get the RC 100 when I bought my HD at the store and I asked for the RC 100 but unfortunately the merchant tried it and it doesnt work, incompatible, this is really upseting that HTC could not THINK about working on a remote control for the HD, that would be really very useful to control music/calls without taking it out of your pocket...cause it is so huge ! anyway....we wait and see...for any new suggestion.
