Hello,
did anybody know the settings in TomTom GPS for the Navman 4100 / 4400 Bluetooth ?
The connection between XDA II and Navman works now with the widcomm Bluetooth Software. The Microsoft Bluetooth Stack did not bond the Navman.
But I don’t know the settings to receive a gps signal.
:?
im gona buy a xda 2. does it work with tomtom2 navigator?
Yes, it works with TomTom !!!
But the question is: does it works with your gps reciever?
Hi all!
I found a strange problem reguarding bluetooth software conflicts beetween Qtek2020's Microsoft Bluetooth Stack and the Widcomm 1.4.1 (BluetoothGPS.cab) Stack.
It means.
Without the Widcomm Stack installed I am able to syncronize via Bluetooth with ActiveSync (com6).
And I moreover can surf the web trough my Qtek GPRS connection via Bluetooth. And that's perfect.
But.
With the Widcomm Stack installed I am still able to syncronize via Bluetooth with ActiveSync (on com6) but I loose the bluetooth-modem capacity!
I own a Trust180 Bluetooth/USB adapter.
I need the Widcomm Stack only to use my Fortuna Clip-On GPS and I will not need it anymore if I could find the way to use it with Qtek-Microsoft Bluetooth Stack, but I have not found the way to do it yet.
So I think I could only surf the registry to find the answer to let both stacks work together, is it possible?
Did anybody have the same problem?
Did anybody find the answer?
Thanks in advance!
Giuseppe
Hi Giuseppe,
I have the same Fortuna Clip-on GPS receiver and I'm able to use it with the MS BT stack. It bonds and offers the option to set up a serial port. If you accept this, it allocates Com 5 to the GPS. I use Tomtom navigation software and in the software set it up as a NEMA 38400 baud connection using Com 5 - all works fine.

XDA 2i Widcomm and Fortuna
I'm having the same problem with a fortuna clip on bluetooth gps and an XDA2i--for some reason that build of the widcomm stack (3900) doesn't work, yet earlier versions, such as that shipped with the XDA2s, appear to work fine--does anyone know where to find a version of the widcomm bluetooth stack from broadcom newer than 3900?

Hi Paul,
thanks for your reply, I know my Clip-On should work together with every software for on road navigation...but...I unfortunately need OziExplorer for my off-road navigation and...OziExplorer need a com7 port.
That's all
I think I'll try Franson's tools: GPSGate & something else as I read here http://www.franson.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=17&SearchTerms=qtek,2020
I wouldn't like to hardreset my device again...I lost the number of my hardresets.
Thank you anywhere
Giuseppe
Hi giuseppe,I hate broadcom stack too, after many hresets, i thinks there is no way to solve this and other bugs, like the serial modem bluetooth connection.
The only winning move is to sell our 2020i and buy magician
Bye
Luca
Hi Luca, don't surrender, it can work!
I simply followed this http://franson.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=17&SearchTerms=qtek,2020 .
Now I am able to use my Fortuna GPS and my BT Motorola HS805 at the same time. And morover I am still using my Qtek's BT modem ability.
I payed 30 euros for Franson GPS Gate, but it solved my problems.
I am now trying to let ActiveSync work via Bluetooth because it's the only ability I lost. :?
Bye, thank You for your post,
Don't surrender!

Hy guys,
I have a QYEC WIZA 200 and I have installed a TTN 5.21 with WM5.
I have paired the GPS BT into the BT connection and put it on the COM6 with secure connection. It looks it is paired.
Once I go on the TTN menu I select other BT GPS then choice com6 but no connection. It looks that TTN5 doesn't see the GPS.
Any idea how to solve the problem ???
Many thanks
MIKA
TT5 and BT GPS
What's the name of your BT GPS - when it has been identified?
It MUST end in GPS...
Charlie Grillo
I use BT-GPS 338 with sirf star III. It is strange that the PDA but a question mark ? before the name of GPS BT. It is like it cannot understand what kind of device it is.
The GPS BT instruction says to set up the connection speed to 38400 but I do not know where to set up this.....
Thanks
I Have a Socket BT GPS. It works fine with Qtek 9090 with Broadcom BT managment and tomtom 5.21. With TyTN I can pair, I can see the service (Serial port), I can configure the serial COM. Tomtom can see the port (if I choose COM0, Tomtom see Com0, COM4...Com4.... etc). But Tomtom not communicate with the GPS... no GPS connection.
On Qtek 9090 I can "connect" manually and the blue light of GPS start to flash. With TyTN the light remain fixed... as no connection. But I can discover it, pair it...
Any Idea? Maybe no WM5 compatible?
Thnx, M.
