Recently flashed my O2 XDA-MiniS with MrClean_RUU_WIZARD_224a_AKU23_WWE
I installed the O2_contract settings from a K-JAM ExtRom
Everything is great - can use GPRS to sync with Exchange server etc... but cannot configure MMS. The forums have all the details - but say to goto Start Menu -> Messaging -> MMS, and then select Menu -> MMS COnfiguration
That doesn't exist on my device... how do I make it reappear?
Thanks
Matt
I haven't figured that out. But, for MMS configuration all I do is tools, then options, then MMS.. Not sure if it's the same configuration stuff though..
I do know that there are cab files that are supposed to re-enable it.
I don't have it on mine either... of course I installed the rom wtihout the EXT Rom. so that may have something to do with it.

I have posted this over at MoDaCo but i thought i would give it a go here as well.
I stupidly installed MS Global Contact Access (GCA) for PPC on my K-JAM to see if it would work (which it did) but it has caused other problems so i had to uninstall it. This is probably due to MS still not releasing a WM5 compatible version of GCA.
Now, when i open the messaging app and select "MMS Configuration" from the menu instead of the MMS Configuration screen it opens a New Meeting request.
Would anyone know how i can get my MMS config back without a hard reset? Is the setup for MMS in one of the cabs in the extended ROM or is it built into the main System ROM
Any suggestions?
Thanks
Chris
You can download a cab file from club imate for mms, sms settings.
If you know how to access your Ext ROM, you can have a look there and 'guess' the CAB that is resposible for the MMS settings. It should fix the problem.
is it possible to change my extened rom so my exec will install the o2 3g gprs settings and mms i have upgraded to the latest rom and have no mms now i have no idea what to do
same here, same problem, done lots of searches and installed the connections only cab file, and the contract cab file, afterwards it shows all the settings in the connections tab, but still no sign of MMS OPTION in the messages, only TEXT and E-MAIL options available
Hi folks,
I have recently removed all the o2 rubbish by doing a hard reset and then resetting before the rubbish is installed. I have sorted my GPS and MMS settings but I think the problem is that I do not have an MMS folder...
EG - if I go to an image and ask it to be sent by MMS then nothing happens - I am told I should have a similar setup to SMS - ie Inbox, Outbox, Sent etc - but these do not appear... Also, I have been sent vations MMS messages and they have never arrived.
Can anyone assist or do I really have to load the o2 crap?
Here you go: copy this to your My Documents folder on your Wizard, then tap it to install the fix. Worked perfectly for me.
Thanks
Worked wonders - cheers for that mate!
didnt work for me
suggestion
Use a registry editor (I like RegEditCE) to change the following keys:
HKLM/Software/Microsoft/Inbox/Svc/MMS/UserCannotCreate = 0
HKLM/Software/Microsoft/Inbox/Svc/MMS/UserCanCreate = 1
After this you should be able to go into Outlook and add an MMS account like any other email account. You will need to know the proper settings, though.
Worked for me.
I have the exact same problem as the original user. I am using the latest Qtek 9100 rom.
CAB doesn't work.
I tried the registry change you mentioned but it only allows me to add email addresses and not MMS folder.

Hi all,
I believe that the issue was something to do with either Sprite Backup (restore across ROM upgrade) or not allowing the extended ROM to fully install when I upgraded ROMS.
Anyways, I just did a hard reset, allowed the device to complete everything on its own and the MMS folder appeared and worked.
Thanks for all the help.
same here. i had to hard reset after a back operation just ***** my mda.
don't know why or how...it just did.
flashed a custom rom. going over the settings and even the registry settings everything looks good from what I've found so far.... but when i get an MMS i receive a notification , after which I attempt to download said file.... fail
over and over and over
using Laurentius26 rom
Make sure you're connecting your data through "epc.tmobile.com"
where does that setting entry reside?
Slider > Settings > Wireless Connections > Press on Data Connection > Manage existing Connections > Edit the one that's selected > Access point : epc.tmobile.com
ive looked through different threads and tried some of them but after booting to nand android i cantn send pics..i can recieve but not send...anybody else had this problem or know how to fix it?

===========================
This ROM was created on stock HTC Desire ROM base.
Main goals was to make ROM as close as possible to HTC Desire official stock rom.
i even copied what the thread said here http://http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=893948&highlight=problem+mms but it still didnt work
Hi,
You need to Google for your carriers APN settings and enter them correctly in Settings > Wireless and Networks > Mobile Networks > Access Point Names > Add New.
What you might want to try is following the above instruction but instead of delete the setting, press the menu button while in APN Settings and select reset defaults. then reselct your provider's setting from the list. You might need to toggle airplane mode on and off to re-establish a connection.
Depending on your carrier there are size limits to what you can send.
For instance, mine is 300kb on T-Mobile, you can adjust the size settings if you go into messaging, menu, settings, down to mms settings, try changing to 600 first, if not change to 300
(This is all dependant on you having the correct settings, if you do, try my advice)
thanks guys..i had to google my settings and found unlockr.com had them
thanks or all informations
