Hi There,
Is there a known way to backup your text messages.
Cheers
Use SMSBackup_PPC.cab which comes with the O2 Atom Exec. I use SP Studio which works also, but youi have to manually start the program with WM5 for PPC.

Hi folks, this is the 1st time I have tried this sites forum to help with my I-mate issues. I have had a Jam, K-Jam and Jas Jar in my possession for the last month trying to resolve the issue of filtering my contacts and sending a group sms to the selected category. U cannot select all the contacts on the K-jam & the Jas Jar in a selected category whilst in new
sms mode. I have found that u can filter the categories on the Jam in contacts then drag the stylus across all the names or use the keyboard and select ctrl a , press and hold until drop down menu appears then select text message option and all the names appear in the recipient "to" section of the new sms( happy days). I wish to use the K-Jam as my phone but it will not allow me to select a specific category and then select all contacts and sms them all at once. The fact that the Jam is running WM4.2 and the others are running WM5 can only suggest that they have made a wee mistake in leaving out the select all function, can u install WM4.2 OS onto the K-Jam?? Any help will be greatly appreciated as I have had little or no help anywhere else on the web or with my dealer
What is WM 4.2? Before WM5 was WM 2003SE
Sorry my mistake, Win mobile 2003 Version 4.21.1088. So can u install Win Mob 2003 on a K-Jam??
no you can't downgrade this device. And theres no WM2003 SE Rom available for it.
is there anyway you can change or upgrade wm2005 to allow the select all function either using the stylus or ctrl & a on the K-jam? thats is the only thing that is causing me my issues
Is there any way that you can export out the SMS messages as i have a new Windows Mobile phone and want all my old messages transfered off the old phone.
I'm going from an Orange SPV C500 to a T-Mobile MDA Vario.
Is this possible?

Jeyo Mobile companion. It is just awesome for this particular scenario !!!

I am looking for a SMS program that I can install on my XDA Exec. I want to be able type my text on the program, using bluetooth link the Exec to my T68i on a different contract with lots of bundled text add-on and send the text message. I have successfully done this using Infra-red, but can't lining up both devices and I am using mphone2.6
Thanks
Youlie
Use Simple SMS from Visual IT....
Thanks, I will give it a try.
Simply SMS crashed my XDA, I only later learned that it's not compactible withWM 5. Be warned, dont install it on XDA Exec.
Nothing works... I tried all the available SMS programs that connect the 9000 via Bluetooth to other phones but it refuses to connect. Only IrDA works...
The Esmertec Java (Jeodek Build 20060119) in my Atom does not support Java applications in sending SMS messages - despite setting the Esmertec Security Settings to allow the sending of SMS.
An SMS warning prompt (to which I responded to allow sending) as well as "Message Sent" Notification appeared, however no actual SMS was sent by the device.
Perhaps there is another paramater within the O2 Atom's Registry that I should set?
Would be grateful if anyone can lead me to the right solution, or to an alternative Java Virtual Machine.
PS. I noticed the same problems on the XDA Stealth and the Dopod 838Pro (MIDlet Manager.)
Hi,
Back when I had a SonyEricsson mobile I has an app for windows that could show my contacts from the phone on the pc. It could also show a popup whenever I received a new SMS and it was possible to send SMSs too.
