I use PPC6700 from Sprint with my country network.
But when I receive SMS it have phone number of sender but they say unknown sender too.
All have in my contact I don't known why and how can make they say name of sender.

I sent an SMS to a friend in my contacts. He said he never received it. And now I just received a phone call from someone who did receive it. He told me he keep getting them and wants it to stop.
So is there an issue with the SMS sender on this XDA. Most of my SMS go through no problem.

is this only sms messeges or does it happen if you call the contact aswell ?

Also I receive SMS from an estate agent for houses, which I have subscribed to, but the name of the sender is someone else from my contacts. Do you think the software needs updating.
well i had issues like that but it turned out that i was my mistake
when i typed in the contacts
if you can see both the contact name and the phone nr and see in your contacts that there are nowhere where you can see any connection between the two then maybe i've never heard about it before
also make sure you have choosen your country in localizing in settings

when someone sends me an SMS with no sender number (unknow sender number), is it possible to find out that number anyway? searching deep in the message system?

Is anyone facing same problem like me:
My Imagio can not display sender contact in SMS because I saved my contact with local number (09xxxx) but whenever I receive SMS, it automatically adds area code to the number (+849xxx) and can not display the sender name
I have already disable Assisted Dialing function.

Does any one have an Idea, as too, why all my incoming SMS are Unknown Sender, when in fact they are not unknown, they are in my contact list. Please note if I click on where is says "Unknown sender" which is a link by the way, I can then see who is sending the message. But the message comes in as Unknown Sender always.
Please help, I would like to correct this on my Phone Palm Treo Pro.

UPDATE: I notice today, that the real problem is that my outgoing SMS (Text Messages ) are being register as Incoming ( they stay in my INBOX ) and incoming enters as Unknown Sender.
I think, if some one knows how to work with Registries, you can help me, or if you can recommend a full Option program for SMS/MMS.

When i recieve a call, the contact ID it's perfectly normal, showing number + pic.
But, when i recieve a SMS, it comes with the DDD area, and the phone not showing the contact name, example
Bill Gates
Numer on contac: 99559955
SMS recieved from Bill - 01199559955
What i can make the id "Forget" the 011 area code and show SMS Id form contact?
