The 8125 comes with ClearVue PDF. I installed Adobe Reader 2.0
And I also installed Resco File Explorer to use in place of Explorer.
I installed Spb Pocket Plus to make my Today screen more useful.
I have my association for .pdf files set to Adobe, and when I click on a PDF file with Resco, it opens in Adobe. But when I create a link to a PDF file in a Spb PocketPlus Today Tab, it opens in ClearVue. Also when I click on a Folder shortcut in Pocket Plus it is opens with Explorer, while if possible I'd like it to use Resco.
Anyone know how to change the behavior of Pocket Plus in these situations?
Thanks,
Tref

hi every,
I have both Pocket Plus and Resco file Explorer, both APP provide a today plugin, however The pocket Plus Today doesn't show in the "today" but Resco show without problems, do anyone meet this ????

I strongly recommend going to just resco and maybe using magic button for the program manager. Resco has a lot more fetures then spb and it seams to use less resources.
Thats my 2 cents, Later; Lew
Since I want to control the Windows Media Player in the Today Screen while SPB can but Resco, any plugin for Resco can do that ? Thanks

Hi,
does anybody know how do I play (on xda mini s):
1) .gif files
and
2) .swf files
thanks
2. http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer_pocketpc/downloads/player.html
1. i duuno? sorry
hi
for swf, install flash player, and it wont automatically be associated with .sef files, you need to use either Resco explorer or smart explorer to associate .swf files with flash player.
for .gif:
maybe TCPMP will play it (i am not sure) but Resco photo viewer is cute
MOhammad
Resco Photo Viewer plays animated GIF's
You might also check out DAVA Picture Viewer v2.05 this program is freeware
XnView should also meet your requirments, concerning picture viewing

So does anyone know how to make gifs get opened by this MMS player?
bump for any more suggestions
After making core player my default player, I can longer use mp3s as ringtones. Problem is I cant seem to make the windows media player the default again.
This link http://www.futurehardware.in/568121.htm discusses the same issue and suggests that only a hard restore will fix it.
Surely I can make windows media the default player again without resorting to a hard reset.
Can anyone help with this please?
Cheers, Dean
Anyone out there that can help??
You need to try opening a fully functioned File Explorer (Resco File Explorer or Total Commander), seeking an mp3 file, then Tap/Holding its entry. This should bring up a context menu, which includes Open With..; If you select 'Open With..' you should get a list of applications, which should include WMP, and there is a checkbox at the bottom of the screen to 'Always use this program'
Resco is available as a trial, and Total Commander is free.

Thanks for the reply. I've tried this with total commander but only get "open" instead of "open with". When I then select open, I recieve the following message:
"There is no application associated with filename. Run the application first, then open this file from within the application"
So I do that but still have the problem - its like wmp wont associate with any files.
Any suggestions on this? Would resco explorer be any different?
Thanks, Dean
It is worth downloading Resco and trying it- the trial is free so nothing to lose.
It could be that Core Player has corrupted the whole file association system, in which case a hard reset may be needed, but I've not come across that before.
Have you tied reinstalling Core Player and starting again, then uninstalling again?
