Wizard as a PC microphone ? - 8125, K-JAM, P4300, MDA Vario General

Hi,
I am wondering if there is a way to use my device as a kind of hand-free for my computer ? The bluetooth services only shows "Dial-up networking", but maybe I have missed the software which allows to do this.
Thank you !

Get incomming call alert on your Desktop PC:?:

Does Anyone know if there is a program that will alert the Desktop PC when a call is incomming? Trough WIFI or Bluetooth.
So that a warning is displayed on the Desktop PC with Caller ID and Photo.
I know this program exists for MacOSx, but is there a program available for Windows (XP)!
Let us Know!
Panda Titanium 2006 (Antivirus + Antispyware) has a limited such function for wi-fi but not for bluetooth. For Bluetooth, if you set it up requesting confirmation , and to connect to paired devices only, you are set to work with your own devices only. If you set it as discoverable, and to request confirmation (code), then it will notify you of a device requesting access.
I do not know what you mean.
Do you mean that there's a feature in this program that wil let you recieve incomming call information (like phone number) on Windows OS, trough wifi?
Remote Display Control
Remote Display Control
It's form MS and it's free
You can Manage the PDA from the PC
Yes I know that program, still not the one i'm looking for.
Hope someone can do a app for that. Should be awesome to see either on your computer screen or the tv.
good idea anyhow
Yeah it is possible, the Jabra company did it, the caller id is send to the bluetooth device, so why not to a Desktop PC...
No one??
I accidentally did somethign similar to what you are looking for, I paired my Universal to the PC and selected the PC as a handsfree device. When I got a call, a tooltip window popped up in the system tray, but even if I answered from the phone, I could not hear anything, all audio was going through the PC. Something to experiment on
I'll try that!... in the mean time, no one else with ideas?

activesync via bluetooth

hey all, i'm having some difficulties getting my jam to sync with active sync! both laptop and jam have bluetooth and can see each other but the problem is everytime i click sync via bluetooth my jam does nothing!
i've download both bluetooth patches on this foru and neither have helped?!
can anyone help or at least tell me where im going wrong
thanks in advance!
You should try downloading Pocket bluetooth Tools version 1.0.1.2.
Install this program on your jam. After that you should see to it that the comport active sync wants to use is free (set the port in active sync/connection settings). Remove all pairs. Pair again using your jam to find the laptop. After filling in the passwords for pairing a screen should pop up on your jam with a few profiles, there you should select Active Sync, and it will work hopefully. It is possible that I have made a mistake since it has been a long time since I've done this. Goodluck!
If you don't explain the actions you have taken in your attempts to sync your
device via bluetooth, only a psychic wil be able to tell you where you went wrong.
But have a look at the following link, it might be of help to you since the Active sync BT settings are everything but intuitive:

I found 'bluetooth com port' in this forum & it helps in doing Sync via BT. Do a search. I'll suggest you to read the manual. if you don't have 1 search in www.seeo2.com or from your phone manufacturer site. I'll read the FAQ or Knowledge base before seeking for help in the event i don't understand the 'manual/FAQ'

Bluetooth on-demand

I was wondering whether there is a utility somewhere which can be used to switch on bluetooth when a call is received, pair the headset with the Universal and switch bluetooth back off when the call is finished.
Leaving the PDA with Bluetooth constantly on is draining my battery too quickly.
Is this possible at all and if so, has someone created a tool to do it?
Pocketzenphone is your answer. See various postings on this site. This software is a must for anyone with a Phone edition pocket pc.
This option didn't work on my jasjar.
OzBT does work!!!
Instead use a Motorolla Head set
Tailazoom is right - a most important feature of this program does not work on the jasjar :x . I contacted Zendrui perhaps he can come up with some sort of fix. Also for some reason I cannot even uninstall the program using the Remove Programs facility.

Using an android device as a blutetooth "headset"

Hi!
I have a question regarding android devices in general. The main question is if this idea is possible with the right app or if you need special hardware?
I want to develop an app that let's you use any android device as a bluetooth headset connected to a cellphone. The setup is primarily for a car installation but other uses are also possible. This is how I want it to work:
I install an Android MID in my car and connect it to the stereo using a cable or bluetooth (depending on whats possible) to get the sound from the mid to the cars speakers. On this MID I'll have google maps and Spotify (or pandora) for navigation and music. So far this is nothing special, but I also want to be able to answer and make calls from a connected (bluetooth) phone (like on many dedicated gps).
By doing this I want the driver (any driver) to be able pair his/her phone with the MID. The calls to the connected phone will be displayed on the MID so their phones can stay in their pockets.
1. Is it possible to answer a telephone call to a cellphone by using an "answer" button on a bluetooth connected android device? Example "My Desire is connected by bluetooth to the android MID. When an external call is made to the Desire I can anser it from the MID".
2. If the answer to no 1 is Yes, is it at the same time possible to share internet via the same bluetooth connection?
Anyone have any idea if this is possible with the right app or if it need special hardware?
Sorry for bad english and long question..

With the right app, sure. Not sure if you can do it over bluetooth tho, maybe get a SIM for the MID and have your phone forward calls to it while your in the car. But i bet someone could figure out the bluetooth thing.
First of all, there is a problem connecting to the phone wifi due to it being an "ad -hoc" network. But the phone through the tablet is a great idea and some of us are working with such a prototype called "FLEX" it will be a small unlocked cell phone device that connects via BT to the tablet and handles the phone function for the tablet as you have described. Send me a pm if you would like more info.

I know he is talking about Bluetooth... but he also mentioned wanting to connect to 3g of the phone for data I believe.
I've actually had this idea as well! I don't know much about bluetooth programming, but there should be some way to spoof the phone bluetooth device ID or whatever to make the other device believe it's talking to a bt headset. I'm going to guess it might require root.
If you do decide to start coding something like this, let me know how i can help (ie, testing).
cheers,

Thanks for all the answers. I don't think I'm able to program this myself but was interested in if the concept was possible. If it is I sure hope someone creates it. I would pay good money for a solution like that and I think others would to.
If you come across more information regarding projects in this area please let me know.
Thanks again.

E430 - BT problem with handsfree

Hi,
I connect my phone with two hands-free devices in my and my wifes car, but often it doesn't connect automatically. When I connect then the phone via BT-settings then it connect without problems.
Now I found out that - when I change the car just the first time I have to connect by hand, next time it works automatically. So it seems that the phone tries to connect automatically only with the last used device. A bit annoying.
So my questions:
Can anybody confirm this behavior ? It is normal ?
Is it LG specific problem, or maybe only my phone ?
Or is it a general Android problem?
Thanks for your answers - regards
Odiad
