I have to take the battery out for it to start going down slowly, but then i don't really know how acurate it is after that.
Is there a way of resetting the battery status ?

Its a known bug with the wizards - just keep the soft resets down to a minimum, seems to be no other way.

Battery Indicator always at 90%

Hi,
On my Orange SPV M3100 the main battery power indicator is always showing 90%
Is there any way to calibrate this?
Thanks
BK
Why do you want to change it if you never lose charge
i have the same problem with my P525. It keeps showing 92%.
Anyone can help?
I got the same problem before, it's not a disfunction of your PDA Phone, it's the battery problem.
Buy the new one's and your battery indicator will work normally.
lol. isnt it wonderfull that ur battery will never discharge, so u can use it forever XD

Battery status invisible?

Hi,
I have an Imate JAM, it does now show battery status. When I go to Settings -> Power, it shows 0% and with it, it says 'Unknown.'
What to do?
It does charge, but doesn't show charging status.
have you tried a hard reset ?
Yes, I have tried hard reset. It used to happen occasionally. The phone does charge. I know it because if I don't charge, it just shuts down to let me know that the battery is fully empty now. This error occasionally gets fixed. It does sometime start showing the battery status, but then again goes back to the problematic condition.
Try using other battery meters like "Ariel battery meter" see what they indicate.

do u live in a city where temperatures are near zero? this could be one reason.
or
backup ur data on storage card, flash rom 1.12.00 and see if anything happens.
or
if ur device still works perfectly with this problem, ur magician is having a hard time determining the amount of battery remaining...can still contuniue with it.

Battery percentage does not tally with the status bar's icon

what i mean is, i'll see the battery logo up on the status bar at 75% (3/4 bar) and think that i have ~75% amount of battery usage left.
i'll then check the battery numbers in the settings and my battery is at ~40% lol.
well i'm running a jm5 stock rom, rooted. anyone having that issue?
i'll try to run the battery low till it offs and monitor the values again.
Jup, I also noticed this, but no biggie, I think this is Android standard.
Definitely NOT defective IMHO.
If you feel frustrated by this use this little app: Battery Indicator
ye i'm using that, i was just wondering which numbers are at fault there. lol. oh well. such paradox in my status bar. thanks for the quick reply.

The way I believe it works, and I might have the percentages slightly wrong is, especially the way they get rounded:
Actual/Graph
>79%/100%
50-79%/75%
25-49%/50%
>25%/25%
So, yes, you are always getting a readout that isn't very telling and is a step-gradual reading. The time you have the most information is right around, if/when you see a change. Other than that it can be barely more telling than a sundial .
Wrong info is in the notification bar (graphic battery). I've noticed the change upgrading to JM5 from JG5. Downgrading back to JG5 reverses the situation, which means the change is in framework-res.apk.
It is a change Samsung obviously did on purpose, but I wouldn't know why they settled for the worse...

it's not weird...it usual..because they need a lot battery to start up, and it's normal to have 98%..mine too also like that..it's depend on ur background apps too..
