First of all let me say what a site. Ive been reading through a few posts and the level of knowledge here is unsurpassed :!:
I have a Microsoft E200 mobile, some of you may also own one, but really I was wondering whether or not I actually need to get an XDAII :?: I like the idea of having a PocketPC but for those of you who know, is it really worth having an E200 aswell as an XDAII :?: Obviously I'd be able to sync between the two which is a nice thought but really, what are the advantages of having one of these in comparison to just a Smartphone :?:
If anyone can direct me to the cheapest place for one, I'd be grateful. Orange will be releasing the M1000 soon (XDAII) but Im not keen in staying with them.
Thanks again,
spacecowboy
Hi can anyone tell me Is the M1000 a Himalayan ? or Andes ?
mine was originally on Orange however i upgraded to wm 2005, (wished I hadnt) I am going to go back to a basic 2003se rom will the XDA II be ok ? :?:
WM5 on the M1000 is awesome! Why would you ever want to go back?!
WM5 on SPV M1000
Tried also WM5 on mij SPV M1000. Looked excellent, but.... had great difficulties in connecting my Rikaline BT GPS. Finally I gave up and went back to WM2003SE again. Hope for future improvements so I can upgrade tp WM5 again.
By the way: many thanks to all the people that invest susch a great deal of their time in making the pograms available for digibetes like ME!
And: Enjoy the holidays, and all the best wishes for 2006!
SPV M1000
SPV M1000 = Himalaya. I've just used the Magic Code and it unlocked it perfectly - though I'm still left with some apparently unremovable Orange files.
maybe shortcuts to them are located in
windows\startup
unwanted Orange Files
Rudegar - you're awesome! I found the unwanted files, as you said, in Widows/Start Menu and Settings. Thanks! Stephen.
Hey all,
I just got myself a second hand SPV M1000 with Windows Mobile 2003SE.
This forum seems to have such a massive range of knowledgable people!
I have a few basic questions I hope someone can answer...
I would like to find a WIFI card that will work if possible? SANDISK? Which part number?
Will Windows Mobile 2005 work on the M1000? Is it worth the upgrade?
How does one go about upgrading? Im a computer geek, but dont have much experience when it comes to PDAs....
Sorry for the noobie questions, but searching for this just seems to bring up heaps and its impossible to find the answers I'm looking for.
MAny thanks, and I'm sure I'll be a frequent visitor to these forums!
David

Hi all, I have been browsing your site for the last couple of days, learning a bit more about the Exec and the various accessories and software.
I wonder if you could be so kind to point me in the right direction as per the following:
Will my Jabra BT250 work or do I need an upgrade
I am running TT5 on my XDA2i with a Leadtek bluetooth gps - will I need to upgrade the software to TT5.21 and will the Leadtek work. I've read that there is a nack to installing the software/hardward, so any help there would be appreciated.
Should I run the corporate install, then just add what I want (I have no love for O2Active)?
What software should I add I am currently running TCPMP for media stuff and a mate has suggested OzVGA :?
I have seen mixed views on the board regarding incar holders ie the TomTom powered speaker option (landscape only) or the Brodit (active or passive :?)
I'll add further queries as I think of them
Oh btw I am expecting the delivery of an o2 XDA Exec any day
and the virtual beers are on me
I have been told that the M5000 is not supported by tom tom. i have a mate though that says he know a few people that have managed to get it working on their SPV m5000 or XDA Exec's. Can anyone help - it was a big reason for moving from blackberry and I'm gutted I didn't go for the M2000 instead for that reason (even though I would loose the wireless ability).
you nead v5.21. I have it running on my m5000.
you have to install each cab file inturn.
see here for full details of install
