A couple BT Headset Questions... - 8125, K-JAM, P4300, MDA Vario General

i jus recently bought a motorola Hs850 bt headset and was wondering the following questions:
1. how do u adjust the bt headset overall volume with registry tweaks or whatever?
2. how do u listen to music through this headset?
3. i dont quite understand ad2p or whatever. i know it allows stereo bt headset compatibility but ioono specifically what it is?
oh and btw i have the 2.24 rom for tmobile that xcillon posted i think.

I have the same questions i am currently using Faria AKU3.3 and with my HS850 the Stereo option is greyed out

How do I listen to Mp3's from my bluetooth headset?

Dear All,
I've been searching to find a solution to this for 2 weeks now, there are some posts i have read whole forum almost, nothing seems to work.
I think it has nothing to do with what kind of bluetooth headset you have, there should be a program which should transfer audio from sound card of the Mda to the integrated phone inside this device.
Could someone describe how can we achieve this? It is very convenient to listen to audiobooks (if you think why would someone need mono listening)
I'm also willing to pay for this help.
Greetings,

my config: MDA (Dutch) wMobileSE 2.06 4.21.1088 with Jabra BT250
i tried to install widcomm, but it doesn't work.
Unfortunately we were the recipients of a beautiful piece of hardware that was released with a "non standard" bluetooth implementation. I have read peoples claims that this is possible, but, I am yet to experience a working solution.

Hi!
Widcomm does not support bluetooth headset at the moment although the headset can be paired with your PPC ie. no sound recieved from your headset.
One way out is to listen MP3 from your PC/laptop which is possible through your headset, however, you'll have to get thre right dongle.
As for listening MP3 from my O2 XDA II through my iPHONO bluetooth headphone I had Widcomm + the High Quality Audio Profile installed. The sound was crappy with occasional split second interruption to the sound playback.
So much so for the current bluetooth technology for listening to MP3 playback on my O2 XDA II
how did you install widcomm and deactivated ms stack?
plus, iphono thingie has no microphone, hence i'll have to have two bluetooth headsets... not convenient...
thanks,
RE
Well, if you make a search for Widcomm there're many threads on this subject.
Read all of them and you'll be able to find your answers
Even the new Broadcom stack Build 3500 for XDA IIs does not support the mp3 playback on BT headsets.
The unofficial upgrade which adds hi quality BT headset profile, I still doubt it can do it coz the Audio Gateway preference is not listed. Damn

I had install the Widcomm BT stack, it is not working. There was no sound in the bt earpiece (mine is HBH-65) although it was paired with xdaII. The worst is it mess up the function for normal phone talking. I can listern the voice from caller but they cannot listern to my voice during phone call.
the xdaII can't get back to normal until a hard reset. Would you please tell me how to get the earpiece work ?
Hi,
the unofficial upgrade is working, I just got a pair of HP headphones, it's awesome. Just be sure your headphones support A2DP, regular headsets won't do it.

Nice one Mp3's over blue tooth. Any chance of a simple walk through on how to do it and the files needed?

HP BT stereo headphones with XDAII

Does anyone tried to connect the XDAII with the new HP BT stereo heaphones with XDAII?
I have this HP device but can not install it.
Bummer..
Widcomm BT Stack on XDAII...
HP BT stereo headphones does work with XDAII (myself and few friends have been using it for a while now). You will need to install Widcomm BT stack (1.0.0.3500 or 1.5.0.2000, or the one that have High Quality Audio Profile) though.
However, you will loose Bluetooth Headset profile if you install Widcomm BT Stack. Apparently BT headset does not work with Widcomm stack on XDAII yet. I've managed to get the headset detects incoming calls, take calls, but still no sound coming out from the headset yet. Still trying...
Interesting. Will check it out and reply.
This is my experience using a HP bluetooth stereo headphone bonded with an O2 xdaII. I use Wincom 1.5 Build 2000 from "dtktvu". So far the setup has worked very well. After having used the setup for three weeks, my impression is as follows:
1. Connection with headset is very stable
2. Stereo sound is clear, quality is quite superb really.
3. So far this setup works only for music, it does not work together with bluetooth headsets (if you happen to have one). This means that you can not use your headset at all while using the headphone.
4. The only inconvenience is that if there is an incoming call during song playback, the music pauses but there is not any other audio warning. On the screen you do get a warning that there is an incoming call, though. So in my case, while I listen to music, if I hear a sudden pause then I know that there is an incoming call and act accordingly. Now, let us come to the next point....
5. You have to use Windows Media Player as the player for point 4 to happen. I am not sure how the setup will react to incoming calls with other players such as Winamp, GS Player etc..
6. Battery life is quite good. I get about 6-7 hours of playtime from the headphone.
Now, if only someone will update this Wincom Driver further so that it can work together with bluetooth headsets, then we will have the best of both worlds... Maybe donations from potential users to provide incentive to some expert out there.

I would also like to use the HP bluetooth headset. I have a XDA II (not IIs). Will the Widdcom stack install on this? I am currently not running Windows Mobile SE.
Many thanks.

Try MS VoiceCommand - in new 1.5 version there is incoming call voice notyfication (normal ring goes at half of the sound level and voice engine reads callers ID) maybe it will go through UR headset.

Thanks for the pointer, didn't work though.
Would welcome any other ideas.
Will this work on XdA2JoJo.v3.2zS version that has broadcom 3900? I'm planning in getting one.
Need advise...

HP BT stereo headphones with XDAIIi
Hi,
I've read the thread but cannot see any indication of someone using an XDA IIi and the HP BT stereo headphones. Anyone know anything about this particular combination? So far I know the software that comes with the HP BT stereo headphones will not install on the XDA. And without the BT high quality audio profile installed I cannot get past pairing the devices. Any ideas?
Thanks,
R

I am using this combination.
I have HP iPaq BT stereo headset and O2 XDA IIi.
Just did the following.
0 Full backup!
1 Uninstall a GPS software that was using BT Serial Port (GPS tuner, OziExplorer, Russa)
2 Uninstall BT Tools
3 Remove all paired devices
4 Soft reset
6 Install Attached file (warning: with this patch you will not be able to use a HandsFree BT, so if you do not really mind, then continue).
7 Soft Reset
8 In BT manager Find HP Headphones and pair them with password "0000"
9 Start Player and press a cental button on headphones.
10 Then I installed back GPS software and BT Tools.
11 Check thet everithing works fine, make a full backup.

headsets
I have three stereo bluetooth headsets here for testing purposes:
- Logitech Wireless Bluetooth MP3 Headphones for PC (aka Hewlett Packard FA303 or Toshiba PA1831)
- Motorola HT820
- iTech Blueband
I have tested them on my Qtek 9090 (BlueAngel) and they all worked fine. There is not much diffrence in audi quality, the diffrence is more in the comfort of wearing them. Most of my collegues liked the Motorola the most but I prefer the Logitech. The iTech feels a little bit cheap...
More experience and info about stereo bluetooth headset is posted on http://www.robertwebbe.nl/A2DP.html.
Has anyone connected headphones with XDAII? i can't at all( after installing broadcom 1.5 phone cannot call correctly, i can't hear anything(
I have a iMate PDA2k EVDO & iTech BlueBAND headpones. I was able to use use the BT headset to use the phone however as the Broadcom 3500 stack didn't come with a Audio profile I couldn't hear music (mp3s via WM10). I installed Broadcom 3900 stack - can now hear stereo music but the volume on the phone is so low I can bearly hear it. Otherwise my PDA is stock standard Windows 2003 WWE etc. Any suggests? As I am a new owner, I would appreciate the help. Cheers,
Hi
I have recently received a Blue Angel from our mobile provider and it comes with the Bradcom stack 1.0.0.3900.
Does it have A2DP integrated, or I need to install anything to make it compatible? I am interested on a Motorola HT820 headset and i want to make sure it will be compatible...
Broadcom Bluetooth stack for Benq P50

Atom's Bluetooth Functionalities

I have upgraded my ROM to the latest official one, but still I can't make my ITech's PowBOX bluetooth HeadSet to work as Wireless Stereo. It only works as Hands Free. I tried my HeadSet on Nokia and did works as headset flawlessly. I also cannot activate my voice speed dial via bluetooth on my Atom. The bluetooth button just activate redialling last called number. Is there anything I need to configure to make this work? Please help. Thank you.
Anyone, please?
I use the iTech S35 and STEREO works like a charm with the Atom. I get stereo mp3 and movies. The handsfree works too although the voice dial doesn't cos the long press to activate the voice dial uses the button to turn the iTech on and off so u will end up turning the iTech off.
not heard of the iTech powBOX so dun know how it compares but I assume it should work too.
i think it used to work in older ROM version... could it be the new ROM?
I use Samsung Bluetooth SBH100 as a stereo headset with Atom (latest ROM) - got no problems. Headset's remote control buttons for audio player works too. Short press of Phone button make a redial. 4 sec press should activate voice dail (on 'supported devices'), but make nothing (common problem).
can the SBH100 play radio?

Don't think so as Atom requires the ear piece to be plugin as antenna...
I am using Bluetake Iphono BT stereo headset on Atom. It can listen to the music and act as handsfree for calls seperately but couldn't do both at the same time, the headset will switch off whenever there is incoming call while playing music, i guess there's some problem on switching btw.
Anyone got the same problem??
can't listen to music but can make calls
Hi,
I'm kind of new here, as I just bought a used atom from that e*** auction site. it works great, except i can't get my bluetooth headset to work as a headphone while listening to podcast, mp3's, etc. using my BT headset to make calls works fine. I have both a Jabra BT130 and BT350 and both have this problem. is it the headset? if so, is there a list somewhere that lists what BT headset is compatible? i really need it to work as I cannot stand using wired headsets since by the time i untangle those wires, I'm out of time already...
thanks a lot!
It's the New Rom..(i think)

Cyberon Voice command with Bluetooth in HP6315 and 6515

Hi ,
I know many guys are intesting use VC through bluetooth headset. I found that it can be done in HP6315. Original there is only hands-free/Headset profile for bluetoothn in 6315, the Widcomm BT version is 1.0.0build 3701, the all sounds is from phone to BT headset, the VC dial can be down through BT headset. But the MP3 quality is very poor.
I just upgrade the Widcomm driver to 1.6.0.700, there have another "High quality Audio"profile, so you can use stero BT headset to listen MP3. The quality is good. So if we use SE HBH-ds970 BT headst, we can listen good MP3 and also can dial the number through VC use HBH-ds970. It is very convenience to get both function. When you launch VC, the phone will connect BT handset, the sound is transfer to headset, you can say the number or others instruction by BT headset, when you finish it, the connection between 6315 and BT headset will automatic be active. It will not lost the battery of headset.
Here the question is I 'd like do it in 6515 since I need the mini keyboard and GPS function. 6515 already have "High quality Audio" and "Handsfree/Headset" profile, you can listen good quality music and also can call/answer the calling through BT headset. But it can not use VC, the VC sound is always from phone.
I check the Reg file of them, its are almost same. Unfortunately, I do not have knowledge of Reg file and widcomm stack, can some expert can help me on this?
Thanks in advance!
Regards,
lxy
Could someone share the latest BT drivers for 6515e?
Hi,
I wonder if I could find a good voice dialing software for my iPAQ. Could you please help?
Also, does anyone know the latest BT version post the 1.21 rom?
Thanks and kind regards,
Prankey

Bluetooth Handfree Issue

Hi Everybody,
I am using the X01HT which running with
Rom : 2.05.255.1
Radio Ver. 1.34.00.10
The problem is my friend said that my speech sound very poor (the background sound very strong )
when my phone is connected with the BT Handfree.
Just wanna know how the chase the problem is from my handfree or my phone.
furthermore, Is it possible to check my handfree is running real A2DP (Stereo sound )
my Handfree info: http://www.itechdynamic.com/en/products_spec.asp?cid=2&pid=02050
sorry for my poor english
Your english is fine
This not an area I know much about but the following may be of use:

Try using search as there are several posts on this kind of problem.
Mike
You can check A2DP by playing a song that is in stereo. Anything with an obvious sound in the right channel will do, as if A2DP is not working it will only be playing in mono.
Also, the little icon in the taksbar will show a headset with a music note inside of it if A2DP is working.
The sound problems you mention are probably due to the quality of the headset. Try it on another phone or try a different headset on your phone.
I am using the same ROM and radio and my BT works great. (AKU 3.3)
I use both the Nokia HS-12W and a HTC BHS 100.
A2DP will give true stereo in WMP10. Strange I found the Registry still set to mono, so I had to change that for stereo.
The call quality both incomming and outgoing is great with these headsets as well.
The HTC also allows you to use your favourite earphones as well.(3.5mm jack)
Hope this assists.
Thanks
Thanks all first.
Yesterday, I did some stupid test about the voice quality,
I used the recording function in Note to record my own sound near the TV in my home, and found it was not bad.
However, then I went out use the BT headset again, but my friend said, dont use it again, my sound really poor
After that, I bought a BT dongle to try to test my BT headwith in my computer, but the Dongle comes with the bad BT management Driver, called XTNDCoonect Blue Manager.
Do you all have the widcomm software and send it to me ?
I dont know it is against the policy in the forum.
