8125 Email notification options wanted - 8125, K-JAM, P4300, MDA Vario General

So here are my needs/wants. I am looking for some piece of software or Outlook Mobile add-on I guess....your ideas and thoughts would be helpful.
I would like to be able to assign a different ring (notification) to a certain mail from address....I need just one but of course having an option for more would be cool. With assign rings tones I have this option on the phone part....having it for emails would be very cool. Here is an example of what I am talking about...
What I am thinking is I could have a cracking whip sound when I recieve an email from my girlfriend [email protected] and I would like to get a chash register sound everytime I recieve an order from my webstore from [email protected] even better I could have some really loud notification when someone mailed a certain to address....say supp[email protected] or a different sound when something came from [email protected]
It would be cool if you could assign it like the ring tone in my contact just like assigning a ringtone to a contact....
Anyone know of something like this?

Nothing? No one has heard of anything like this?

Is there a way to assign ringtones based on category?

Is there a way to assign ringtones based on category with the HTC Wizard (IE: Friends get ring1, family gets ring2, business gets ring3, etc.)? I have found a way to assign the ringtone for each specific contact, but that can be a pain when you have a large number of contacts.
Thanks in advance,
You can do that with Photo Contact Pro!
I don't think it is possible in default WM5
Doesn't mortring do that, free?

How did you do that?
shdwphnx, How did you assign ringtones by contacts?
Thanks

Edit your contact, and scroll down about 75% of the screen - there is a Ringtone option there. At least there is on my US T-Mobile MDA.
BTW, which field is used in Outlook for Ringtone? Perhaps it would be easier to assign the ringtone on PC and then sync it?

I just found Mortring, and it is unfortunately currently not compatible with WM5.

As far as I have been able to determine, the Ringtone field is not transferred to Outlook on the PC.
Hopefully Mort will update his program, or someone else will release something similar for a reasonable price. (I found a few such as Photo Contacts Pro, but they all have lots of features I don't need, and am not willing to pay for).
There is a nice app that does excactly that, i've tried it out on my k-jam and worked very well, assigning ringtones to groups and even sms tones to groups or individual contacts and still keeping the default sms notification tone!
However (there always are howevers)
Before installing the app, when i would receive an incoming call and just wanted to silence the ringer, not reject the call i'd simply slide the volume button up or down and the ring would stop.
After installing it i could no longer silence a call by the volume button, therefore my only options where to answer it or reject it.
I contacted their support team and was told that it's not possible to silence the ringer as the app's ringer is controlled by the system volume, not the phone volume..
If you're quite happy not having the option to silence the ringer of an incoming call, then i recommend trying this app.
Product Name: Ringo Mobile WM5 (by Electric Pocket) .

Notification volume.

The company I work for is about to replace all of our REM pagers with wizards. I have yet to get one but was talking to my boss about them today. She said that most of the people that have them are complaining about the volume of email notifications. From reading other post it looks like there is a problem with Pocket Outlook not giving a notification if it's open. Is this true? If so is there a work around? Also, is there anyway to increase the volume of the incoming email notification besides the obvious adjustments?
Any info would be appreciated.
Bump the it is.

hi y'all not really new here but don't post much. i have a favour i would like to ask anyone that knows how to create application. i would like to know if there is anyonw out there that could create a application that could handle ringtones. this application i would like to be able to assign ring tones for an individual but a shorter version of that same ring tone plays for the person if they send u a text or mms message. right now we know text uses the tone you choose for everyone but i would like a application that would individualize it...if it all makes sense
i would make a nice donation to anyone that could create it

ok lets see
i have a ringtone for individuals in my phonebook and would like the same ringtone i use for phone calls to be used text messages, a shorten version or or even a separate song for the text. i just hate i can't tell who is texting me because of the one general ringtone. the phone calls don't need to have a limit but the text messages could be limietd to 5-10 seconds of music playing. if possible maybe work in a photocontact in it at the same time something that uses the whole screen. just a nice all in one app to make settin up ringtone and picture for that one person much easier
i wwill try out the ringo and see

SMS tone while on the phone

I don't know If i'm going deaf or what but I don't ever hear any kind of notification tone when I get a sms message while I'm on the phone. Any ideas? I hope there is and I didn't activate it or anything, cause my wizard did.

The tone while on a call for sms, email, or any kind of alert is what I missed the most from my WINMO phones. Also the ability to make different kind of occurance on my calendar. Android doesnt let you create your own pattern.

Different custom notification tones for each thing?

Okay I have searched and found some good info on getting custom tones for notifications and such. However I would like to know if theres a way to have my email notification tone seperate from all the rest of the notifications. I know using ringo pro I can have my text msg notification tone seperate. But I do not like it when I hook my phone to my computer it gives me the same tone as my email one. I currently have it set to the "you've got mail" and its annoying to hear it with updates, hooking to computer, and such. If this has already been answered please supply me with a link and I apologize for not looking harder.
Open your gmail app. Press menu and select settings. Should be in there. Same with txt messages
Wow do I feel like a moron. I even knew that option was there too. Just completely overlooked it for no reason at all. Well thanks for pointing out stupidity at its best. Seriously though thanks ubernicholi
no problem, i didnt know that was there for a while either
Hey thanks for something so simple, I didn't even know that haha
