Where can i find more dialer skins for the Universal? ones which also allow to search contacts via the keypad.
Me too, I had the o2 ROM but now using Qtek
I was very pleased using the O2 phone that allows you to access the contacts from the phone keypad (like a normal phone) - the Qtek ROm does not have this, can anyone suggest anything (not re-installing the O2 ROM !!).
its a cab file in the extended rom on some versions.

Guys I install the 1.72 rom from the iMate site. (official release)
When a call comes in normally you see the number and when it's a contact you'll see the name (company name, etc)
but after upgrading to the new rom when someone calls I only see the number but after a few seconds delay I will see the name (company name etc)..
Does someone have the same problem?

I think I noticed the same thing in here.
I had the same problem with 1.66WWE at times.
Try making sure you don't use an app. to close open programs (i.e Battery Pack/Pocket Plus), I found that helped - maybe something is getting relaunched and causing the delay (IA Caller ID?)?

I am using the new ROM 1.72 (and SPB Pocket Plus) and do not have this problem. The number AND name pop up almost instantaneously.
I actually meant, if you use PocketPlus, try to configure it not to close IA_CallerID, but I don't think it happens on 1.72 (on 1.66WWE PocketPlus could close CallerID).

Hi folks, this is the 1st time I have tried this sites forum to help with my I-mate issues. I have had a Jam, K-Jam and Jas Jar in my possession for the last month trying to resolve the issue of filtering my contacts and sending a group sms to the selected category. U cannot select all the contacts on the K-jam & the Jas Jar in a selected category whilst in new
sms mode. I have found that u can filter the categories on the Jam in contacts then drag the stylus across all the names or use the keyboard and select ctrl a , press and hold until drop down menu appears then select text message option and all the names appear in the recipient "to" section of the new sms( happy days). I wish to use the K-Jam as my phone but it will not allow me to select a specific category and then select all contacts and sms them all at once. The fact that the Jam is running WM4.2 and the others are running WM5 can only suggest that they have made a wee mistake in leaving out the select all function, can u install WM4.2 OS onto the K-Jam?? Any help will be greatly appreciated as I have had little or no help anywhere else on the web or with my dealer

no you can't downgrade this device. And theres no WM2003 SE Rom available for it.
is there anyway you can change or upgrade wm2005 to allow the select all function either using the stylus or ctrl & a on the K-jam? thats is the only thing that is causing me my issues :roll:

Also, the program seems rather poor, I cannot select a contact and some of the screen graphics are offset.
Is there a way to configure manually & use a newer version of theMMS app?

i have a question regarding the Dialer Skin.
I installed the WM6 Black V2 without any problems but to enable my push-mail function to the company server i have to install a autorun file what is customized for my PDA. My PDA was vodafone branded. The problem now is that the autorun also changed some settings in the dialer skin and now i have my old vodafone back without any video call button.
Does anybody know how i can get back the dialer skin from the WM6 Black Edition. (running the autorun on the extended rom again didnt work)

dude the ext_rom installed the vodafone branded crap assuming you would use it. Best thing to do now (unfortunatly) is to hard reset, DONT run the autorun thing as to enable push mail just enter the settings manually. What is your servers push email feature anyway?? Is it a 3rd party app or does it run through activesync and your GPRS connection?? (like mail2web or exchange)???
Sorry but i need to run the autorun.
The problem is that i get some other security **** enabled and without this push is not working.
Before i had the latest HTC Firmware and after installing the push mail from my company i just started the autorun on the extended rom again and everything was fine.
I tried the same with the black v2 but it dosent work.
in one of the cooked ROM, i saw there is a 3rd party or latest SMS messenger, where all sms from a person is grouped into one big sms.
Does anyone know what is the version or software name and version?
and is there any .cab around? (i searched in the forums but cuoldn't find)

This is threaded sms, this is also in standard in wm 6.1. There are also programs around on the board, just do a search.
