I am not sure if this is anything to do with the lastest T-Mobile ROM, but i dont remember having this problem before...
Basically poutlooks seem to download email messages i have downloaded before. Usually just ones from the same day. It's a pain in the ring. I remember having this problem a few months back with Outlook on my PC, so it could be gmail.
Anyone else had simular experiences?
gmail's pop support is squirrelly in a number of ways, that being one. I could never get it to work like every other pop mail service on the planet and said screw 'em. Being popular doesn't mean it doesn't suck, it's not outlook, it's gmail.
I had troubles with POP3 Gmail as well, I concur. I have no troubles with Yahoo POP3 access to PPC.
Is Yahoo pop3 free?
yahoo's pop mail is *not* free. not sure why anyone would want to pay for it though. unless it actualy works, which i hear it doesn't.
gmail is definitely messed up. messages always disappear form my inbox. i tried forwarding to hotmail, but it doesn't seem to update evry 15 minutes or even offer you the option to that i can find.
anyone know of a funtional, free pop service compatible with the outlook mobile?

If you goto Yahoo UK, it is free - you just have a @yahoo.co.uk address
yahoo.com is not free: $19 USD a year , ak Yahoo Plus.
yahoo.co.nz or yahoo.co.au is FREE
Dunno why ?
UPDATE : POP3 yahoo with the above only allows downloading to PPC email account. Not sending. As far as I can tell.

I'd like to know if I can add another hotmail account alongside the one that is automatically configured by Pocket MSN.
Is this possible?
Thanks
Anyone?
because you don't get enough spam in the first folder??
I guess u can if u go through the manual set up process, and not the msn one. I have set up a few (e.g dial up,yahoo, hotmail) so more than 1 hotmail should be possible
I have multiple hotmail accounts in Pocket outlook, but I use izymail to access them as pop accounts. It cost $20/yr or something like that. Pretty reliable service but I'm sure there are others that are probably cheaper. I've been using izymail for approx 2 yrs with no major issues.
You can switch hotmail acounts, it has "Switch User" option in Pocket MSN
I managed to get 2 hotmail set up on mine though it weas by accident and I was trying to get rid of the other one. I set up my 1st account in msn. installed windows live messenger beta, then set up the second account in that. in outlook I ended up with 1 account labelled hotmail and another labelled windows live. both worked.

www.fusemail.com
Using this service, you can 'fuse' all your hotmail/msn accounts together and collect them via imap in the built in email client.
costs around £1.60 every 3 months
I may be a little behind but found Mobipush.com and liked it but wanted to see what everyone else was using. you set up 5 email addresses and it pushes to your outlook folder (it wont save sent emails on the ppc though, wierd). How does everyone else use email? push email? I have an aol, yahoo and a work email address (wish i used my gmail more).
for mobipush, can you reply to from the original email addresses?
most people use a free exchange account with mail2web.
There's many other "free" push solutions, but most of them require additional software (which no one likes doing). Haven't heard of mobipush.
sorry to sound dumb...free exchange account? that means its their email address or i can still use mine? The MobiPush account i use my email account
push account
It requires software, but emoze is free and nice.
i tried them all, and the best one i think is mail2web. i foward all my mail to my mail2web account. I pay 5 dollars a month to have all the sent mail with my main email address. it links to the server so all my contacts and calendar and email are synced. Which is great so when I flash my phone (which I do often) i get all my emails and contacts through syncing back to my mail2web account.
if anyone has a better setup please let us know

How about a solution that keeps $5 a month, back into your pocket!
Guys nothings better than this:

You'll agree after you set it up....Plus it doesn't use ActiveSync so your saving your battery too, it pushes in the same manner Windows Live mobile does.

Seven does have one that does but what I posted is Email Push only and it'll notify similar to Windows Live Mobile Hotmail.
As for AOL, try it, its listed in the app.... Nothing is better than hands on right?
I use it for my GMail & Yahoo! accounts...

Yes you can
So my sister has the 6700 and set up the "outlook" email to have push email with gmail. I went to set it up and it asks for the email address....then the username/password and the Domain (any ideas on what that means?), then next and it searches, and asks for the server address (any ideas here?). She said she set her's up with the pop3 address outgoing/ingoing...it never asks for that...
Ive used mail2web and I hate not being able to repsond with my gmail account unless i pay $5 a month. WHat i do now, is setup gmail to forward all my email to [email protected]. This setp is perfect for me; it basically becomes a notifier for you to check your gmail (so of course i have setup to check email manually). Works great and saves batteries as you can read alot of emails right off the text message
Do mobipush support HMTL Email ? Seven does but can't download attachments for some reason.

I am almost sure that it does. I just dont use it b/c yahoo wont let me without paying i think
Try this one. You have to download their software but it doeesn't put much of hit on your phone. http://www.funambol.com/
I installed my own exchange server cuz mail2web wasn't workin' for me as I have my own custom domain... They make you pay if you want to change your reply-to address.
Windows Server 2008 + Exchange 2007 is VERY slick if u can run into the licenses... I do feel a lil geeky installing enterprise software for 1 mailbox tho? lol. The web mail is awesome too lol. and not to mention using regular outlook... having everything linked together is sweeeeeet... open outlook on laptop ... add a contact or make a change and seconds later look at my pda and it's already sync'd... slick!
I really could NOT be happier having exchange sync on my device... it makes ALL the difference in email and contact sync... I lost my contacts so many times from hard resets and syncs between computers messing up... exchange is DEF the way to go for the all-around best experience.
Dont forget Windows Live push Email
Windows Live mobile services does free push email on Hotmail, MSN, Live, and OfficeLive email for free... even on free accounts.
Or forward you existing mail to a free Hotmail, MSN, Live, and OfficeLive email account.
I made a quick video on how to do it here.. no hacking necessary.

No simple task... you need Windows Server (2003 or 2008) with lots of roles installed before you can install Exchange. And I wanted to go with the new Exchange 2007 which requires a x64 operating system as well.
Exchange isn't really meant for personal use.. it's a business/enterprise server installation... I just didn't wanna pay the $5-10/month for exchange hosting from someone else so I setup my own... Microsoft really needs to release some kind of a "personal" exchange server or something because it really stinks all these windows mobile peeps can't have exchange functionality without paying for a service
My push mail from Hotmail seems to be moving very slow lately and it is very anoying. Things like this make me miss my blackberry. I deal with alot of email a day and I need my emails to come to me quickly. I noticed when I installed the hotmail account the windows direct push icon can't be selected like when I had my @live.com email address. I dropped live because it decided to lock me out and not let me back in. Does anyone have any sugestions? I also don't want to deal with getting emails through another server.
THANKS
-Jim
I noticed that using Windows Live as its good times and bad times. Sometimes emails seem to come instantly and sometimes they seem delayed.
I know you said you prefer not to use a different server, but I must say, if you're willing to pay, then an Exchange server is the best.
If don't mind an @mail2web.com email address, you can set that up for free, but it won't be HTML.
If you have your own domain you can pay for a business account for about $20/month (including taxes). This allows you to use your own domain name, plus it uses Exchange 2007 so it offers HTML email. You can also sync your contacts, tasks, and calendar.
Another option is to use the Sprint Email app. I used that for a while and it seemed pretty fast too.
Now that I have that Exchange server, I can't see myself going back to anything else.
I just wanted to add that I think an Exchange Server will give you the closest thing to a Blackberry experience on Windows Mobile. Some people even say its better than Blackberry.
I am in no way affliated with them, but if you have your own domain to use for hosting, I love Sherweb; they're only about $8/month for hosted Exchange 2007. However, you're not going to be able to use your hotmail/live.com email address on a hosted Exchange server, since Hotmail won't auto-forward and you can't setup a reply-to address on the Exchanger server end (workarounds are possible, but messy).
I'd rather try to setup my sprint mail. if I add another twenty bucks on my bill I will be back up to black berry prices. how would I setup my sprint mail for push? when I setup the mail it asks me for how often to check for messages. the hotmail lets me select as items come. sprint does not seem to have an automatic email retrieve option unless I am doing something wrong?

You wouldn't actually be setting up your Sprint email account, but the Sprint Email program that should be in your Start > Programs menu. It should walk you through all of the steps to push your hotmail/live account.
Now for the stupid question. I reinstalled my hotmail email using the sprint email application and I have two hotmail email icons now. Is there anyway to remove the old one with out hard reseting and doing it all over again? Also would you know how to setup another email account with the sprint email option or is it just a one time thing?
THANKS!
I don't even rely on Windows Live Push email anymore.
I use mail2web , check out mail2web.com
They offer free exchange server push so you can just forward your mail to that address.
Check them out its the best.

I hear you, I just find it frustrating to have to do all of this in order to have push mail. Something that is available but it seems to be a broken system.....thanks Microsoft
Try this...I found it at our friends ppcgeeks. http://community.seven.com/forum/main.php
Quite a few ppl from ova there use it. I've been using it about a week now and it works pretty good. Even has a home tab to let you know its connected and pushing. The longest an email has taken was 10 min and the shortest about 1 min. Its better than outlook logging on and syncing process and it is full HTML support. It also can have upto i think 5 dif emails
Push
Another option for email is www.mobipush.com
Is it possible to change the function of the Send / Receive button (on the e-mail manila tab) so that it synchronises ALL of the e-mail accounts you have on your phone?
Bump for help. Surely this should be possible. It is pretty pointless to have to select each mailbox and press Send/Receive for each one
I was thinking this too, I would love a button that synced both my accounts. Surely for someone that knows what they are doing this would be quite easy?

Also interested. Anyone?
Isn't syncing emails a bit old fashion?
I find the battery on the HD is fine to use push email (constant connection) so you get your emails immediately.
I use www.seven.com (their beta program which is free)
This converts any imap, pop3, gmail, works exchange server (emails, contacts, calendar), etc email into push email.

How do you find this with data costs etc. Do you ever go above your monthly limit etc?
Don't really need any new solutions. Personally giving my details to a third party so they can send me the emails as I receive them doesn't appeal to me. If I receive an email a couple of hours late, not harm will be done
Still no updates on the original post?
I just set my emails to download every 30 mins and push email for Exchange.
Why is it so hard to push send/recieve if you want it for each account. How many email accounts do you need to have? I have 4 - its not big deal.

hi, sorry!
i have a question here.
i have three accounts from MS.
1 live.com 1 msn.com 1 hotmail.com
How can I set them up in the BS?
I can only receive/send one account at one time by signing the Windows live messenger and selecting to synchronize email.
Any ideas?
Thanks.
I am wondering if anyone else is experiencing the issues I am and if they were able to correct it.
I have two gmail addresses, One personal and one for business.
I have Thunderbird 3.0.4 setup on my laptop using gmail's IMAP
gmail online and Thunderbird on my laptop work good together and they both match (Messages/folders) as they sync constantly under IMAP.
I get my HD2 on the 24th of March. I set up both my personal and business email addresses on my phone (Using IMAP) with settings to download all messages... I click send/receive and nothing downloads to my phone...
None of my sent or to do messages sync with gmail and show up in my folders on my phone....
When new mail comes in sometimes I get it, sometimes I don't.... When I get home and check my Laptop I find all kinds of emails that my phone never got.
If I send an email from my phone, it sends fine, receiver gets the email ok but again, there is nothing in my sent folder (even with the "save sent mail in sent folder checked in settings)
I understand the purpose of IMAP is so all email clients sync and share the same information. This isn't the case with my phone.... I've deleted my email accounts and reinstalled them paying particular attention to the settings and each time I have the same end results....
Is anyone aware of a problem with this email client on the HD2.....or could it be gmail? I dunno, I can say I've never had any problems from gmail or Thunderbird before so it's very annoying not getting my email, especially my business emails
I even emailed gmail tech support and they said its my phone.... I guess I should of expected that response.
Anyone got any suggestions???
Thanks

Nobody at all???
