Does anybody know if the Wizard is able to record a phone conversation (as a .wav file or simillar)?
Regards,
Henrik
I use notem on my wallaby, answer/make the call, open notem and press record. I don't see why it would work any differently on another ppc phone.
Two things...
Notem is a great little program that will record in wav or mp3.
#2. I am not aware of the laws of your country, but strongly advise that you not break any laws with my this info. It is only advice and I can't be held responsable for what you do with that info.
WHAT YOU DO IS NOT MY RESPONSABILITY!!!!
Other than that, Good Luck!
Thanks, I will give NoteM a try (as soon as my Qtec 9100 arrives).
BTW, in Denmark it is not illegal to record conversations as long as you are a part in the conversation.
If you have a Bluetooth connection on your PC and a BT headset, you could use your PC headset profile to connect to the phone ie. use the pc mic and speakers. Of course this will allow the pc to record the sound, in and out.
If that is annoying, you can then pair your headset with the PC and then it would be as if your headset is paired with your phone, the only diffirence is that the pc would be able to record the entire conversation.
This works fine for the himalaya since the himalaya itself cant record the incomming sound of a phone call. Wel, it can, but it is extreamely faint since it is the mic on the device wich records both the sound from the built in speaker and your voice.
This might be different for some of the newer devices, I dont know.

I live in Virginia, USA, and here, as long as one of the poeple in the conversation knows that it's being recorded, then it's legal too. Just curious, and I'm almost afraid to ask, but what problem are you having that this solution solves?
Good luck!
I have had one bad experience where a salesman and I made a deal on the phone.
Afterwards we disagreed about we actually had agreed on.
In this case I would have liked to have had a recording of the conversation.
But of course I'm not interested in recording each and every conversation (though it would be handy if the phone did this automatically and saved them with a timestamp etc.)
BTW, as far as one-button recording (you just press a button and it starts recording) start is concerned, you may want to check out the "One-button recording? Does it need to show the app window?" row in the article "Everything you may need to know about sound recording on the Pocket PC": http://pocketpcmag.com/blogs/menneisyys/112005SoundRecorderApps.asp
Almost all sound / audio recorder applications know this trick.
Menneisyys:
That's a nice article, but long and involved. I've bookmarked it for a long night in.
What's the short answer? What are the ways to record a phone call conversation? I receive orders and direction several times a day. This would be a fantastic option for me.
Thanks
PMRecorder is a good one.

That looks good, but how/where do you d/l it?
Anyone tried any of these progz? Because I'm afraid that they could record my voice well but have problems with recording voice of person who calls me.
I use Resco Audio Recorder and I turn on the speakerphone - that does it ok. On one or two occasions I have managed to record both sides of the conversation without speakerphone. Haven't been able to do it reliably though, so I still use speakerphone if I need to be sure.
Obviosuly you can only utilize this in a quiet place with little interference.

Here is a download link: http://1800message.com/SPWM5CallRec.cab
Don't look at "SP" prefix, it works at qtek 9100, tested.

PMRecorder records calls with a normal quality.
Anyone know how the laws are in Finland about recording a phone call?
PMRecorder does not record the person you're taking to on the wizard, just the audio going into the microphone. Here,s what their support said about it.
"The Wizard does not support the dual audio path. the HTC Tornado and Cingular 2125 both support it, but the PPC Wizard does not. Sorry about that. It is a hardware limitation on the device."
I don't know about support answers. I just record an every call with two way voices.
Your speaker is probably loud enough for some audio from it to be captured by the mic. It does not directly record the audio stream though.
You may also want to read http://www.pocketpcmag.com/blogs/index.php?blog=3&p=513&more=1 on this subject - it gives a nice overview of what you can expect from PPC PE devices and what applications there're to (even automatically) record phone calls.
tried NoteM but when I launch it, my Wizard freezes.
anyone had the same experience?
NoteM gave me all sorts of problems on my wizard. When I uninstalled it, it made my mp3 ringtones stop working entirely. Had to hard reset to get them going again.
Does anyone has any voice and call recording software for TMO Wing?
Thanks in Advance
vito audio notes is a pretty good program. It auto records calls, but it isn't very clear unless you use the speaker phone. For some reason it used to work alot better on the tmo dash than it does on my wing.
Hello everyone,
I am going to buy HTC HD2 from O2 soon. I've just spent a couple of
minutes in the shop playing with the phone and it's great.
The only thing keeping me away from buying it is the lack of call recording
application. I need to record my incoming and outgoing calls.
So, my question is: Have you come across any application to record the calls
if not, is anything like that in the pipeline?
Thanks,
Laurentius26 ROMS have Automatic Call recording, application which record phone calls automatically and after the call, ask you if you want to save them or not... it is call ACR... I have not managed to find the application that same application that works on the HD2 outside Lau's rom... maybe if we ask him?....
Anyway, yes there is an application..

Would be great to have that on the HD2, but I don't want to flash my HD2!
Try Audio Notes Touch at from iWindowsMobile at iwindowsmobile.com/mobile-audio-recorder.html

thanks, but my point was laurentius has it working on his rom.....
this version..well
"Devices that only work one way
Touch HD2
HTC XDA2
Xperia X1"
Apparently ACR suffers from very low caller volume and I've just tried Audio Notes Touch v1.03 and its the same.. really would be nice to find a fully working set of software that will work on our HD2's..
Hi Terry,
I ve noticed you are with O2. Did you have any problem
using ANT 1.3 in the UK, as it says its "These applications are not legal in all countries".
You said:"suffers from very low caller volume", cld u tell me more pls.
Can you hear the conversation well when re-listen? (does it help if u plug your headphones in to re-listen?)
Is there any noise in the background? Is it enough clear to understand the talk?
I am not a native speaker thats why I am asking about the details.
Thanks
This works on some depending how the mic is wired.

To be honest I did forget to mention one important thing which is I always use a bluetooth headset which may well have an effect so I'll have to try it again without it..
With the bluetooth it records my voice perfectly but the caller can hardly be heard as they are very quiet...(this is by playing it back with bluetooth switched off and listening to the phones speaker..if I playback a recording while still connected to bluetooth I hear nothing at all!) Sorry but I dont use plug in headphones of any sort at all as I don't like getting tangled up in wires
There is no problem with background hiss or static but you would need to be somewhere really quiet to be able to hear the recorded callers voice (in fact on my second test call,I couldn't hear it at all) no need to applogise for your language..this is the only one I know so it's me who should be blushing from ignorance.
Now going to try again but without bluetooth...
Well,if you use the phone without bluetooth it seems to work perfectly...my voice was crystal clear and the other voice was as clear as it was when I was speaking to them (obviously if you have poor reception due to your connection, quality of the recorded voice will be at the same level)
I've also just found some other recorders that I'm going to test out ,when I can, to see if any of them offer bluetooth support!
Dear community,
the mic seems to work perfectly fine when I record videos.
However my voice messages on Whatsapp, as well as any recordings with the built in voice recorder don't record properly. There is only strange noise, hissing.
Do you know Any solution?
Thank you!
Kevin
Update: when I switch to "interview" mode while using built in voice recorder the recording comes out fine.
Does anyone understand what is going on?
I think the most popular VoIP call recording app is Cube ACR. When I tried to record a Messenger call using Cube ACR, I noticed that only my voice is being recorded. When I tried Universal Call Recorder app by SPARKLING APPS and it was recording the calls very well, but the problem is that another person hears me worse (at a lower volume) and he hears the echo of his voice, even when I use the earphones. My mom has Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 and it perfectly records VoIP calls on Cube ACR and there are no side effects. I also tried IntCall recorder from ApkPure and when I try to play my recording, it says that my device probably doesn't support VoIP call recording. Is there any possibility that H990DS could record VoIP calls without any side effects? I use Lineage OS 18.1 BTW.
