Thanks in advance,

I've tested this cab on a HTC blue angel. It installed ok and it performed an auto reset at the end.
I've attached some snapshots with it, please see my comments.
I too installed this program . It was a great try and a needed application. at 80kb its a decent plugin , however i had the same issues in both portrait and landscape as above. Icons are too big (they are cutoff halfway) In the options tab you may wish to add the option to resize. The auto soft reset without warning was a little unerving. You have to fix that ! Thanks again for the opportunity.

Thanks radhoo, thanks kinmont,
i will quickly fix the resolution problem and add a message that notifies of the soft reset.
All the info i need regarding the device is:
Model Name
RUU
Platform
and confirmation that toggles are working totally or partially.
Thanks,
Raul
I've uploaded more compact versions. Same links. Hope that it looks well on 2003 devices.
Cheers,
Raul
Apache/ppc-6700--WM5 (aku 2.1)
Display: Looks fine now, all images display properly
Icons: All work. They enable/disable function and show correct status.
Recommendations: Space out the icons so they are equall spread across the screen e.g. the wifi icon would "touch" the right hand side much like the logo on the left.
Big one: Need 5-way navigation support! I really hate whipping out my stylus to do such a task, but being able to navigate over each function (w/ a bright, thick red selection border) would be ideal. PhoneAlarm has this function with 1.5 and it would be a good idea to have.

Hi Raul,
All toggles work fine for me Device is Orange SPV M5000, WM5, Radio 1.09... Nice plug-in - props to ya!
Aesthetic improvements I'd like to see -
1)The first button (I take it that this is your 'logo' as it seems to have no effect when tapped) should have a different colour background to the rest, ideally no background at all or just a thin border of a contrasting colour around it.
2)That's it!
*edit* - I had no soft reset post installation, just went back to today screen and there it was!
Thanks again . I tried the new plugins and they are the correct size now but when i installed this a few of my prorams stopped displaying on the today screen. once i removed the program the plugins came back. Anyone else wit that issue?
A suggestion make the icons transparent so they blend in with the background. and if you wish to make it aesthecally pleasing i world suggest making the icons round similar to the freeware program found at the link below:

Ok kinmont thanks for the reply. I will change the layout of the plugin and the notify the comunity about it here. And i'll add the 5-button navigation as malatesta suggested it
Cheers,

Great! Look forward to the new version!
This plugin came in handy in the car when I needed to switch to BT quickly so it's definitely a great idea.
One more thought: Since you already have Wifi, BT and Phone, why not use that 4th icon (the logo?) to the left as a GPRS toggle?
That'd give all 4 radio functions all in one place, plus I could see a use for it (if I kill my Phone radio w/active data, my active data won't return till after a soft reset, so I need to manually "close it down" before hand).
Ok guys here's a new version for you
Enjoy!
http://teksoftco.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=120
Working just great! Thanks for adding all of those recommendations! And the favourite SSID addition is real nice as well.
Can somebody with a Hermes test it and get back with some feedback?
Please guys
Cheers,
Raul
no config options? is it possible to make a text versions in one line?
i don't really like those big icons, they eat too much space
thanks and regards.
What would you like to configure?
Did you test it on a Hermes device?
What do you mean that the icons are too big? In version 2 i made the plugin as big as a normal standard today plugin...
Can you please detail more on "make a text versions in one line".
Thanks,
Raul
i mean something like:
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Bluetooth: OFF || Wi-fi: ON || IRDA: OFF || AS: OFF
---------------------------------------------------------------------
i mean a text version of the plugin, those icons are too big (and, in my personal opinion, pretty ugly).
don't take it as an offence, just trying to be constructive
Aha,
i see. No problem as i didn't planed it for a longer use just for testing purposes... I will add some nice alphablended icons.
Stay tuned.
Cheers,
Raul Tinca
cool, thanks

Hi,
after purchasing Visual Studio 2005 i have finished the first release (and the first program!) of an Egg-Timer. I have removed the need of CF2.0 - it should work now on every PDA without any additional download.
Some comments on it?
Feature Plan:
- Switch off screen during count down to save battery power
- save user settings
- customize layout: change backgroud color and color of buttons
- add more counter to stop time in parallel
- save entire recipes which can direcly be loaded to the counter
Revision History
v1.4
- Second Sound just before the countdown ends (15 seconds)
- Remove the requirement of the .net CF2.0
- implemented a stop watch
v1.3
Major functionality included in the progi:
- PDA prevent from switching off during countdown
- Sound stops by pressing either Stop or Start button
v1.2
- Some Bugfixes
- fixed: Scrollbars removed
- About Menu included
- Start Button is usable from right softkey
v1.1
- wave file is selectable now
- thumbfriendly
- Some Default suggestions
- Speed up the timer by menu to get an enhanced accuracy
- Options Menu included
Let me know if it works on your device.
Looks great! Will test it soon!
This i like. But this is really a prog u need to make thumbfriedly! I mean minutes and secons. and also have a memory so u just can press for instance the usuall 3 minutes.

Thumbfriendly - hmm - thats a good improvement. I will put it on my todo list. I have some good ideas. This issue is very easy to implement. Let me see if i can release a new version in short time. Nevertheless: Do you know that you can just tap on one of the NumericUpDownCounter with a thumb and control it via the DPAD? That is also comfortable....
The other idea with a memory is also a good idea but it is more tricky to implement. I have to read in more detail of programming. Maybe some registry storing or an ini file will be ok. At a first i will implement some hardcoded suggestions. This is easy to implement.
Thank you for the good ideas.

EggTimer gives an error.
EggTimer needs a newer version of .NET Compact Framework than is installed on the device.
I’m getting a “InvalidProgramException”.
I’m using ROM 2.01a.64WWE; WM5.0 OS 5.1.195 (Build 14847.2.0.0) so I do have the newest version?
Or isn’t it a standard part of the OS?
If not, where can I get a newer version of .NET Compact Framework?

You need the CF 2.0 and can download it here:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...6b-356b-4a2c-857c-e62f50ae9a55&DisplayLang=de
But if you can wait some time i will release a version without the needs of the CF 2.0 ...
I just tried your eggtimer and its really good! But just rememered that i tried something like this before..
the problem is u want to turn off the device so that i reserves power.. but the timer doesnt work than. Two possible workarounds ( im no programmer so bare with me) either have a buttan that swithes of the display OR maybe its possible to check the realtime clock and activate the alarm after the right amount of time?.. just a sugestion.. if possible
Regards
Good job topcaser come along way since the first release.
I like the fact the backlight stays on so you can keep an eye on the time, when cooking your egg, so an optional light/screen on/off would be a good idea.
When i tried it on my wizard alarm kept going off even when i closed the program hope that can be fixed.
Maybe an idea to startup with the standard 3 minutes (default) and have an option to change.
Thanks again, i shall return
p.s. great you released without the net, boy do i hate that thing fills up your memory!?!?
Find attached 2 egg timer images - perhaps that can be made into an ico file for your exe - a high profile program like yours needs an icon
Will give this ago when I get AS back on my PC...
Thanks
Terran
When I start it, it closed down :?:
I have net installed using it on a rx 3715 with WM2003SE
Not sure if you are still developing it or not. I like it very much. Just hope it get better.
1. Make it save the state when exiting (stopwatch or not, timer preset data).
2. Move the bigger buttons (start/stop/proceed) to the bottom, so that it can be easily touched by thumb.
3. If the stopwatch doesn't start from zero, I still didn't find a way to reset it to zero.
Palm has a freeware: stopwatch, which is very easy to use:
Pic
Palm also has a good freeware for timer: bigwatch, in which touching the min/hour/sec upper part will increase 1, touching the lower part will decrease 1, very concenvient.
bigclock
Good luck!
PROGRAM IS NOT WORKING AT 100%! AT THIS MOMENT ONLY FUCTIONS LISTED BELOW ARE WORKING. OTHER FUNCTIONS UNDER DEVELOPMENT.
Current Version

I'm begginer in programming. So dont promise a VGA version. I wrote it with Windows Mobile 6 SDK. I think it will work with 5.0 and 6.0 of coarse.
Actually I doing it for my personal using (QTek S200, WM6).
Will be glad if some one else will can to use it
hi MaxKysh, im a beginner too. Is possible to use grafic libs like XFlib in your project?
Don't know I use only API functions.
Please, try it
Here it is if somebody want to try Please report of your try.
Tested on QTEK S200 - works well.
Tested on Asusu p525 - don't work BlueTooth swith (will try to fix it).
WiFi switch don't realised yet.
Place into Program Files on your device.

http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=72766&stc=1&d=1204001375
I've got an normal htc elf p3450
And the program doesn't work correct, the background doesn't load therefore the transparant icons doesn't show.
I can enter the settings tab but i don't think any of the settings work.
I know you are a starting programmer (and i can't program anything so i have deep respect for you) but could you concider something like total customization
Greetz
Did you extract it to Program Files? (I meen Program Files\MaxHome\, and not to Storage Card (!)). Don't promise full customize but will work on it

hi, just tried it, unzipped to device/Program Files/Max Home
tried running MaxHome01b.exe and comes up with error:
"the file 'MaxHome01b' cannot be opened. Either it is not signed with a trusted certificate, or one of its components cannot be found. You might need to reinstall or restore this file."
I clicked on accept when it said it wasnt signed...
Not working for Wizard
Date and time displayed correctly, the "Comm Manager" displays correctly but the Bluetooth button is the only one functioning, the rest do not have any effect.
Icons at the bottom do not work at all.
Anyhow, good idea, keep the good work!
Forget to say:
realized at this moment only:
- Clocks
- BlueToot, GSM, GRRS switch (WiFi - not yet)
- Balance Update
The bottom icons just for full view They are not working.
Please tell me, which Software to programm do you use??
Can you post the source code, so that we can help you to make a realy realy good home screen?
Thanks
Added a quick fix file for users with 0.95 installed
-Fixes the huge weather icon
-All programs including subfolders show up under programs
-volume control under settings just controls flipslide sounds not pda volume.
-also an option in flipslidelaunch.ini to turn of sound always just add false to the bottom.
-Tasks are organized properly and tasks with no due date don't display 1/1/01
Just unzip FlipSlide_0.95_Fix.zip below and copy to your \program files\FlipSlide directory on your pda, also delete your flipslide.ini and flipslidelaunch.ini files in the home \ directory.
Enjoy.
The new version which is dedicated to speed and size is coming along nicely, I may be able to finish it this weekend. It is about 7 times smaller in size and should hopefully be atleast 5 times quicker for load time and runtime.

WOOOW this is a great program, i installed it on my kaiser/tytn II but its QVGA, are you willing to make a QVGA version to, because i really love this, if it was commercial i would pay for it. the vga version works on kaiser.
Thanks in advance for considering..
greetings
Marcel van Blankers
Is there any QVGA version??
It seems very great I want to try it out..
Works good on my Axim X51V using WM6.1 but can I customize it? Don't use Media Player for example.. Also on the first page it shows tasks but no appointments! Anyway it's a great thing, one of the best I've tested so far!
Just in time to get nominated for the awards!Of course, without a QVGA version.....
Thans for the feedback
About the calendar, The calendar button on the front page is your daily planner. It shows only appointments for the day, you can press the arrors above it to go forward and back days and pressing the center bar returns you to your current day. If any on the front page icons have a green bar under it then that means you have data in it.
For the QVGA option, I do plan on building one however it's a little difficult because i only have a vga pda and I want to design it differently for QVGA, this program was designed to not have to use a stylus and take advantage of the large display. I want to use a diffent touch interface for QVGA that better maximizes the space for it's specs. But yes, it's in my plans.
For the video link, i've have problems getting one uploaded because i can't find the software to retrieve it from my camera an they don't allow you to download it. And software recorders for the PDA always seem to make it look choppy which it i not. If anyone doesn't mind recording a short vid and put it on youtube or somewhere i can access it I would be very greatful.
About customization, My next release I plan to allow changes to default programs for media, contact, tasks, dialer and such. I also plan of making this skinable. I definately agree withyou, I also don't use media player as my default player.
Thank you very much for all your feedback. I will keep posting more, I usualy create new releases each week or two.
:>
Chet Striker
thank you very I will test it and give you feedback!
about the calendar again, it has a green bar but when I press it doesn't show any entry! the tasks icon works for me!
It looks nice. I will try it.
Curious G
This is only for the VGAversion????
Thanks...
Might bring some competition to PointUI in later builds!
Feedback
Hey TacoLoco, I was wondering if you could give me more info about your calendar problem, like do you have appointments in microsoft calendar for the day? and if so are your appointments a single occurance or weekly, monthly or yearly appointments that are in microsoft calendar but not in flipslide?
also i was wondering what PDA and OS your using.
Any further feedback would be very helpful.
Thanks

QVGA project started
Ok, i'm starting the QVGA program today, It will probably be by this weekend or at latest by next before it's up. But It seems enough people are interested.
Since I don't actualy own a QVGA PDA, and virtualization runs unrealistically slow, I may need testing help from people along the way.

I developed application I was always missing on WindowsMobile - one that shows time remaining to next appointment or time left to current appointment. It's still in beta phase, I hope you will help me find bugs and problems.
neXt - v.0.5.4BETA
UPDATE:
- internet updates added
- some little improvements
Requirements:
- .NET CF installed
- WM5 or higher (tested on WM6 and WM6.1)
- 50KB of internal storage memory
Some informations:
- tapping on today plugin launches main application
- application is completly freeware (BSD based licence will be included in final version)
- unknown VGA compatibility - on emulator looks good, but I don't have VGA device to make tests
- doesn't support all-day events
- informs about appointments from today and tomorrow
- it has multi-language support - take a look on xml files in program directory: you can make your own translation
- english (default) and polish languages included
- internet updates
Install to internal storage, not memory card!
I will be very thankful for any feedback and bug reports.
New version added!
Last version was downloaded over 20 times - please give me some feedback. Is it working good or not and what is wrong?
will give it a shot and let you know. thanks
been looking for something like this. using the today plug in, the only thing that seems to be happening is the keyboard icon comes up on main screen and I lose the soft buttons at the bottom but after opening and closing random programs it sorts itself out. cheers. I'm have kjam running wm5.

I have something like this. Softkeys are functional then. It happens mostly after first loading plugin (after activating or soft reset). Best cure is to launch anything and go back to today screen - everything should be normal again (as you said). I think the reason is that this plugin is in fact windows form (not window in native code).
I'm glad it works with WM5, not only WM6
Does this work for alarm? Spb Shell has a nice "Time remaining for next alarm" on the main screen. neXt has this feature?
Does not display properly on a Diamond VGA device. Plugin 2nd line is cut in half [cannot read] and the main program does not resize for VGA [stays in QVGA size, about 1/4 of screen].
Otherwise it does appear to be working properly.
Ok,
So a few of us have had a Touch Pro 2 now for a couple of days and have been asked by many people "Does this work, Does that work" and its going to be so much easier if we collate these into one place as a reference, so when the people who asked get their phone, they can quickly download it.
Make a list below (with screenshots if possible) of modifications that work / don't work and a link to that thread, even if its cross linking to the Blackstone forum which most of these will as they are very very alike.
Example.
Title: Notification Manager with Buttons
Working? Nope
Link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=505904
Brief Description: This supplies buttons next to the actual notification in the notifications manager, so it will take you to.. say battery, comm manager etc.
Think this doesn't work due to its Topaz rather than Rhodium.
Hopefully we should get a list of things that work/dont work and collate a massive inventory
Title: High Resolution Wallpapers for all tabs
Working? Nearly, 95%
Link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=503511
Description: Creates a wallpaper via the PC for your phone, portrait or landscape in better quality than just selecting it in TF3D. This works all but the home wallpaper, which defaults to the standard one. You can however, select the wallpaper in the TF3D settings, but it wont be as good a quality as the rest of the tabs.
Remeber to untick CFC Compression in settings or you will get a white screen
Title: IGO8 (HD Version)
Working? Yes
Link: http://www.igomyway.eu/
Description: GPS Navigation Software for Windows Mobile™ based PDA devices and Smartphones
Title: Microsoft Voice Command V1.6
Working? No
Link: http://www.handango.co.uk/
Description: Bluetooth control for voice activated dialing - installs and will work with a hardware button (press and hold "Send") but will not work through bluetooth.
