what is it?

Have any one tried this version on XDA I with WM2003 as it's part of TMO 4.01.00 ROM ?

Ok I tried it and it works fine. However, it comes with different exe names so it doesn't update the ROM side of the application ... wasting some valuable space and leave no option for uninstall :?
Maybe someone will add it to A30.09 when its sound issue is solved :x

Intellipad problem

Hoping there's a simple explanation for this annoying problem ...
Upgraded my XDAII to WM2003SE - all went smoothly and fine. Extended ROM installed IntelliDial and also IntelliPad.
Now IntelliDial works just fine, no problems at all. IntelliPad however I cannot get to work. It's installed correctly (as it shows up in the drop down menu on Settings/Input) ..
However when I goto Notes, or Create New Message, I still get the standard keyboard. If I 'hit' the keyboard logo (bottom right of the screen), then amongst the options that 'pop-up' I get an entry for IntelliPad. If I select IntelliPad however, nothing happens - it still defaults back to keyboard !!!
What am I doing wrong ??? Any idea's ?

Sounds strange, probably something went wrong during install.
What version do you use?
How about un-install & re-install?

I installed the one that was posted by DCS in the external ROM package @ http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=13588&start=0
It's on an UK O2 XDAII.
Can anyone recommend another suitable IntelliPad download perhaps ?

I might have fixed it
Downloaded the German IntelliPad that was posted @ http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=13066&highlight=.
Changed the language to English and it now appears ? Maybe there is a problem with the other version ?
The German version that I downloaded is v1.0 (Build 17286) - anyone know what version / build number the DCS is ?

I have installed IntelliPad & IntelliDialer on my XDA,, it worked just fine, but it killed my GPRS connection
I can't connect to GPRS no more, I have to hard reset my device
anyone can help??!!!!!!

sorry. u need to search for others help. i myself also don't know how to uninstall it. there is no uninstall for this. manual job is needed.

O2 Xda Mini S questions

Hi Guys,
new to the forum and i have a couple of questions
1) Does anyone know how to configure rules - for free - in the pocket outlook on WM5?
2) The o2 UI is starting to grate on me now and i want to remove it in favour of a NORMAL today screen. can this be done?

I remove all o2 software when the machine is hard reset. You go through the usual cut/paste appointment, set time, password. Then you get 'tap screen to continue' after this you get a message which says something like ' 3 seconds until reconfigure ' ( i can't remember the message ). Within this 3 seconds BEFORE the o2 cr*p loads simply soft reset. easy. You get basic wm5.0 with no o2 bloat.
I find it really helps with general speed and especially screen rotate when pulling out the keyboard.
You will then need to set up gprs/mms settings yourself UNLESS someone knows which .cab file holds this info in the extended rom area...;-) I've tried them all - no luck.

Many thanks for that- i had a search around and found that if i remove the O2 things from \windows\startup then softreset i can uninstall the o2active rubbish and keep my settings. The speed difference is fantastic!!!
I've also installed an application called switch which has a tiny footprint and is brilliant for closing apps.
Still searching around for how to use outlook rules though
Also can anyone recommend a "desktop" style application (for free) so i can have a shortcuts tab in my today view?

can you please post the cab file that creates the o2 active ui? it is located in your extended rom! why i am asking? it is not there in the german version of the xda mini s....

forgive me how would i do that?

if i where you i would install the extended rom unlocker (here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=33680), then copy the files you find in that folder to sd card, zip the o2 active ui cab and attach it here
after thet delete the extended rom unlocker tool on your device and everything is like it was before.

it's of course the uk file. if you need german - let me know. but the active ui isn't in the german rom, thats why i've asked here for it. unfortunately it is not visuable after installation - i am evaluating at the moment, what the problem is.

I downloaded it (through a proxy) and tried to upload to the ftp of this site, but it says 'Pesmission Denied'. Sorry

XDA O2 Mini S - keyboard problems

Hello all, newbie here. I bought a new XDA O2 Mini S on eBay (eBay item number 5837326300), and I just got it. Phone and internet works great with my Cingular GSM/GPRS service here the US...however, the keyboard mapping is messed up. The auction listing said it was a QWERTZ (whatever that is) keyboard and I believe it has an i-Mate ROM. My Z and Y are reversed and several shift+ inputs do not match what is on the keyboard. Here is the info from my device:
Model No.: WIZA200
Windows Mobile 5.0 (build 14402.1.1.0)
ROM version: 1.1.93
ROM date: 9/16/05
Radio version: 01.01.10
Protocol version: 4.0.13.16
ExtROM version: 1.1.9.106
Can someone please tell me how to get the keyboard to match the inputs listed on the keys? Sorry if this thread already exists somewhere...I couldn't find any relevant posts via forum search. Could someone also tell me if i should re-flash with a new ROM?

Is there an international setting that you can change?
I can't try it as mine Vario doesn't get delivered until tomorrow
But I won't be able to play until Saturday as it's my works Christmas 'do' tomorrow

we need only the keybddr.dll from a qwertz device, but nobody
can copy this file. (attribut system und much more)

Already tried. The DLL is badly extracted. Size is wrong. And if you try to use it, there is no keyboard anymore. Tried on two M3000. Unfortunately, didn't have time to check further (if additional files or registry settings are required for exemple).

Yes, I used that one (and also tested testwm5 found on another thread). It's quite strange, because all files are dumped correctly (html, images, etc...). But all DLL have wrong size, although their content seems correct (apport last bytes of course). I have tried to cut the DLL at the right size, but it didn't work. So if someone has time to look further, he maybe can find the trick.

You may try to use AEKMap ([url]http://ae.inc.ru/aekmap.php) [/url] for make A<-->Z replacement.

but @ and ! are wrong ...

I have no layout file to fix this issue because I have no such device at all. But as far as I know AEKMap beta was used for resolving similar problem on BlueAngel (and you may find this layout somewhere on the beta version page). And I will gladly publish such layout in database and present reg code to anyone who will send me new useful layout

last week i download AEKMap and has try 5 hours to modify
one map to get the @
No chance with the keyboad from the wizard.
Other peoples has the same problem with @ and AEKMap and
the device htc wizard.

As you may note the new version 1.1 was published two days ago instead of 0.9.4 Beta available since 2004. Probably this version will resolve the problem.
Could you please describe me, why you were unsucessful trying beta? Are needed keys were not cacheable? Or any other reason?

I have spent few hours in trying to figure if I can assign a button for changing layouts.
I have k-jam and I have 2 language support on it - english and german.
How can I toggle between those 2? I want to have a combination of 2 keys to go from german layout to english and from english to german (like ALT+SHIFT on desktop comps).
Any ideas?

If it uses T-Mobile then this will work for you!!!

Hmm, not sure, have installed them both but can't find any info about them in the connection settings. Do I need to install the arcsoft mms for it to work?

Sorry the FTP has ben tidyed up abit and the file is not there any more!!! But if you look you will find the files in there!!!

Not sure if the cabs were responsible, but after installing them for fresh I couldn't receive any calls, and after installing them I can receive calls. Don't seem to work for fresh mobile.

I just installed the faria rom and it seems great but now i cant connect to internet via GPRS not can I get MMS to work.. have clicked the .cab link in this post but that doesnt seem to work either. Can anyone advise where the cab file is..?
Also I dont appear to be able to connect to the FTP server.....??

I ripped the settings from the T-mobile UK website and these work fine for me with this latest Faria ROM and the 02.25.11 Radio ROM.
This radio rom seems to give me better battery life, and I don't have the missed calls issue that the later radio roms can cause.

If you have followed all the downgrade/unlock/upgrade_to_current_provider_ROM/upgrade_to_Faria_ROM sequence you should have a radio ROM of at least 2.xx. This should work fine with Faria's ROM. If you need/want to change your Radio ROM have a look here for a selection.
My own feelings are that the 2.47 radio roms have excellent signal strength but at the expense of decreased battery life, also there have been reports of missed calls with this ROM.

The autoconfig within Farias excellent ROM did not work for me. I have had to re input the settings after every ROM change, so I can nearly remember the settings off by heart The settings in the text file, a couple of posts back) have worked on every ROM for me. (FlexT with Web&Walk)
Yes I have no problem with MMS, Web over GPRS and Windows Live Messenger.
