How does one obtain the device ID of a wizard?
Don't know if this is what you want, but take a look at Start->Settings->System->Device Information -> Identity
If that isn't what you want Try Settings -> about -> Device Id.

i want to install a not register hebrew application and i can not because a bad device id.can i Change the device id.
Is there a way to change the model no \ Device ID as indicated in Device Info > Identity ?
Did a search but could not find any info on it.
Model Number can be changed, it is help in nk.exe In the XIP and in the SPL.
The DeviceID is the IMEI, So yes technically (this is in the CID block) but its a damn dodgy area and you can easily get locked up for altering it.
Thanks for the reply. I have no interest in changing the IMEI number. I am hoping there is a way to change the hardware" id. Leaf (www.leaf.co.za) has a free navigation software programe but only for PDA's id'd as HTC. They do not want to support Imate's as they do not have the support contract for Imates.
I have one NIKI100 and I can't connect to PC bcs is phone locked. Is from Denmark, with the imei:356610014147181. Is there any solution to unlock it?
Thank you.
All i need is a possibility to override the USER CODE, then i will unlock it from the network...any ideas???
Try to make a hardreset.
Goto Start -> Settings -> System -> Erase Memory (or so)
After this the phone should be unlocked.
Hello,
I have a storage drive with data on it that I want to be able to access from my HD2 but sadly I can't get it to connect. I have connected to the WiFi successfully and have the expected network address but I can't get it to connect. I have tried the following:
1. Go to file explorer
2. Menu > Go To > Open Path
3. New Path
4. \\dm105
5. I also tried \\IPADDRESS
I guessing the problem is due it being attached to a Windows 7 machine. Does anyone have any idea how to make it work? My windows XP box can connect to the drive no problem...
With \\IPADDRESS it says that network resource cannot be found. With \\DM105 it says my connection settings are missing but then I don't know what to do...
I get exactly the same problem, I'd expect at least a login prompt!
This may solve the problem
- Go to Settings -> All Settings (to get the original Windows Setting) -> Connections -> Wi-fi -> Click on Wireless Network -> Choose your network for the list -> change 'Connects to': from 'internet' to 'Work'.
Try to connect again from file explorer.
Good Luck
I have not found about this. So, i thought i should make a post here about how to find your Device ID without searching in Registry.
There are a few steps only & they are idiot proof. The regular method posted in the official & some other threads can give you more than one DeviceID for your Phone if you have plugged the Phone in different USB Ports.
Even searching in Registry can give you more than one DeviceID if you used multiple USB Ports. So, in that case you will need to know which is the correct deviceID for your model & this does not involve searching in Registry.
1) Install SEUS ( Sony Ericsson Update Service ) from the official website.
2) Install the Update Software while your phone is connected to your machine. After installing the Software , Disconnect your Phone from your Computer & start the Update application & follow the prompts.
3) Put your phone in Flash Mode.
4) A Green light will turn on while your phone is off if you have done it properly which is shown on the above picture.
5) Now press your Keyboard's Windows & Pause Break buttons at the same time. And go to Device Manager.
6) Expand the " Universal Serial Bus Controllers " & Click on " SEMC Flash Device " .
7) Now from the SEMC Flash device window, scroll through the value of " Device Instance ID " .
8) There you will get your DeviceID.Just highlight & Ctrl+C & Paste it in a Notepad. As you know the last parts are your DeviceID.
In this way you will not search into registry & you will get the correct DeviceID every time you connect your Phone to your machine in the Flash Mode.
Thank You.
