Problem after upgrade - can anyone help? - JASJAR, XDA Exec, MDA Pro General

Hi
I just unlocked my Jasjar (using Buzz's download) and installed the latest ROM from the iMate website. So now I'm on 1.3.76 WWE.
Activesync talks OK etc, however I have problems in that TomTom won't now re-install and the .net CF and pocket SQL (which I need for another application) now won't install (they all don't get past the screen for commencing install).
Anyone have any idea what's going on?
Thanks
Brian Abbott

Got the same problem here, have the very latest Win CE version from the t-mobile dutch rom, and since then tom tom update installs (5.21) but when setting the program up it freezez and then crashes tomtom at the point where you select a voice - not been able to get past this. Had it working fine previously with an earlier version of wince.

Tomtom 5.xx hangs while install process

Hello,
I was pleased to hear about the new 5.21 version of TomTom, looking foward to install it on my Magician. But there is a problem i've with that new that's the same like all the older versions. I'm not able to install it on my PPC.
There is no difference installing it by the Tomtom Setup from the Desktop or installing the cabs on the Magician. I'm able to install all modules like PIMaddin, GPS and Today but the Setup hangs while performing the ttn.cab so I have to do a soft-reset. I tried several ROM-versions and did hard-reset my PPC xxx times. Don't know what to do. There is no help from Tomtom or t-mobile. They all say it must be a software problem by the other one. Thank you.
Please help me.
Looking foward for a solution

MorphGear and GAPI Error?

Hi,
I have installed the latest MorphGear 2.3.0.2.
When I start MorphGear, I get the following error:
Destiny: Exception in e:\dev\spicypixel\destiny\src\gapi\gapidisplay.cpp at line 355
Has anyone had the same problem and found a way to fix that?
Can anyone help so I can get it to work?
I have already tried installing to Memory, Storage Card, Hard reset starting from the beginning again and only installed Morphgear but I still get the same error. Thanks a lot
My device is:
Universal (T-Mobile UK - MDA Pro)
OS: Windows Mobile 5
Runningthe latest I-mate ROM
Fresh installation
Windows Mobile 5 no longer supports GAPI. Instead programmers need to use ExtEscape.

Does TomTom 5.0 work with WM5

been searching this and many other forums but i still cannot seem to find the answer.
is wm5 only capable of working with tomtom5.21? what about earlier versions? i cannot seem to get them working on mine (version 5.0/5.1).
any idea?
To make Tomtom work on a WM5 Pocket PC you need to use version 5.21
hmmm so it looks like i will need to get newer maps for tomtom coz i hear that older US maps dun work with 5.21 right?
I am sorry I can not Help you on the Information about the USA Maps.
I Hope someone elase can?
Would have thought it would try it what have you got to loose, you can get the update fromm tomtom website for free.
yea but i cant seem to find the updates for the US map on tomtom
Hi,
I don't have a Universal but have delt with this problem with the Blue Angel.
As long as you have version 5.20 you can install the software by inserting your TomTom CD/DVD and cancelling any autorun programs that load.
You then need to download the *ZIP* file from- http://www.tomtom.com/support/index.php?Language=1&query=5.21&FID=3361
Extract the ZIP and copy the setup.exe file to it's own directory, run it and it will load the setup on the CD/DVD with some extra compatability. Everything should install then.
On my Blue Angel I find the "TomTom" icon doesn't appear in my Programs list, although everything is installed. It's just a cause of creating a shortcut to "My Device/Navigator/Tom Tom Navigator"
Also, if that fails, there is another way of doing it...

Tomtom 7 Software Instalation Fails

I’m using an htc tytn ii and trying to install tomtom navigation software version 7 there on but getting the error “Installation was unsuccessful. The program or setting cannot be installed because it has not been digitally signed by a trusted certificate” where after the instalation shuts down. I’ve tried the tomtom software on my tytn with the same result. Any help?
I’ve already tried the file default-signed-disablesecurity.zip as well as turning off the appropriate messages with kaiser tweak with out any success. the tytn ii uses windows mobile 6 and the tytn windows mobile 5 just for some extre information in case it’s necessary
Thanks in advance
first, this is is NOT tytn/kaiser forum.
2nd, i had no problem installing TT7 on my Universal w/ WM6. Yes, it *****ed about Unsigned code but I selected OK and it installed just fined. Perhaps u downloaded a bad copy of TT7. Use the 7.450 version.
Hi there
Thanks for the advice. I've been searching high and low for that version of tomtom ... Do you know where I can download it? Are you able to post a link to't?
Thanks again

Java on Typhoon

As my MDA (HTC Wizard) stopped working (looking for a new phone to replace it--perhaps the IPAQ 910), in the meantime I've gone back to my prior phone, the Audiovox SMT-5600, which is the HTC Typhoon, running WM 2003 Smartphone. I'm on the T-Mobile (USA) network.
So, until I get a new phone, I'm trying to configure my Typhoon to work better for me
The SMT-5600 comes with the Tao Intent JVM. I was able to install the new Opera Mini with it. However, I'm not able to do with it any of the hacks I've read about here--like making a shortcut to go right to OM (without the Java screen first), and to eliminate the screen asking permission to connect to the internet. (I guess most of those hacks are for JBED.)
Also, I cannot install either the Gmail app, or the Google Maps (Java version) with the TAO JVM. When I go to the m.google.com site, and download the gmaps.jad, i end up getting an error message from Tao, about not being able to install it. (OT-I also tried installing the WM version of Google Maps, and that wouldn't install on the SMT-5600 either. Perhaps it is only for WM5 and later.)
Anyhow, I am wondering if any alternative JVMs (to the TAO) exist, that will work on this phone? (Menneisys, are you reading?) I tried a few JBED versions downloaded from this site, and haven't yet found one that will install on the Typhoon.
I do have the IBM J9 installed, from years ago, when I originally used the phone. But I have not been able to get it to work successfully. (I have it installed to storage card, and don't know if that is a problem. It is large though, and no room to install in internal memory.)
Anyhow, any JBED versions that will work on this phone (with WM2003), or any that would work better than the TAO?
