I bought a new MDA Compact on TMOBILE and i unlocked successfully with your great app (thanks). I want to remove all of the tmobile branding on the phone (there is loads). I need to change it so it is like the Vodafone VPA (equivalent of MDA) Is there anyway i can do this. Here is my device info:

The easiest way to do this is to make a hard reset (all data will be lost) and press the reset button once the touchscreen initialization pops up. Then you will have a completely unbranded Magician.
Afterwards you can check for the Vodafone ROM here on the FTP, but most applications (cab files in the extended ROM) are not branded and the same as for the other Roms. The provider settings can be entered manually. Use the search for more informations on this.

Everytime i try to do a reset with power and reset and press reset at the windows touch here screen it still does customizing. Its so annoying could some1 plz tell me another way of getting rid of this stupid branding

Actually I have a cingular 8125 CID & SIM unlocked, it work with lokiwiz. I would like to know wich ROM update do you recomend me to put inside it and the procedure to do that. I´m a completly neebie.

I have tmobile mda from usa and i SIM Unlocked and CID Unlocked it using the 0.2b unlocker from machinagod.
1) Which is the latest OFFICIAL Rom i should upgrade to?
2) Which is the latest Unofficial Rom to upgrade to?
3) Going by version numbers the Dopod WWE Rom seems to be newest official ROM, is this correct?
Also an imate NL (dutch) rom seems newest, but will it be Enlglish?
4) I installed the official cingular rom on my tmo mda a shortwhile back as i did not have enought guts to try those unofficial ones from sumitter or xelecin or Mr.clean. Which one is the best of all?
Not sure which rom should i install now? can someone help?

Latest official t-mobile rom - and do soft reset before t-mobile extras install so U have a leaner install.

From the second rom you will get all you need - ad2p support, aku2.3 - able to remove battery from startbar etc...
Overall I believe in sticking with your own operators latest rom as that seems to give less problems. If you see the numerous posts with people having problems with different operator posts you will know what I mean. Also dont chop and change roms - its a risky business and you could end up with a brick. The dutch rom you mention will be in dutch not english so no good.

I am trying to install the PDAMobiz Wizard Crossbow_AKU 3 for G3, I have ungraded from cingular 8125 OEM 2.25 to RUU Molski Biz 226102_22610105_022511_WWE. So my question is on the splash screen (boot up) the info are as follows:

WHY is that?

I can't upgrade to the pdamobiz 3.0 rom? I know it is cid unlock I make sure to run the enable rapi every time i did the upgrade reboot then do the upgrade. I don't know why I can't do it. I did the upgrade fine to pdamobiz 3.0rom for my friends mda. 2 of them to be exact. Help Please. I'm going crazy. Thanks

but after alot of experimenting i have found a solution. i thought i'd post this to help anyone else out with the same problem!
I bought an M600 on orange PAYG however on inserting my orange contract sim i can use the phone but cannot send SMS messages or adjust phone settings, if i attempt to all i get is the message above.
having spoken to orange about this several times it turns out to be a sim compatibility issue. orange however do not support sim swapping all they can do is send out sims compatible with the handset they sent you! i.e the N73 i got on upgrade.
So my solution, i paid imei-check to CID unlock the phone, i actually already unlocked the phone using lockiwiz but that will only remove the simlock on a G4 and AFAIK imei-check are the only people to unlock the CID.
once unlocked i backed up the shipped rom to SD as described in the prophet WIKI (just in case i needed to restore it to orange settings) and then upgraded the rom.
i tried several shipped roms and eventually found this rom the

to not only work but also be in english. its a great rom, very basic without all the junk orange supply as standard
I don't really know why this has solved my problem i think its something to do with the radio rom but whatever it is it works perfectly!

That sounds weird why it works like that since my understanding of unlocking CID was merely so that one could install different ROMs. Someone pls correct me if I'm wrong here.

it is!!!! i needed to update the rom to get it to work! as above i stated that i changed from the orange rom to the qtek one, hence CID needs to be unlocked

Afaik, if you remove IPL/SPL from the ROM (There should be tutorials somewhere around here on how to do it) you don't have to CID unlock your phone.
I would really like to try this! I am always getting the same error so often whenever I send a new sms. I have an i-mate JAMin, prophet touch X ipl&spl 2.20, gsm 2.69. I can't find the ROM you're talking about in the xda-developer's ftp. Can you please upload it? Thank you so much!

yes i expect so, i'm no expert, thats just the way i solved the problem on mine!
i think it has to do with the radio rom version
You can update the radio ROM without having to change the normal ROM.

I am currently using v2.69. Does it mean I have to downgrade or test other versions? How about you? What version are you using guys?
hey as i stated, i'm not entirely sure what eaxctly it was that the replacement rom fixed but it did fix it!

Okay I have fixed mine. I tried all versions but only version 2.30.21 of Radio ROM only fixed my problem. Thanks guys for all the help.

I had the same issues, updated my M600 to the above ROM and it now works perfectly
wow - does that mean you guys are using a 3g sim in a orange m600??
if so - what is a radio rom (and what does it replace?)
can you run these radio roms with wm6.1? or does it mean going back to 5?

something i also have tis problem too. i solve it by go to comm manager, turn off the phone den on it again. den it was fixed~~
