Date in Today screen on one line? - 8125, K-JAM, P4300, MDA Vario General

On my device on the Today screen the date is shown over 2 lines. This seems a waste of screen space. How can I get it to show over one line?
Current, e.g.
Monday........................2154
05 June 2006
Wanted, e.g.
Monday 05 June 2006....2154
Thanks
Rob F

I don't know how to do that, sorry, however have you considered putting the date above the time on the taskbar? That way you can see the date in every window, and you can save even more today screen space. If you want to give this a try, then look at my thread here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?p=301200#301200

Hi, yes use lvmtime from the forum's own levenum
see here download cab, install and soft reset http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=45084&start=0

Thanks, I'll have a look at the taskbar option and also try the plugin.

or you could upgrade to the new AKU 2.2 ROMs. Then you can get the clock back in the topbar, and a one line date-line on the today-screen.

Date on today screen

I have an O2 XDA exec loaded with the corporate option. On my today settings screen i can select "Date" which allows the date and time to show on my today screen. For all the other today items I can move them up or down in their position on the today screen. The date option will not let you move it (it is locked?). It remains the topmost item. Since this is a position I wish another item to take does anyone know a way to dsable the lock to allow it to be moved down the screen?
thx
You cannot unlock that. But if you use LVMTime wich is a plug today that do the same and much than the original one, you'll be able to move it in the order position you want.
Perfect!
Thanks Bonisalive,
I was using RLCalendar but your suggestion works much better and a very small footprint.

Another one smaller
If you search a usefull app, you can also have a look on http://www.matepsoft.pt todaytime plugin. Much simpler, but smaller on screen...

Day and Date on the Today Screen

I have the 8525 and I updated to the new ROM a few days ago. My day and date take up 2 lines across the top now on the today screen whereas it use to take only line across the top. Has anyone else noticed this and is there a way to have it go back to one line?
Same Day and Date display problem
I noticed that too and was wondering the same if anybody else had this problem. At first I thought it might be a compatibilty issue with SPB Pocket Plus. Afterwards I did a hard reset with the default settings and the same double line display of Date and Time appears. It's become pretty frustrating and had to remove the Date and Time all together from the Today Screen. May be someone has a reg edit for this.
Is it possible to downgrade back to the original ROM? My 8525 has locked up a couple times since the upgrade, something that never happened to me before. Thanks
Interesting comments on the ROM. I too have lockup issues now more than ever. And yes, I understand that you can go back to the OLD rom. I may do that at some point. Not sure the "upgrade" changes are worth the pain I am experiencing with the lockups...looks like I just got locked up trying to synch.
And to your original question...I have two lines too. I guess I like that cause I used the large FONT and this caused the day/date to scroll off of the right hand side.

i also want to move/change/edit my date item on today screen!
Bumping this to see if anyone else has found a solution for this.
Try this cab I made http://www.8525software.com/component/option,com_remository/Itemid,27/func,fileinfo/id,58/
It puts the Date and Time in the top by the speaker and GPRS icon, then go to Today options and do not use the Date on the main screen area.
try rlToday (search this forum). Ask those skinning guys there to get you a 1 line simple skin. It is easy to make.
Thanks I ended up using the cab that puts the date above the time.

Sometimes Single Line Date hack is not enough, it's still 2 line on those lose QVGA when the week date and the month is both too long, like Wednesday, December 02, 2009...
Must hack into \\HKLM\nls\overrides\SLDte
and fix date month value to 3 letters

Smoeone please help noob HTC 2.0 question

Adding the "Day of the week" in M2D Home?

Hello,
Is it possible to get the information about the day (Sun, Mon etc) in M2D Home Tab?
I tried changing the date on the left side top of M2D Home Tab, by changing the regional settings(or HKLM\nls\overrides) but to no avail.
This link (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=446406) tells me its not possible.
Now is there an possibility to customize M2D (customizing HTCHomeSettings.xml) to display the day of the week anywhere else on the screen?

No you cant change, unless you use the newer M2D versions.

Success!!
I did manage to change the date and to display the day of the week on M2D.
I got this information while browsing another forum (Jade). The thing missing was the "HKCU\MUI\Curlang" registry edit.
Thanks nikmaster74 and azahidi.
For your reference:
8) Change Date Format on TF2D Home Tab - Credit to nikmaster74 for pointing this reg edit.
Check registry HKCU\MUI\Curlang - if value is 1033 (decimal), most likely the date format will be american format (mmm dd, yy). Changing registry <SSdte> at this state will not change the date format at Home Tab.
How to change ?
Go to registry HKCU\MUI\Curlang - change value 1033 to 409 (decimal) - Save - Soft Reset >>> date on Home Tab will change to format dd/mm/yy (depending on what's at <SSDte>).
Now, if you want to change to other formats, go to HKLM\nls\overrides\SSDte and put whatever format you wish.
e.g. ddd dd/MM/yy will return a date Thu 29/01/09. Note: doing this will also change date format at other tabs like emails, messages, file folders, etc.
