hi, i am lookng for a video player supporting subtitles in text format or other ?? is there anything like that ??
cheers, matt
I'm relative sure that TCPMP has you covered here.
i am using TCMPM and cannt see this option.
Don't think the core player supports subtitles and have not seen another player that includes this. Why not do what i do and encode the subtitles with the rest when i am encoding the video - comes out fine on my device - just about read the text. I use fair use wizard (free edition) for straight ripping from dvd to xvid including subtitles. http://www.fairusewizard.com/lang_en/fairuse_wizard_dvd_divx_xvid_backup_tool_light_edition.html
thats fine if i wanna rip dvds but i am tolking about avi format. i mean i usualy have avi movie in eng and polish subtitles in seprate txt format. i use vpaler on my desktop. any ideas ??
I think it does - in the version 0.72
Hi.
You may also try:
http://pdaclub.pl/forum/index.php?topic=58491.0
it's in polsh, but pictures are also.
Quite simple and it works.
And you will need the newest version of TCPMP: 0.81 with such support.

Yes, VLC media player. Google search it.
Can anyone help?
I need best video converter with subtitles included for divx-xvid movies. Also, what is the best resolution for HD? 800x400? So croping files must be suported to.
Thanks anyway!

This is great and has a custom profile setting for the HD.

Totally worth the $19.99 USD. I found using Windows Media Player to work perfectly with the file that DVDCatalyst generates with great sound and smooth playback. Subtitles can be selected and it has auto cropping. A++ in my opinion.

Thanks a lot! Ill try this and post my opinion!

Free and works for me!
The best is imho Total Video Converter 3,14 . It can do everything. And the best settings are 1000bitrate 128 audio bitrate , mp4 and hv264 and 800x480 resolution. Play it in Album.
djschumi ocketdivx encoder is pretty bad... it cant convert into mp4, so you must play it in coreplayer => no chance for WVGA resolution.
jetjockgordo: I will try that maybe. But the only thing my total video covnerter is missing is 2pass option.
I tried DVD Catalist - excelent converter with only one missing. Subtitles are supported only for DVD, not for DiVX/XViD (.sub .srt etc).
Thanks anyway!

I would suggest contacting their tech support. Mitch responds in a few hours and he might have a work around or another suggestion to get it to do what you want.

As you experienced with Total VC, other converters are hit-and-miss when it comes to usability/stability that is why I like DVDCatalyst, it has never crashed and works perfectly on my Vista 64 system.
Good luck!

I have the m900 and am trying to adjust the output dimensions in pocketDivXencoding. When I click resize it gives to windows with what I guess are aspect ratios. Bit its strange that there are 2 windows. I have tried to adjust 1 of them to 800X480 and I can get close but when I click apply it goes back to the previous screen stating the output will be something like 468X472.
Anyone have experience with PocketDivXEncoder
Have you seen [APP][REF]Video encoding GUI?
Hey,
HD Video converter is one of the best video converters that can very easily convert the video files into some of the most popular video formats. This is one of the best converters that can perform multiple works at one time. This converter can perform:
Part 1: Edit and Rip DVD Movies to popular video formats.
Part 2: Convert HD TS, MTS, M2TS, MKV, MPEG, MPG, H.264 video
Part 3: Convert Video with DRM Protection.
Thank You.
For me the best video converter there is Flash to Video PRO.
recommend you a hd video converter, leawo
and I usually to convert video to 1280x720, and choose mkv format.
Thanks i m also searching for this.

http://getsatisfaction.com/voddler/...ppear_when_using_hdmi_output_of_android_phone
its more up to the device framework whether to output the overleys (Subtitles) or not, when using HW accel'...
I wonder if anyone has the knowledge to bypass this

Hi,
I would like to find out how to edit the default video player software subtitles to add shadow effect to the subtitles.
These brilliant guys made the subtitles impossible to read that way and that really stinks, isn't there an easy way to edit some file and make it work?
It's just that the original default video player is the best hardware video player there is that works with subtitles over HDMI properly!
Edit>
The .apk is apparently called SecTabletVideoPlayer.apk
really?!? no one ?!
