hello
i search a modif of registry for activate always discoverable BT when i put BT on
thank you
I am after this, its a pain having to go into settings every time you switch bluetooth on in order to be discoverable!
VJVolublis should do this.

I have seen these types of quick bluetooth audio gateway programs, every one I have tried suffers from the same problem - POOR SOUND QUALITY
I am using I-TECH S35 earbuds, try out the usual way of connecting via connection manager and listen to sound quality and then try the shortcut program, you will see the difference.
I don't think thats whats being discussed here. We're trying to get the BT Discoverable Mode to be permanently ON.
Anyways in the last hour i've been trying some stuff out.
the -bluediscoveron param in VJVolublis not only enable discovery mode but also turn on ur BT.
I have that assigned to one button and the -blueoff param to 2 key presses of the same button.
Problem Solved.
Oh and wrong way.... about ur BT Audio Transfer.... search for IDTransfer v1.0. If you can't find it here, look for it under the software section of www.ppcgeeks.com. That should take care of everything. It works great on my BT set.

Hi,
i noticed everytime i turn off bluetooth (in order to spare battery time) it reactivate itself alone after a call... is this normal ? does anybody else experience this problem ?
(ps : i have pocket bluetooth tools, but i don't think that s the problem... is it??)
Thanks for any help
It is, and its not a bug, its a feature Its so you can answer a call using your bluetooth headset.
If you dont have a headset its obviously useless to you, but PBT is not under development any more, so you kind of stuck with the way it works now, or to un-install it.
Surur
Ok. i just had to read in fact the guide http://www.bluetooth.jazztel.es/guide_e.html to see that it can turn it back to off if BT is not used after 60 seconds...that s a good idea
Too pity they stopped development, it helped me a lot in the set up of the BT for activesync via BT and for set up of BT GPS...
anyway, thanks for the hint. (it gave me the idea to look a little bit further
Have a nice day!
I use PBT and I use the 60 second feature. What I found with my o2 clip bt headset is that the headset seems to lose connection to the phone after a short while regardless of the 60sec rule. Sometimes it would happen just before receiving or dialing a number.
Very annoying.
Cheers

I've tried SuperDave's i730 fix/hack at pdaphonehome.com, every thing seems to work except there is no way, or option to select "set as wireless stereo".
I get no stereo from bluetooth, WMP still plays sound through the device speakers.
I tried the "zoad2p.cab" from this site (works on Cingular 8125)
Same results.
I've also tried the Tornado a2dp I found here.
It's working on devices with AKU2.6 but I get the same results
as with SuperDave's fix.
One interesting thing...
If you launch WMP and play a song then activate voice siginal, the music
IS sent to the head set briefly.
To keep it active, select settings>about and leave voice signal running.
seems to work like Bluetoothaudiotoggle for about 45-60 sec.
I wonder what is missing from these hacks that we need to make it work.

Thanks, but it does not work for this device.
The audio is played only as long as the VoiceSignal application is open.
When I select the bluetooth headphones under listed devices
I get a popup for:
1.Edit
2.Delete
3.Set as hands free.
It's missing {4. Set as Wireless Stereo}
There is no option for "Set as Wireless Stereo"
Could this just be a missing Reg. entry?
(and I believe this is what I'm missing which may be the trouble).
Under Profiles, I have:
1.Hands Free
2.Wireless Stereo
3.Headset
*all have checkboxes.
I've tried every combination I can think of.
Thanks for your HELP, I really appreciate it.
Please move this thread.
Could a Moderator please move this thread over to Development and Hacking.
I think I might get more help there.

I'm interested as well in a solution (sprint i80) but I can't even get the option to check off wireless or headset; the only thing showing up after pairing is handsfree.
any ideas?
Which hack have you installed?

They should pop up.

Actually, I had read that the bluetooth audio toggle wouldn't work with sd's hack, so I had removed the hack. I just reinstalled it and it sorta works in conjuntion with the toggle; I can play audio over my bt headset, but an incoming call disconnects it and I can't hear my caller. Work in progress.
I currently have the i-tech clip and bluetake i-phono; the clip gives me music but no calls and the bluetake gives me calls and no music......
I also have a pair of the sony hbh something or other, but I'm trying to find them in my house!!!!

SuperDaves' hack for the i730 (I think is based on the Tornado Hack found here on xda) will not Work at all with the i830's bluetooth stack. It seems to be completely different. After you install it and try to use it you will get OS errors if you have error reporting turned on.
AudioToggle.exe seems to work fine, except its mono.
+ (the whole call answer issue)
I've also tried the Wizard hack with the same results.
I really hope we can find a device with the same bluetooth stack/build and figure out what we need to add to enable a2dp.
I'm looking for a way to progamatically set a bluetooth headset to use the wireless stereo profile using the .Net Compact Framework. I have contacted Peter Foot over at 32feet.net and he has added it to his wishlist for OpenNetCF. But in the meantime if anyone can help with this I would be appreciated.
I'm using the Toronado A2DP hack for my Apache and it works fairly well but everytime I turn on my headset, I have to go to the bluetooth settings and manually set it to use the wireless stereo profile. This is becoming quite dangerous while driving because it's not possible to do with the navigation keys (you must perform a press and hold).
On a completely different side note, if anyone knows how to perform a "press and hold" with the navigation keys, at least I may reduce my chances of wrecking my car.
Thanks - Mark.
The same thing happens with Jabra BT620s... I need to do the whole procedure which is quite long...
If anyone could make a simple click solution that would be great...!
A quick question: doesn't long pressing the play / pause button work?
No, it doesn't. The Play/Pause button acts like a single tap so it takes you to the edit screen.
I think I errored on my nomenclature. It's 'tap and hold', not 'press and hold', sorry.
Now, I'm a .Net developer so I need a managed code api to make this work for me, but if there are any CE Bluetooth wizards out there who could build a simple app where we enter and save the device name and you then set the device to use the wireless stereo profile, that would work too. I know there are lots of people who would love to be able to single click (or auto start) their bt stereo headsets. With this in mind, I actually have two different headsets that I switch back and forth so this app would need to handle multiple headsets (maybe just multiple instances of the app?).

No it doesn't. All we need to do is to simulate the action "Set As Wireless Stereo" through a program... Then with a simple click to set our headset as wireless stereo. I know it seems quite simple in my mind, but it isn't I guess...
SkierHiker I hope you can make it my friend...
I am having the same problem earlier but I had assigned a button to do the hold-tap and it had solved my problem since.
All you need to do is to go to the SETTINGS->BUTTONS and assign a button to "<CONTEXT MENU>" (I had assigned my START button to it).
Another way is to use a macro program called "SKSCHEMA" in which it would record the location where you need to do hold-tap and normal taps and then play back as a macro. A drawback is that the playback may not be accurate because it's based on time playback (tap here, wait for 3 seconds, tap there)There may be cases in which you are running some apps at the background thus causing your pocket pc to lag a bit.
I have the same issue with an i-tech s35 headset.
The setting of a button for context menu is a good idea but to be able to create a shortcut or better still have the headset default to wireless stereo would be great.
Hope someone can come up with something.
BT620s autoconnecting in wireless stereo!
I have applied the upgrade for the BT620s here http://www.jabra.com/JabraCMS/na/EN/Misc/Software620s and now the headset autoconnects and set itself as wireless stereo!
For anyone else with this problem try Mortscript. In the following thread there is a script which will perform the necessary mouse clicks automatically when your headset connects.

didnt wanna create a new thread for this as its kinda connected to the BT320s.
Im wanting to buy a BT320s for my TyTN (ive applied all the various reg hacks to improve A2DP) is there a way i can test out my TyTN using my PC as the speakers???
Was hoping just trying to transmit A2DP to the pc would work?!
I found this file a couple of days ago in another forum under xda-developers.com. I can't remember exactly which one so I'm posting the file here for anyone that needs it because I can't find the link I downloaded it from.
There are three files in the btaudio.zip archive. BTAudioOff.exe, BTAudioOn.exe and BTAudioToggle.exe. If I read correctly BTAudioToggle.exe works as a stand alone file. Just save it anywhere, create a shortcut or map a button to it and you're done. It'll basically toggle the BTAudio on or off. Pretty simple. The other two files are self explanatory, one turns on the feature and one turns it off. I tested it today while watching a movie on my XDA. Works pretty nicely and I've found no bugs yet.
This works perfectly with my Jawbone. Yes, it will probably drain the battery on the headset but I only use it in temporary circumstances.
Hope this is useful to someone else.
the hp ipaq 6965 which i had before the x7500 had this feature built in, i'm wondering if windows mobile 6 will have it as well,
also, i tried this program and once you tap the answer button on your headset the audio goes back to the phone
Thanks for the heads up. I'll know to toggle it back on or turn it down.
it doesn't work when there is a call ..I mean it auto switch off and then no sound from BT..this app has been around for an year but practically no use..

Hi,
you can use btIO for the same. It's a tray app so there is no need of shortcuts for on/off/toggle.

Perfect for my needs - just received a set of Sony DR-BT30Q Stereo headphones from ebay and they work perfectly with this.
Doesn't stereo headsets (A2DP) work without the bluetooth audio gateway? At least mine do...

Hi c0rnholio. Nice application, thanks.
I only have one problem though, whilst I can activate audio2bt successfully and I can hear music via my ordinary BT earpiece, it also automatically invokes my voice calling software thus switching the audio2bt immediately off.
Any ideas how to overcome this?

Well, if you don't use the built-in voicespeeddial then it's pretty easy.
Just set: HKLM\software\oem\voicecommand\launchappenable to 0
MS-VoiceCommand will still work after this reg-change.
If you do use the built-in app then I have no idea.

I tried. Looks good.
What is AudioGWCC ON/OFF?
The problem is with the scenario: I switched audio to headset, listen to music, incoming call, I pick up, music paused (Mort player), I hung up, music starts again, but it switched back to the device.
Any idea?

AudioGWCC is the Switch for the Audio Gateway Control Channel. I've put it in because of some headsets required to explicitly establish the control channel first (from what I've seen). The behaviour you described is normal. The device closes the control channel after a call is finished. I don't know if there is a way to deactivate or to circumvent it.

oh men, this is really one of the most important tools what you can download and install it on the Ameo.
I couldn't say how much do I have to tell you : thank you.
BTIO together with WifiIO are the perfect combination to manage complete BT and also WiFi from today screen.
And it's freeware too. absolut perfect.
Gentlemen,
I am sorry to bother with the same topic, looks like all are happy with BtIO and similar utilites...
I have a problem that drives me crazy...
I am listen to audio books (using Mortplayer) a lot, the problem with incoming calls:
1. Switch audio to headset, sound plays in headset. Perfect.
2. Incoming call:
.........Device is switching sound to a loudspeaker
.........I hear 0.5 sec of loud sound comming from a device
.........Audio playback is paused
.........Ringtone plays from loudspeaker
3. I pick up the call using headset button
.........Audio switched back to headset
.........I can hear some ringtone sound for 0.5 sec
.........Phone conversation
4. I hung up using Phone button or headset button or another party hung ups
.........Audio playback resumed
.........Audio switched to loudspeaker
5. I have to act quickly to switch audio back to headset by pressing button. This is very annoying
I tried utilities:
acbToggleBT-0.8.cab
BTAudio_PPC.ARMV4.CAB
btaudiocf1.cab
btaudiotoday.cab
btIO-0.5.CAB
bluemusic 2.0.[desktop].exe
BlueMusic looks the best, still it can't detect the scenario (5)...
Looks like I am missing something... This problem looks a very basic for me and I believe should be already solved...
Please help!
Also, I don't see a practical value of utilities above... I can svitch Audio to BT and back just by clicking the button on a headset. (I desabled the Voice comander)
Regards,
Dimitriy
I haven't found a program fix that will resolve the issue yet. I love the utility and use it knowing what to expect. Doesn't make it useless, just isn't 100% perfect for some users. For me it works perfectly. I'd rather it have one bug than it not work at all. Maybe one day they will update the program but for now it's great for my use. I just take an extra moment to pause manually what I was listening to when a call comes in or while i'm on the call so this doesn't happen to me. Especially if I'm at a client site.

I see your point. Can you explaine what exactly problem it is solving for you?
I can switch audo to BT and back by just clicking Send button on the headset. So what is the use of the utility?
hello poor guy me is the same i have tested all audio to bluetooth software and nothing work i have try the reshack on this site to put stereo to mono and nothing work i am disapointed the only solution i have is buy a stereo one because on the samsung i320 you have an option to use that kind of hardware.
if any person have a solution it was great
(sorry for my english)
With my headset (www.jawbone.com) if i click the button it activates audio to bt temporarily. It'll activate MS Voice Command then turn off. there are registry hacks that allow this to work differently but I prefer a utility to control it through. I havent been able to get audio to bt like many other users. I can watch movies, listen to my Corelayer, audiobooks, voicemail though email, etc in private. My device, HTC Advantage/x7500 can't do this by default. Maybe your headset allows these featured while mine doesn't. My headset is not meant to be used as an always on audio device so I need these utilities.

Well, I am using the LG HBM-700, it has a numerical keypad and OLED display, so it is very handy with X7500 - I can keep X7500 in a bag while using it as a phone.
http://blackberryforums.pinstack.com/10363-review_lg_hbm_700_style_i.html
I tested several BT hansets and all alows to switch audio to BT and back with the Snd button. You need to disable Voice Commander:
"HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\OEM\VoiceCommand\LaunchAPEnable" set to 0
What I can't blieve, that so basic problem is not solved. People on XDA using WM devices for years... Using BT for music and phone functions is a basics...
Any ideas?
According to a post from "Appelsap" we can make some progress to the A2DP connection.
I had a lot of trouble with connecting to my car radio (JVC KD-ADV49 or AVX44)
I can make a handsfree connection without any problem but when connecting also the Stereo mode (A2DP) I got serious problems.
It disconnects and never came up again. Sometimes it was able to produce some sound but then disconnects after one second.
I tried all tweaks without any result. Only the next tweak helped me out untill know;
Make a new DWORD entrance into HKLM/Drivers/BuiltIn/BtA2dpSnd with a decimal value of "149" The name is "Priority256" Now I have good sounds and it connects ok.
I will test it further and keep you posted.
The value has to do with the altering of the priority of A2DP
Also the track information is diplayed into the JVC head unit and I also can use the remote for skipping to the next or previous number.
I use windows mediaplayer, and when playing music the voice commands of Copilot or Navigon are spoken with little muted music, perfect!
Also I use Cyberon voice command which can be activated by the radio display.
What is the name of the Dword?? I have this same issue with my JVC.
"Priority256"
Oh sorry, the name is "Priority256"
Thank you, I will give this a try and report back. My system is a JVC KD-AVX77
JVC car radio's
Ok that's a newer system so in my opinion it's a HTC/Widcomm issue.
I think HTC has to bring a good solution for these problems
Don't forget to make a soft reset
I agree, I never had a problem with Microsoft stack. But I have never been able to use A2DP with my JVC on any HTC using the Widcomm stack. (HD2, TP2, or TD2)
No go on my JVC. Same problem. Disconnects as soon as I press play.
Glad to see it works for some, sorry to see it doesn't work for all.
Alan, you may want to try to alter the device code, so it connects as a regular phone rather than a PDA, I've seen some people have success with that.
I haven't yet fully tested the priority setting on my own car stereo (from parrot), preliminary results were good though, will report back as soon as I have done extensive tests.

I made the following change:
Change Registry setting:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Bluetooth\Sys
Add the DWORD setting COD=5374476
This makes devices see the HD2 as a 'Normal' phone.
Still no go on the A2DP. Using the the Handsfree profile works very well, just no Stero Bluetooth.
It's very strange that you don't get a connection.
Today I had to make a soft reset and it's still working.
You can try to change the value of the registry key between 60 and 256.
As "Appelsap" already mentioned; with "60"you get connection problems..
In my case before this tweak I get handsfree connection and A2DP connection aswell but also disconnects when I press play onto my JVC set.
Then it will reconnect but with no sound at all (Handsfree and A2DP).
When I connected only the handsfree option everything went well.
With this tweak I have really a good connection also the sound is good only the voice from navigation software is cracking when I'm playing music.
Preferable is also to make a new connection to your headunit by deleting the old one.
I found an other issue with the music player from HTC.
When I use this player the connection will break and reconnect without sound.
When I use Windows Mediaplayer everything goes ok including skipping to next number and so on. How can you explain this.
