Hi,
Does anyone know some software that can make
the XDAII function as a remote screen for the PC ?
It would be great to use the XDAIIs touch screen
to control the PC - maybe via bluetooth ?
Cheers,
Johannes
Johannes,
Try using VNC .....
You'll need to install a server on you PC (TightVNC, RealVNC or [email protected])
Then use the Pocket PPC Viewer on the XDA
Regards
John
well you can use windows therminal services
or pocketVNC to get the screen from the pc to the pda
but it will clone not extend your desktop
and at least with therminal services (which is included in both the pocketpc and in windows) it logoff the pc user when the pocketpc connects
and at least with therminal services you need the vidcomm bluetooth stack to get the PAN profile
because if you use activesync to connect and then login from the pocketpc the desktop user gets log'd off and this disable activesync which breaks the connection to the pda
I am looking to write some code to rename a pocket pc device, does anyone have any examples to do this?
I am currently running an O2 XDA 2i with Pocket PC 2003.
I have Visual Studio .NET 2005 Pro.
im newbie
how to transfer files from pc to ppc and vv through wifi?
I use totalcommander on both the pocketpc and the pc. If memory serves me right, you would need a plugin on the PC, but you can find that on www.totalcmd.com
Oops, when you use totalcommander at the PC, you would need a activesync connection. the pocket pc version supports both activesync and wireless.
There is no way to see PPC files on PC without ActiveSync because it does not have the necessary server components, but for PPC to PC total commander is definitely the way to got (you would only need it on the PPC).
use this its great.

u can also use MobileExplorer from Mymobiler.com.
Sure there it is possible so see the files of PPC on PC without Activesync. Use FTP Server on PPC and just browse with FTP Client through WiFi on PPC
hi,
is there a PC Suite for the HTC HD2? if so where can i downlod it?
many thanks
srinivas
In a word- no specific PC suite, but you can download the synchronisation software.
What you need is Windows Mobile Device Centre (for Win7 or Vista) or Activesync (for XP) which will allow you to synchronise your data. Both of these are availble from Microsoft as downloads. If you are going to connect to the PC make sure to download and install the relevant program BEFORE connecting as otherwise there will be no compatible USB drivers.
The downside is that WinMo doesn't now include Outlook for the PC as it used to, and it won't sync with Windows Mail or Outlook Express, so unless you own or wish to buy Outlook there's little point in syncing. You will need to use the sync software if you want to apply an official ROM update.
Thank you for the information

The program is perfect. Is there free license code?
Try this, it is free. Unzip and copy to phone, launch directly or create shortcut if you want.
On the PC you need to run VNC or TightVNC, also free.
Thanks for answer
Thanks for answer, but I liked so much RDM+, and decide to buy it. It's a little bit expensive for me, but it is worth.
