ditto
transcend 4gb 150x
newest qtek rom in t-mobile mda pro
works flawless.. not even the problem of the camera not being able to save pics when there is more then 2gb free space as reported with older roms
K-Data MyFlash x150 speed 4Gb FAT32 file system
Works fine
I have the problem with the camera not recognizing the space, but I thought I had the latest ROM?

I think you have the OLD ROM based from your signature. Just upgrade to the latest ROM and all will be fine.
I've upgraded to the latest ROM from O2 and it's still happening...
Just got mine last week. I had the camera problem but have since filled the card to over 2gb and the camera now works.
Isn't that why we bought a bigger card anyway?
I wish you could get the 8GB SD cards already
ps isn't "mad welshman" redundant
Yeh 4GB too little, where are the 64GB ones

Hello,
I am using XDA O2 (Model No: PW10A1) with a 512 MB storage card but it cannot suffice. Therefore, I want to change it with a more capable one. Now I need to know that what is the maximum capacity of storage card does my device support?
Regards,
Can Quistador
According to O2's official site, the maximum they've tested is 1GB.
You might be able to use even higher capacity cards than that but it's best to try it out before buying.
Hope this helps

Which brand of 2GB SD-CARD are you using? I`ve tryed several brands, that all does`t work with data more than 1GB. It crashes the filesystem on the SD-CARD which loses all data. No work for me as far.
An solution would be nice, especially to use large TomTom Maps. Please name your working SD-CARD as exectly as possible. What kind of OS are you using? (Version)
Thanks and Bye, Sven
My kit
Mine is:
O2 XDA Mini s
Upgraded to ROM 2.21.4.1
Mini SD card 2GB from Sandisk
Works well and very perfect.

erm, slightly late reply here... my SD card is a sandisk, it's standard size, not mini. Device info is:
ROM version: 3.04.00 (from lumpy's kitchen)
ROM date: 06/12/02
Radio version: 4.21
Protocol version: 32S54
Hello,
when u`re using an 2GB SD or miniSD card on an MDAI, could u please post an scan / picture of that card. I`d like to buy one, but tryed out some 2GB SD-Cards that won`t really work.
The detection of the 2GB card war correct. Accessing up to 1GB works perfectly. But cupying more than 1GB to the card (TomTom amp) and accessing this card would crash the file system of the card and all datas will be lost. Result for me: No work!
If you have better experiences, please post it and especcially the correct brand for the SD card.
Thnaks and Bye, Sven

Better idea... use the damn search. then read the damn wiki. and don't start anymore threads like this.

Hi aiyan11
Welcome to XDA-Dev.
It looks like no-one is speaking to you . I think it's because this problem has come up many many times before. Use the Search XDA-Dev using Google Sticky post near the top of the messages list.
Your problem is a known one. A quick snappy answer would be to hard reset, but certain cards can cause problems and certain devices may have dodgy contacts. - Time for a bit of reading.
Have fun.
Please use one of the existing SD card threads.
Mike
EDIT: Looks like someone has spoken and is not too happy. Oh well lesson learned hopefully. PM me if you need guidance.
Hello,
I know this topic resurfaces every now and then, but I can't seem to find the answer to my question in the numerous threads on the topic.
Is it possible to use microSDHC cards in the HTC TyTN (with the official WM6 rom)?
What are the size limitations (e.g. can one use an 8 GB card)?
Thanks!
Jörg
I don't think there is one "Official" Wm6 Rom - different phone companies offer different ROMs.
But with the right drivers built into that WM6 ROM, it will support SDHC cards.
Keep searching, I'm sure you'll find the right thread, I know I've read about details of the specific driver on here.
From memory, WM6.1 roms should all support SDHC, but not all WM6.0 ROMS will, only those with the right driver.
Cheers, Oggy.

I meant the rom that HTC offers on their European site (for htc-branded phones)... I should indeed have clarified that...

Yes, but I don't know which driver is in that rom, nor whether it is one that supports it.
Jörg
I use the official AT&T WM6 ROM, and it supports SDHC just fine. I thought that most if not all WM6 ROMs supported SDHC...
What I would do is use whichever WM ROM you want and if it doesn't support SDHC then just patch it so it will support SDHC.
Check out this thread.

I didn't know there was a patch. But reading that thread, there appear to be different devices where the patch seems to break the wifi. Wifi is important to me (one of the reasons I bought this device).
So, this raises a second question: if it doesn't work out of the box with the rom, does it work with the patch without breaking the wifi?
Jörg
I went ahead and bought an 8 GB Sandisk SDHC card.
And it works!!! No need to install the patch.

Well, I don't know if you can help me out with this... I have an AT&T 8525 with the Official WM6 ROM from HTC (3.62.502.3, Radio: 1.54.07.00) and I bought a SanDisk 8GB SDHC Card and it won't read it. I have already formatted it just in case but nothing. what do you think is going on? Thanks.
I too have an 8525 that is running the official AT&T WM6 with a 4GB SDHC card.
1. Have you reformatted the memory card in FAT32?
2. This happens with my mem card, where when you insert it into the slot, do so slowly until you hear/feel the card barely click into place. The 8525 should be able to read it after that...otherwise it be a soft reboot. Weird I know, but I read someone posting it here somewhere.
Good luck

I have the original WM 6.0 ROM from HTC (European site, German version) on my TyTN and I'm running an 8 GByte microSDHC from SanDisk without any problems.
There is no patch or other actions necessary. It works out of the box.
err i downloaded the patch and i followed all the instructions, replaced both .dll files and installed all the cab files, but it still saying that the capacity on my card is 1948 MB and i have 4GB SDHC. please advise
Please can someone enlighten me on this one? is there any way i can put a driver on my xda trion so that it can read 4GB sdhc? please? i tried the ones instructed in this thread but for some reason it does not work and my hermes still only reads 2GB, i have sandisk 4GB sdhc, WM6. please someone advise.
Hello everyone,
so after my Dell Venue Pro, that i´m in love with , finally got the last WP 7.8 Update i want to to upgrade the internal storage.
Last year i´ve switched the sd-card from the build-in 16 Gbytes to 32Gb class 4 card from sandisk (You can find the tutorial on the internet).
It worked perfectly. A few weeks ago a guy from the htc hd7 forum posted, that his device now works with a 64GB SDXC card as well.
So i´ve tried it for myself and i´t works At Amazon i bought a 64 GB Card Class 10 from Kingston. First i had to change the format from exFat to Fat32, reset the phone, at bootlogo put out the battery and change the cards. And it works. The device is stable and in my opinion even faster.
Afaik i´m the first one trying this and for me ít´s working perfectly.
That´s it.
CU
P.S.: Sorry for my bad english, i´m from Germany :-}
Awesome! I just ordered a brand new Venue Pro on eBay. I have a Sandisk 64GB card ready to go, I was hoping that it would work Can't wait!
could you provide us with your benchmark results from wpbench...would love to compare it to stock memory..

I'm sad to say that my 64GB card did not work out It seemed fine at first, but then my phone started freezing/rebooting constantly. Now I'm left with a locked 64GB sd card... ugh.
Maybe it was just my card, I'd like to try the Kingston... but it's a hell of a gamble.
EDIT: It's working! I did a restore with my 64gb inserted, and since then I havn't had any issues *fingers crossed*.
One thing I have to ask, why format it to fat32? Why not leave it as exFAT?
