hey i was wondering if neone could recommend a wakeup call application my samsung t809 had one built in and it was awsome is there ne apps that work for ppc that do the same thing?
There seem to be two reliable alarms on the wizard (well as reliable as you are going to get) Pocket Wakeup, plays mp3's and other files, see here - there is an english version to download http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=43692
And mobialarm 3.2 which plays wma's and many other files see here http://guillaume.tristant.free.fr/
both are garbage neither run on 12hr time base they both run 24hr and dont seem to be so stable!
CheckMortplayer, i think it can do it.
Cheers.

I think you ought to be more responsible before using the word 'garbage' there. Give a bit respect to the author of these software.
I'm using the PocketWakeup and it works fine with me. and YES, they are 24 hours but they are stable. Try using the one built in with WM5, you will know what 'unstable' means. And, may I ask, WHY DO YOU NEED A 12HR TIME BASE? Don't you know how to read the clock? Go get a wind-up spring grandmother clock.

hi, i have problems with wizards alarm and i was wondering,
dose any one have or know any good third party alarm clock software?
someone else in another forum here asked a similar question. My favorite bar none is Chronos. I've used it for a year or so and have never once missed an alarm
where do i get this Chronos?
where do i get this Chronos?
Firstly, ever heard of google?
Secondly, don't bother it will not wake up the device from standby so it is effectively useless.....
Says who it won't wake a device out of standby? I use my wizard as an alarm clock to wake me up in the morning. After 8 hours it is most definitely in standby.
Agreed, google is your friend, you should be able to find a trial of Chronos on any of the normal pocket pc software sites (handango, pocketgear, etc.)
Try the trial and see if it fixes your problem... I would be willing to bet that it does.
Errmmm,
I have the trial version (so it is the latest and not cracked or illegal); it does not wake the K-Jam out of standby (especially when snooze feature is used). This is also the case for my wife's XDA Mini S as well. Alarms are a well known problem on the Wizard; you must be a lucky one.
Hi,
Give pTravelAlarm a shot...
It's really great... it does wake up the device - and it turns it into an effective alarm clock. Really nice. Using it on all my business travels.
Google pTravelAlarm
Oh, and it also has a today plugin. Great little proggy.

WELL i have installed it. (pTravel Alarm) and it dose not wake up.
the simple way of doing this if anyone wants to use this software is that you use th wizards standard alarm to wake the wizard and then time it to set off after 1 min.
After my hardreset i did not install SPB pocketplus and my wizard never missed an alarm again. Although some people with pocketplus do not experience any alarm trouble i will stay away from it.
Also there is a free program called "check notifications" or something like it. It searches for duplicates/corruptions in your notification database. (probably responsible for the problems)
i'ts a standalone .exe file that you can copy to your ppc and then run from there. I heard it does wonders...
You know what, i will attach it to this post as an extra service

THANKS
if i remove the duplicate file will take currupt my Wizard?
eeehm i have no clue as to what you're asking here
But i guess the question is about the notification checker
just run it on your pda, you'll get a list of all your notifications (alarms), it will show the duplicates in red to delete.
the file will not take corrupt your wizard, but don't give your corruption wizard taking of the database
Pocket Wakeup

Chronos... the alarm clock of the gods!
I've been using Chronos on my K-Jam with the original and new ROM and it works a treat, waking me from stand-by, snoozing etc.
check out http://www.activekitten.com/en/games/detail.php?ID=351 for more info and a trial... their support is great as well... let 'em know how you find it for you on your machine
try Mobialarm 3.2 - works for me and plays most types of media files including wma. And its free
http://www.pocketpcfreewares.com/en/index.php?soft=587
And yes it does come out of standby

AHHHHH
This is driving me crazy.
Downloaded, installed and looked really good BUT......
When the alarm goes off and I press dismiss, it just keeps on vibrating.
I cannot stop it NOTHING I have done short of going to my running programs list and KILLING the app stops it vibrating.
Is it just me???????

not good. it's done that to me, only once on the original (pre AKU2) ROM but I've not seen it do that since. might be worth a support request just to let 'em know
ALARM
I use mp3alarmpro.net and it wakes my k-jam just fine and without fail..
Best part is you can choose any mp3 or wav file from any folder in your device

How did you download this?
Each time I try their download link it takes me to their site map page.
seems to be broken. have sent an email to the ActiveKittens to find out what's broken! Hopefully they're just releasing v2.9....
Thanks Offbeat - I will keep an eye on the site.
Hello,
I am wondering if anyone has had any problems with Chronos V3.5.2 (alarm application)? I am having a problem where the alarm sometimes works, sometimes it does not.
if not,
what applications are you using or would you suggest using?
Thanks
qu1nn
THe only application which works all the way right is SPB Time ... all other applications such as CityTime Alarms, Chronos etc. are pathetic excuse for alarm software. There is always something not working.
I've installed SPB Time 2.2.1 and found a bug witch was corrected in 2 weeks by the SPB team. Now version 2.2.2 build 1312 is more than perfect.
something ive noticed with my alarm (SPB Time) is that if i let the ephone go into sleep mode it doesnt always work, i notice that when i bring the phon eout of sleep the time is usually 15-30 minutes off, then it jumps the correct time (this is in S2U2) so im assuming the phone doesnt keep real time when in sleep mode, cause the alarms to miss their time
haven't noticed such problem ... works like a charm for me.
Thank you for your help.
SBPtime is working good, so far!
I will repost here if it flakes out.
Too bad the today screen does offer more customization (probably in a future release)
for example digital time font, size, the ability to show/not show alarms, or the ability to change the format of the date
but still much better than chronos.

I made the same experience like //osavioro//, I have tried also many alarm apps, but non one works correctly. And I have contacted the contributors for support - but I didn't receive any answer!!!!
How is possible that the programmer can sell apps that didn't work correctly, so I understand now, why some user (except me) use keygen and exe-patches!

i think the problem is with the mogul and how often it updates the system time, not with the alarm app(s)
I don't usualy make requests, because I find it that programmers code what they want more then what others wants, but I might get lucky and some saint comes in here to take a look
So, basically what I'm requesting is a new panel, spesifically an alarm panel. The internal WinMo alarm is to deep in the settings, and the G-Alarm did never work that well for me.
However, might it be possible to use the WinMo alarm, and just show the settings, and such in a panel? That way, you could simply switch to that panel, and have it quicly accessable throught one step when you go to bed.
Or, if thats too much, just add the G-Alarm program as a panel
where do you have problems with g-alarm? i use it every day and never had problems with it

It's not really a problem, I just think its a bit to heavy to be an alarm... And to start it up I get the "volley ball" for a few seconds, when I'm really tierd that also gives me the urge to just forget about the alarm
So, it's just a personal thing, I do find it nice, just bloated. (No offence to those who like it), but I like clean and quick stuff
CantoX1i
I am with you on this one, i really miss a good snooze function on the other alarms!
The one who makes a good alarm panel is a saint
Have you tried the latest version of G-alarm? They have simplified the interface from what it used to be.
I use it, and highly recommend it. Especially now it has been improved.
I am talking about version 1.2. It was a little more complicated before version 1.0.
Its really easy now, to turn of the mazes, or whatever.
Can someone 'hack' the alarms on the tf3d?
It only let us set up 3 alarms ( i think its few ), maybe 6 can fit in the same window.
Come on guys you're expert on these things
Let us have our TP2's with more than 3 pre set alarms.
Thanx in advance
i use the "g-alarm" app, you have to pay for it now but i think version 1.5.1 is the last free one and you can find it if you google search
tnx but i like the original alarm set on tf3d, i think if someone can had more 3 alarm sets it yould be perfect. you wouldnt need other software.
tnx again
Oh, come on. My last WM5 phone only had 1! You really need to be awoken that frequently, you narcoleptic! Just add some notifications to your calendar!
i use klaxon... it integrates into manilla and sits out the way once set up.

Not true, visit www.ageye.de and you can download 2.2 for free.
the winmo alarm is intermittant and does not always work!
Yea! i've been suffering since WM5 from those 3 alarms, would it hurt to add more?
honestly chaps .... give klaxon a go ... it's free, sits outa the way, takes almost no system overhead, and if you dont like it get rid of it....
no i dont work for them, but have been using it for a month and a half with various different alarms set, and am very happy with it.
Download klaxon HERE
Hi guys, first post from me so excuse if theres some infos missing what you need, but I'll add as something is asked.
I'm a long user of Nokia phones and just changed my E90 into a Diamond. And the one thing that I really miss is that theres not exactly different profiles to choose from (or made your own). Theres only selections for silent and vibrate, other than the normal selections. And I really miss that from Nokia phones. Just a few simple clicks and phone has a loud theme with a different ringtone and SMS message sound, or then its almost quiet (like when my baby is sleeping).. I think you all get the picture, if you ever had Nokia phones =)
So my reguest is for someone to point out a program or if someone wants to make I would be glad, really glad I think some others would like these too
I could make another post but I'll just add few other programs also to here that maybe someone knows if there exists similar for Diamond
- BestProfiles (enable selected profiles to turn on at some time of day)
- FlipSilent (turn ur phone face-down and its on silent, works for alarming to go snooze)
- Putty (great for symbian phones but I found only programs that arent so good as this is)
Anyways thnx in advantage if someone can help a dude out...
PS. only had HTC for a few days but after starting using it I had to order a data-plan to my mobile and a better battery, but this was off-topic..
Try ageye's G-Profile (http://www.ageye.de/index.php?s=gprofile/about), you get a fully 14-days working demo and full app is just 5€! One of the most happily money spent ever for my Diamond, now I even have it start playing music when I plugin earphones/carkit and stop when disconnecting!

I just installed it and it seems a fair try, tho it has a lot more possibilitys that i would actually need from a app might even help that dude out to translate it to my native language, like i just did to PocketShield, not finished yet but almost =)
Below again some off-topic, maybe some admin explains to me how to get rid of it =)
