There is not published any O2 German or English ROM

there is nothing available.
any other source?
is there a way to make a backup of his own rom?

I don't know. Did you try the search button yet? But anyway, even if it is possible to make a backup, what are you going to do with it? You cannot use it to restore a bricked phone because it lacks the proper signature. I don't see the point of having a private backup ROM, without the signature it is useless anyway.
If you just want to make a backup of your settings, try Sprite backup software.

hello, i have the actuall rom for the german XDA Orbit, at the moment i try to upload it. when the upload is finnished, i'll post here the link to the file.
So, the file that you are looking for is now on the ftp server from the xda-developers in following directory: ROOT -> Uploads -> Upload -> XDA Orbit

i am having a O2 xda II mini
i want to know what all software are needed for handling pda
i seen in forum that many user refer to usage of registry editor of pda i wanted to know how to do that
i have been working with other gsm phones but not yet with pda ! kindly guide
i tried searching forum .. but no luck
i have nothing for the pda connection except the active sync
please guide me for the rom upgrades

You may try downloading the rom from the ftp of this website.
I have a rom too but you need to provide me with a ftp / whatsoever that can hold 4x MB, PM me if needed.
No worry to the copyright as the file I am giving you is downloaded directly from o2 website before they ceased operation, and won't work unless you have an o2 mini.
