Hi just got my Atom and i am having real trouble setting it up for GPRS and EMAIL. I am on o2 UK. If anyone has there Atom set up and working please tell me what settings you are using.

i tried to set up my MDAII to work with Vodafone in Germany.
First i tried with the built in MMS-Composer but it didn't work. Then i bought EzWap 2.5 but it still does not work.
Can anyone help with settings for on of these Tools (EzWap or MMS-Composer)
GPRS-Connection works good.

Same problem with Vodafone Greece! I think my settings on the xdaII are ok but do not seem to be working.
First time I have posted although I have done quite a lot of reading today ............
I have just purchased a new i-mate. Previously I have owned iPAQ 2650 and 5555. I find the i-mate to be a very promising device.
One problem has manifested itself though. My cell supplier provided me an i-mate, not an O2 XDA II, but on the O2 network. When attempting to set up the GPRS I found it a bit tough going and called O2 support which informed me that the O2 XDA II had an essintial piece of software that enabled the owner to easily configure WAP and GPRS setting. Obviously my i-mate does not have that software and we proceded to configure manually. The O2 tech said that in the future I was likely to experience trouble with GPRS as a result of not having the configuration software.
I am having trouble already today by virtue of connection trouble and a reluctance to load web pages and my AOL.
I notice that O2 has a ROM upgrade on their site. Does anyone know what the result of me upgrading my i-mate with this software will be?
Has anyone else had any similar problems?
Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

I have an XDAII which I have set up GPRS on both Vodafone and o2 in the UK. I have also set up an imate in the UK for Vodafone. I assume you should have no problem setting up a GPRS connection for o2. Check the forum for the GPRS settings for o2, and set up in Connections. The imate manual has instructions on how to do this. If you get stuck send a post.

i have just bought a xda exec that is unlocked. i have a vodafone sim in it that i have taken out of my vodafone 3G data card.
i can send sms from the device but i can't use gprs / 3G
i have seen fourums on the net suggesting i need a cab file from i-mate, but unless you have an i-mate you can't get in.
i have also contacted vodafone, they suggested that i need a ROM update but wouldn't suggest where to get it.
Can anyone help me!!

I've got an Xda Exec and I've got no problems connecting to Vodafone GPRS/3G.
Im use the Tom Tom Navigator 5 with the Traffic information and I have no problems connecting.
Have you set up the ISP on your Xda Exec.
If you need the setting for the GPRS and the MMS for Vodafone send me a PM and I will provide you with the information.

I have recently acquired an Atom Exec from Hong Kong and live in the UK. All works perfectly well except for my MMS function and GPRS. Can anyone please provide me with the settings I need to input. I am on an o2 monthly contract in the UK. Please help! Much appreciated.
P.S. called o2 who have said that they cannot help because the phone is not listed in the UK! - damn useless people

Hi All,
I have the xda2s on payg and the settings for the net work fine.....I also have an xda exec (unlocked) which I would like to use on the net as well......I transferred the settings(and sim) from my xda2s to the exec but allthough I get a connection on the exec every time I type in an address it replies with "the page cannot be found check the name and try again"............the settings are identical to the 2s but no joy !! any suggestions please ?,
