Hi there,
I'm using xelencin's custom ROM for Tmobile USA. Although this version's Comm Manager looks awesome compared to earlier ROMs, the Activesync button is greyed out for me. In earlier version, I launched comm manager, then hit the AS button to start the program. I'd like to achieve the same functionality with this comm manager as well.
Sorry if this has been brought up before; searching for this has not yielded any results for me.
Thanks!
I have the same issue :-( Wondering if anyone know why and how to get it back.

I have IPDashboard, Agenda Fusion and Wisbar Advance 2 installed in my Jam. I'm having problems with my PDA not ringing(or vibrating) when in stand-by and need to do a soft reset to enable it again(ringing function). I missed several calls already and I decided to upgrade to 1.06 ROM. i installed the same set of apps and got the same problem. I did a hardreset and have not installed any of the said app and now my Jam works like it should be.
I'm just wondering if any of you are having the same issues that I have and what applications currently installed in your Jam.
WisBar Advance2 is known to have caused problems with Phone Edition devices.
The guy at Lakeridge is even kind enough to inform anyone about this in the middle of the front page on the wisbar download site:

stupid me i missed that.. i've used it with my iMate and 6315 before but I dont remember having that problem
thanks!
I had the same problem with Wisbar.
In the Lakeridge forum there is a beta version that solves that problem.
Works for me.
(In the new beta there is also a working signal strength meter.)
i tried the beta.. so far so good. i just can't have a PDA without WA
task bar replacement for Magic Button
Does anyone know of a good task manager/closer that doesn't cause lockups and screen freezes?
I tried using magic button, but its buggy as hell, same with wis bar advance.
If I don't use any task manager, my jam is jamming. no soft reset or lock up issues.
Please help.
thanks
WA 2.0.14 beta works fine with my Jam(as of now). no lock ups or anything. i just cant find any task manager with feature set as WA thats why Im sticking with it(and great support too)

Hi dnp_now,
I'm using vbar (can be found here: http://www.vieka.com/vbar.htm) as well as TillanoSofts SmallMenu (http://www.tillanosoft.com/ce/smenu.html) for switching between apps and closing them on my german MDA compact.
Both of them are running at the same time and are also linked to one hardware button by VITO ButtonMapper (free version for two actions per button is included in a Cebit-Software package available here: http://www.mobile2day.de/cebit/).
This combination is very practible, because I can start and close every program installed on my MDA using the hardware buttons and dont have to use the stylus:
One tap of the hardware button opens SmallMenu with which I can start the programs and switch between already opened apps, two taps on the same button opens vbar, with which I can close the programs (also those running in the background!).
So one-handed operation is possible without any problem. The only downer is that vbar cant' be used in landscape mode, i.e. better close it when switching to LS and reactivate it when you switch back to portrait mode again.
Hope this helps,
greets, BGK[/url]
I would suggest SPB PocketPlus. Very stable, and well worth the money.
jam keeps turning on when connected via activesync
Hello,
Does anyone know why my jam keeps turning on when its connected via activesync?
I put it on standby, then a few minute later it turns on, and try to sync with my desktop. I'd rather have it on standby most of the time.
thanks
Hey,
I wanted to know if anyone knows how to convert the Kaiser cabs to a more appropriate CDMA version. I have no experience in them, so I have no idea where even to begin. I am hoping someone here knows how, and would be kind enough to change them. A few guys on another website are tweaking the original Touch Dialer, which worked well on gsm phones, but had tons of bugs with CDMA (including enabling data, memory leaks, and disabling ## codes). If anyone can do anything, I would really appreciate it.
Thanks!
The following from the Kaiser is OK to use, I'm running them and can vouce:
Audio Manager
BT Quicklink
Comm Manager
Home Plug-In
You can also run the new X-Button v1.5.1 Build 30229 and I'm running the Beta CDMA HTC Touch dialer from PDAphoneHome too: http://pdaphonehome.com/forums/638252-post57.html
Note that the Voice Recorder and the Network Wizard do NOT apply and do NOT work on our phones.

You can dl the cab for the Kaiser Home plugin and it just works. Same goes for Comm Manager and the rest that he mentioned. So in short, you don't have to convert them at all.
The thing to be careful with is with things like the older version of the dialer/network wizard/etc where we KNOW that they don't work. But once the devs update them (like the dialer has been) you should be ok without need for conversions.
yeah, i've been using the 5 tab home from the kaiser, and the touch comm manager, but that's about it. i heard that even the comm manager has some stuff that conflicts with CDMA, which is why i was wondering. I'm also using the beta touch dialer from paul_hammons, and that works great, and i absolutely love it, but I was just wondering about the other stuff, and when/if it will be converted.
Well you can use the audio today plugin and the audio app too AFAIK
Hi there does anyone have a original Comm Manager for the o2 XDA graphite? or something for this similar phone? I need one as my Comm Manager does not work even if i find it in the Windows Folder and try clicking it. Please Help
I HATE this task manager that comes with the ROM, but I can't find how to un-install it. I've looked for programs to uninstall hidden programs, but can only find one for today plugins. Any advice? Thanks in advance.
Not Likely
Correct me if I'm wrong...HTC TMv2 - I believe that Sprint built it into the ROM. Thus your only option is to disable it in the settings and use something else...I like quickmenu myself.
Thanks, I didn't try that yet. When I installed SPB Pocket Plus with the task manager on, the touch screen wouldn't work! It's all good now
i found this on other forum, but anyone know how to install???
http://www.ce4arab.com/vb7/showthread.php?p=870039
just download cab file and install on your device.
I dont know what these cabs are, but the links below the picture were these. i dont have a way to send them to my phone to try right this second, but i will later... if anyone wants to give them a try first here they are...
Thanks Glenn - I gave them a try on my HTC Universal.
They're two different versions of "Taiseer CommManager Diamond", and neither seems to work properly on the Uni.
Good idea, shame it doesn't work properly for me!
-Paul.
1211259817.cab is a newer version. Installed it on my Polaris and it looks great and works very well.
Is this for HTC prophet too?
Very interesting. The IR Beam actually works with the Hermes WM 6.1, which is good news indeed. Bad news is that it (at least on my device) breaks ActiveSync, will not connect to my Exchange server. Installed both with the same result. As soon as I uninstall the new comm manager AS works...
Actually, with the latest PDAViet 19581 build ActiveSync DOES work...
I finally installed them on my Tilt and noticed that some icons are missing in the 1211209932.cab. but the other version 1211259817.cab seems to work with preinstalled icons from colored comm manager.
Also, I dont seem to have any problems with the comm manager working. All GREEN on my end...

Installed second file on my trinity...
works perfectly
Works on my Polaris, rom 0.67 Bepe. But I can't sync with my PC, I can explore the pda, but Windows Mobile Device Center doesn't sync...
Works on my Touch with Shadow 2.1 rom. Sync works but I use Missing Sync. Only issue is that the top bar shows "Communications" but the bottom half of the text is hidden beneath the next bar.

This file completely screwed up my comm manager all together. It somehow put on a comm manager that I have never had on my phone, the ****ty looking OEM At&t Tilt cm.
What's even worse is that it will not uninstall, and it will not allow to install another one over it. Somebody, anybody please help.
Thanks
