Have you tried letting the battery fully recharge? If it's been discharged for a longer period of time, try letting it charge for a day or so it gets its charge cycle back.

XDA2 does not charge fully on first charge

Hi
I'm busy charging my XDA2 (iMate) for the first time. It has been on charge for approximately 12 hours, and the main battery has only reached 93%, which it had reached 4 hours ago. The backup battery is fully charge. The battery amber light is on and flickers occasionally to green.
Can anybody tell me why the main battery is not charging fully and how long should I leave it on charge for the first time?
I'm worried that there might be a problem?
Please advise me As Soon as possible.
Thanks
Calli
it charge up and then start to be used untill it reach a lower level and then it start to charge again thats how it works
@rudegar :wtf do you mean? I don't think that is an answer on why it doesn't load beyond 93%.
I don't have an answer either. I guess you can start using it, but if on next charge it doesn't go to 100% i would ask for a replacement.
Have you tried disengaging the cable/cradle then reconnecting?
m4io what i mean is that my xda2 charge (amber light) untill it's full then it turn green for a short while and then turn amber again for awhile and then greeen and so on
this lead me to believe that it chage the battery and when it feel it's full it start using the full battery and when it's used the % it feel is ok then it charge again and so on

Is my battery dead??

Hello,
My problem is that a morning my battery was 5% left, I switched it off and thought to recharge it later on. Night came to home, put it on charge (wall AC Charger). After 4 hours nothing .. no answer, no charge. Tried to switch it on, tried to reset it. BUT nothing happened.
Now I went to this thread : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=374108
If this is what happened? Should I do this? Or any other solution?? Thank you very very much of answering.
Regards,
Usman.
please help me!!!
anybody???
try to put our your battery out of the phone at night, go sleep, and when awake put to phone and try to turn on, if it don't help, try to recharge manually
that's the problem...! i can't recharge manually!!
i did the jump start.... now the red light is on!!
what does red light means....? i should leave it for charging or it will never chanrge now??
Jump Start
Jump Start may or may not work with your problem, you may need to charge your battery with external charger because after getting fully discharge it will not come on re-charge state.. you may say it is a design flaw.
If you don't have external charger than try to put positive and negative wire keep in contact for more than 5 minutes ( as described in jump start trick for 10 to 20 sec) but do this only at your own risk.
my recomendation is to use external charger.
i am also having this kind of problem with my wizard but my battery is not discharged my phone battery is draining out with no reason. i bought a new battery for my wizard but same result. If anyone can help me i will be very greatful.
Regards.

[Q] New GENE... HTC P3400i

Hello everyone!
this time i've weird problem with my new gene HTC P3400i having windows 6 professional.... As my daily routine i put my phone on charging at night around 2AM and unplug the charger when i wake up around 7AM till then phone gets fully charged from 5% to 100% but one day when i woke up and unplug the charger it was only 22% i thought may be charger was unplugged so i put my phn again on charging and gone to do my work, after around 3hours when i saw the phn it was on again 22% but phn was showing charging i was curious like wat happened to phn, then switched off my cell and plugged in for charging but again after one hour when i switched it on it was on 22% :| i unplugged it and went out and saw that battery was draining very fast... 22% then 20% and so
on and withint 15min it was on 2%, i was out for around 5-6hours and my
phone was still alive with 1% charge remaining then atlast it died.. i tried to switch it on 5-6 times but it start goes to boot screen then windows logo and red service light and turns off....
end of phase 1
x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x
i reached home plugged phone for charging and after around 15min turned it on... now the problem begins.... when i turned it on it goes till windows logo with red light and switch off on its own... i again tried switching it on with charger still plugged but it doesnt respond i tried 10-15 times but of no use... i left it there for a while and again swithced it on again the whole process started till windows logo and red light and switch off... then again no response.... i thought may be battery died(well i dont think coz suddenly battery cant die on
its own when it was giving stamina for 1day for a 2year Old GENE).. so i went to buy new battery and switched it on and it worked like as usual but i noticed that battery was draining very fast in front of my eyes.. i plugged in for charging and it was charging fine when it was 100% i unplugged the charger and suddenly i saw that charging meter went to 89% :| :| i tried plugging it again and again unplugging but this time 77% :| i thought may be there is a problem with battery itself so replaced my batery with new one and again plugged it in phone and switched on this time i thought it is fine and plugged it in for charging but again the same problem when i unplugged charging meter went to 90% and subsequently battery drainage... :|
and yeah one more thing i noticed is when i plugged charger without battery the service light shows red light blinking very very fast however with normal phone it should be like call, end buttton and amber light shows up for one time and gone....
Can anybody help me out with this ... please help me this time :| :|
charging problem
hi buddy
this problem because of your charger either u r using a duplicate charger or another charger having different frequency..
all u have to do first bring the charge of your battery to zero and then use a original charger its temporary problem i have also met this thing 3 or 4 times ... don't panic it will be resolved...
enjoyyyy

[Q] Samsung Tab 7.7 - Battery Life & Warnings

Hi there, I purchased my 7.7 Tab 3 weeks ago. Loved it as expected. I've got few concerns about the battery though. Hope someone can share solutions / experiences with me.
The battery life isn't so impressive as I heard about from reviews and all. It lasts hardly 48 hours after a full charging with no real use for more than 30 minutesx2 times within less than 48 hours. However, it was connected to WiFi all the time and was syncing as well (but on standby all the time). Now another bugging problem is that when I plug the charger after the battery having completely drained and the device is turned off by itself (before completing 48 hours), the screen shows a warning logo first instead of the charging icon. The warning logo has warning sign and the icon of a drained battery with a red color at the bottom of it. I do not know what does that mean. I just know that when that appears, the device is not charging at all. I have unplugged and plugged it back 3 times to get it charging again. So far, it happened two times and I am sure it will happen again but I just want to know whether this is the sign of an unhealthy battery or any other parts of the device? This happened to anyone else? Your feedback is welcome and well appreciated.

sometimes... the cable is the culprit... a damage cable will gave the same error... btw.. it is not advisable to really drain the battery dry before charge it... but that just my opinion... just try to check the cable... and if there is anyone around you that having the same cable... test to charge your device with their charger...

First of all, you may not want to have left the battery completely drained, as this might damage the battery. Secondly, since your battery is completely drained, some undercurrent protection mechanisms must be activated, and there should have enough input current before the battery could be charged again. The data cable should not have enough current to charge up the battery at this state, it is lucky for you that you got it charging again after three trials.
If you drained up the battery again, it's recommended to charge it up with the AC charger.

Fully discharge, no sign of life

Hello there,
i've had problems again with my battery of my Nexus 4 and i wanted to try a really full discahrge. By full i mean waiting the turning off of the phone while in the recovery mode.
The last time i did that, i plugged it in the charger and all went almost fine (at the beginning a red led started to blinking without screen turning on; after a while it started normally).
This time the phone isn't giving any sign of life. Any hint (excluding the official assistance)?
SOLUTION:
I've pluged/unplugged the phone from charging so many time that probably electron by electron the battery charged enough to start (LOL joking). By the way, after few plug-unplugs the red dot started again to flash, then finally after a few plug-unplugs it just starte from nothing :|
leave it on the charger for at least 1 hour
my friend has an asus memo pad and it got discharged to 0% and it took him 1 hour to get it up to 5%.
