i just saw a new dutch rom for my Qtek S200
RUU_Prophet_2100725_21007105_020720_QtekNLD_Ship.exe
I'm not on a very fast line atm, and the Qtek roms are quite old in comparison to the others. Plus it's dutch.
is anyone interested in this, then i'll upload asap ?
I haven't tested the rom yet.

If you can upload it, it is much better, I think. Who knows maybe someone wll be needing it later.
I am interessted in the Dutch ROM so please load up that ROM

been running it for a day. Not much difference with the 2.9.7.106 one,
but device seems a bit faster.
a2dp is still possible using the hack, not natively

Thread move to Alpine from UPgrade, mod, unlock.
Try the I-mate ftp site.
For this follow the wiki link for the BlueAngel, go to the avlible roms page, at the bottom is a link for the ftp site of I-mate.

Update to the newer O2 ROM but use Pugs update version as this includes the newer Radio ROM version too

This upgrade will error the first time you try, but it works on the second time.

Many thanks for all your advice. I am going to stick with the modified 02 upgrade, it seems the general feeling is this option.

I was given an I mate PH10B PPC Phone.
Darn thing has a beta OS on it. I see the link for Imates FTP site but I have no clue what files to download. I have nothing critical on this PPC so data is a non issue.
Im a total newbe all I know so far is the OS is a ROM and I can put the device in serial/usb mode. Thats all I know so far.

After flash how many RAM total have Wizrard? 50MB or only 44MB?

Everything seems much quicker compared to the K-jam rom I had previously. Used to hang quit a bit.
The first shipment Qtek WWE Rom has size ~45mb.
This brand new shipment Qtek WWE Rom has size ~52mb.
Why there is this difference between sizes?

I've upgraded my Swedish Qtek with that ROM, no problem whatsoever.
You just need to unlock your device first with lokiwiz utility: http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=33796
It is English ROM so if you would like to continue to use Swedish OS, don't use it. If yes, you need to install Default_Prodigy_Nordic_keyboard_1102.sa.CAB package to change the hardware keyboard layout back to nordic. You will find this package from this zip file ftp://xda:[email protected]/ExtRom_1030712_121_10410_Qtek_NOR_Ship.rar. To get Swedish keyboard on your screen you should install Skandinavisk tastatur for PocketPC which you will find at http://www.epocket.no/tastatur/

Original ROM was 1.3.7.13 SVE but I had already upgraded to 1.6.2.4 WWE (T-Mobile version).
Your device is most definitely locked - it's not SIM locked, but country locked. Try to run ROM upgrade and you will find out.

I just got a new qtek s200 (i-mate jamin) from vodafone and i was wondering what's the best and newest rom available.
in the imate's ftp i downloaded JAMin_WWE_213923_2139123_022021_ship.zip, is this the latest rom available? is it better to use another rom like dopod?

As you mentioned, you saw the last i-mate ROM in the FTP.
Many people said (PDAMobiz and also here) that the Dopod ROM is the more stable and better than others. I tryed both and now I'm testing the Spanish i-mate ROM. I can not tell you wich one is better, at least for me, find much better the i-mate one, but I'm sure you can find a lot of tester and they are going to give you another opinion.
Try it and choose the better one for you, then, share you opinions!

AKU3.2 has new feature !
unless i think it will make my prophet boot faster
aku 2.3 alone has halved my jamins boot up time, just some annoying issues with the rom im using.

You probably cannot just download WM6 for that device. If you want WM6 you will need to cook a rom (create a rom for your device) or get someone else to do.

How difficult is it to cook a rom? I have basically no experience in this area, but I am desparate for a rom for the dell axim x51 (not 51v).

i also have an xtel one phone, and am also looking for wm6 update, or atleast an aku3 for wm5.
Seems like support for this phone is waaaaaaay low, but i read somewhere that it is very similar to a Hyundai pda.
