Exact!
1) Install memmaid (i use v 1.6)
2) apply this FAMOUS tweak:
HKCU\SOFTWARE\MICROSOFT\SHELL
Create an empty key with the name "NeverDorkMemory"
3) Open memmaid and go to the slider bar to allocate the memory and EnJoy!
Ps: It's recommended to keep the memory over 0.5Mb (No rings and some 10sec freezing). Now i have it to 0.8Mb
(...look at the picture, it's 0.03, NOT 0.3; recommended is 0.5, NOT 0.05)

Camera application will complaint about low memory. And I don't see any benifit for not letting the OS handle the memory allocation.

There is no need for WM5 as WM5 use all the ram for program

is there any application/program that really close the application in WM5 like the vBar in wm2003.
SpB Pocket PLus has this function but after installing the system goes too slow. is there any small tiny utility that really close the apps in wm5.

Get yourself MAgic Button and forget the rest. It's free, easy to use and it has no issues with WM5
Magic button recommended. google it.
If you just want a program to close appication, a tiny freeware called "smclose" (8 KB only) will definitely help!
Put it in your \Windows\startup folder.

thanks bro just going to install it, i have used O2 (cracked) and its working fine too but i think is much lesser then o2.

All rom's under WM6 have the same problem: Memory decrease when using PPC. Ok there are some prog like Memmaid or OXIO but it's only a "tool" .....they didn't solve the BIG prob of WM6 !!

to get more memory you can just decrease your page pool or something, but this problem isn't just limited to just wm6. Every computer system has some variation of this problem, which is why everything runs so much better after you restart your computer.
I made a cab install for "dciBattery" + "qwertyMemory". It shows two thin color lines :
. remain battery
. remain program memory => free RAM (not free InternalStorage, neither main device storage)
It will run from WM startup, so I recomend install them on device.

This icons are from "darklord69" taskbar (credits from him).

I made my own cab install, based on darklord69 taskbar.
It runs from PTG stock ROM 2.03. If the HTC volume control don't run propely, you have to find the correct HTCVolumeControl.dll for your language.
(I can upload cab file, so I zip it => unzip and install cab)

I need some tech information on the shift before I go out and buy one.
1 is it possible to install WM software on it like PI8 Wallet etc etc?
2 Would it be possible to run Igo8 navigation software on the device as while?
3 Can I make phone call from it?
4 If you install software on the device for WM where can you install it on the Hard Drive or the SD card?
5 While an SD Card of 32Gb work on this device?

It is possible when you have liberated SnapVue, or you can flash it with a liberated rom. I don't know about PI8 Wallet, but everything depends on the size of the application.. the shift has too few space to install many programs. But it would be better with time

It is possible but with the constraint that Windows have to be running. You can use IGO8 PC with GPS GATE application to share GPS from WM to Vista or you can use IGO8 but you need to create a network share between vista and WM to get space in WM.

you can actually make phone call with a modified rom but you will not have the voice working (it means you can hear the other but he will not hear you).
but this should be ok in a week or 2.

currently, there are no storage solution for WM.. except if you use network sharing with Vista there you can write on HD but not on SD.

Yes, Koala is right. I tested 16 SDHC and it works flawlessly. I have not tested the 32GB, so I think it should work in my opinion.

Hi All, I have an Xda Exec running Tomal's 6.5 Windows. Can anyone help me with increasing my program memory? I have 40mb of storage memory free but only 8mb of program memory free. Is there anyway I can transfer some program memory to storage? I'm new at this so simple instructions would be appreciated. Many thanks all for your contribution to Xda Developers. Eric

As you should know 6.5 eats a lot of resources on Uni, the best way to get more free prog space is to disable any today plug in (windows default titanium) or to go back to 6.1
or back to WM5! YAAAY WM5!
can you please suggest a stable and fast WM6.1? and also with great looks and does not drains battery power that fast..
