Change default SMS handling application - 8125, K-JAM, P4300, MDA Vario General

Could somebody give me the registry settings which tells Windows Mobile 5.0 which application to use to open SMS messages.
I suppose this will be some settings, like you can change the default mail client or internet browser client. But I can't find anywhere the settings for the default mail client.
So when a new SMS (or MMS) message arrives, I want to read it with the application I have chosen.
I know this must be possible, sinds FlexMail changes the default sms beviour to let FlexMail open SMS messages... But FlexMail is too slow to handle my SMS's, I prefer the fast O2 SMS application http://pdaphonehome.com/forums/showthread.php?s=6f76aa0ed39258637a0e06904265c6a8&t=70428

Need same solution after installing FlexMail
I installed FlexMail and have found that it will not send SMS messages reliably. I tried to uninstall it, but can't seem to access the default SMS/MMS application. I can't find it in the registry ... messaging still defaults to wismail, which cannot be found (after uninstallation). Any ideas>

Anybody knows the solution to this? I tried the O2 sms aplication and I think its great, but I can't find a way to set it as default!

Try reading the SDK about the SMS transport and SMS interception. It's quite easy, but not for beginners.

That rules me out then!

Click to collapse
to reset the default sms handling, (so FlexMail will not be used anymore, but the standard Mail application will be used) :

I didn't find a way to make the 02 sms application the default...

No more Sms in Inbox after installing ArcSoft MMS 2.0.16

Hi all,
i installed the 2.0.16 Arcsoft MMS client from a .cab coming from the ROM for SPV M1000/Qtek2020 : this is the version where MMS client is integrated in "Inbox" ... i know, it wasn't the best thing to try on a XDA 1...
So my pb now is that i can't read anymore SMS in my inbox : i can send SMS, but when receiving SMS, they don't appear in my Inbox - i know that i receive one cause i use "Myphone" plugin on my today screen - in which i can see the last SMS received ...
Last thing is that i can't uninstall this damn MMS client, cause it was intalled with a .cab ...
So if anyone have an idea to either uninstall (even "by the hand") this MMS client or solve my pb ... don't hesitate
Thanks in advance.

Composing email in HTML/Rich Text ?

Hi,
Is there a way that I can compose mails using rich text or html format ?
I am using the normal email application provided in the ROM but couldnt find any options to set this.
I dont need any fancy stuff but just being able to use bold/underline/bullets etc. Is there any 3rd party email composer OR a registry tweak that can enable this option
Thanks in advance

Default SMS Application

Afternoon all,
I would like to change the default SMS application to Vito SMS-Chat. What do I need to change in order to do this? I would assume something in the registry?
Thanks,
Steve
if you have SMS-Chat start up when your PPC starts, and leave it open, it should catch all SMSs and display them in it's own program
Incidently, I don't think there is a way to change the default SMS app in Win Mo.
there is, otherwise the palm app wouldnt have been able to do it but unfortunately i dont know how to do that.

Looking for help with Registry and Email

I am looking for any info regarding wether or not there is any registry value that stores email subject and body text that I can pull from. What I am trying to do is similar to M2D's email and SMS pages. I would like to access the subject and body of emails and SMS so that I may use that text in my own Today skin, (a preview of emails or SMS without having to open the
Messaging program). I have looked in the registry but have been unable to find what I am looking for. The only thing I found is the messaging state that shows how many emails and SMS that I have, no actual text from the email or SMS itself. If there is no existing registry value, can one be created that I would be able to pull from, and if that is not possible is there a plugin that I would be able to use that would give me access to the emails without having to open the messaging center on my phone, and if there is no plugin that exists would anyone be willing to help me make a program that would run in the background that would put email and SMS text in a registry value that could be pulled from if that is even possible to do. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Hi there,
first of all.. Yes I have used the search funtion but have not found the answer for me.
I would like to change the SMS settings. At the last Energy Rom on Xperia I had my SMSs displayed like an Email Account in the normal Email thingy that comes with windows mobile.
Background is that I want to dissable the Email and the Messaging Tab in Manila. I would like to launch the Email program that comes with WM. In there I should get an overview of all my email accounts and SMS/MMS.
Does anyone know where I can chnage this?
Thanks in advance!
