R v still waiting for new software/upgrades to enable video confering in ppc ? sorry it's been a while since I last visited this forum .... obvisouly have got thousands of new messages...

Guys , what can I say, but Thanks....
I have read many posts and applied various fixes/ addons ... My first day with a Jam and I'm loving it
One question , have tried the search function and as far as I can see its not here. I registered with Imate, and although I brought my Jam from the UK my ROM update page is in Spanish !!!

currently we work on a WM2005 compatible version. Since WM2005 is brand new we just started porting our application. It simply will take some time since some essential functions and mechanisms are gone in WM2005. Some now wait for response to some requests to Microsoft. As soon as we finish development of the new version we will announce it on our website.

Just wandering, I have recently bought a mda Vario II on T-mobile. I haven't got any mates with video phones so was wandering if I can use front video cam for anything else ?
Maybe with Pocket Messenger maybe as a webcam ?
Or even just a piece of software that I can use to "test" it's working at least ?
This maybe a silly question, but i am sure some of the smarties here can help

Hi i have just got the ameo and love it!!! Only thing is i cany find the MSN messenger on it?? Has it gone or am i being silly? But i have looked everywhere and the cd they give you to download a version does not have my Ameo software on it???? please help or tell me where to get the programme. thanks everyone!

You're quite right, it's missing on the Ameo.
However, you can download the newest and considerably better version for WM6 called Windows live Messenger. Works perfectly on the Ameo and is more akin to the PC version.
Do a search for it on this forum. It's in an older thread.

In order to start MSN messenger, go to Start>Program>Pocket MSN.
Once you have started Pocket MSN, you'll see MSN messenger as the first item for you to use. It's a great little tool. I've been using it a couple of years now, and does everything I want it to do
